Three people were injured Wednesday evening in a three vehicle crash in Manchester. More than $9,000 worth of illegal drugs such as LSD and cocaine were seized last week by Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies patrolling on Interstate 24 before the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester. Sheriff Robert Arnold says deputies seized 37 hits of LSD, almost an ounce of cocaine, illegal mushrooms and numerous prescription pills. He added even fruit flavored marijuana was discovered. Deputy Jonathan McGee said some of the hash oil seized came from dispensaries in Colorado. Some marijuana was found in cookies. Well the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival may have ended on Sunday night with the Billy Joel concert, but items left behind still remain at the festival grounds at 1560 New Bushy Branch Rd. An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in a Lincoln County Judicial Commissioner being charged with assault. On March 3rd, at the request of 17th District Attorney General Robert Carter, Special Agents began investigating an incident that occurred at a market on Huntsville Highway in Fayetteville a few days prior. State officials say a new program will help veterans and active military members find jobs as truck drivers. Gov. Bill Haslam launched the “Highways for Heroes” program on Tuesday. The program’s goal is to help veterans and active military personnel who drove commercial grade vehicles during military service more easily find jobs as commercial truck drivers.
