Congratulations to Student of the Week -Kanyen Alvarez!!! Kanyen, the daughter of Chris Alvarez and Tara Neighbors, is a third grader at East Coffee Elementary School. Kanyen was chosen to be honored because “she listens and studies well, works well with her peers in social settings, always has her homework done and always does her best”, says Ms. Jennifer Reed, a teacher at Kanyen’s school. Kanyen’s favorite subject is science and she wants to be a Third grade teacher when she grows up! Rosalyn Partin, owner of the Manchester H&R Block, has been inspired to recognize great kids in our community all through hockey season. What does hockey season have to do with our local students? Well, H&R Block gives each Student of the Week a set of Nashville Predators Hockey tickets, a commemorative plaque, as well as a special letter of recognition.
