Every spring, students’ in Tennessee skills and academic progress are measured by a set of statewide assessments called the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program, or TCAP. Students in third through eighth grade take the tests. Results from 2015 have been announced and Manchester City Schools have a reason to celebrate! Drug Charges Filed Against a Man and Woman From Manchester

Michael Brent Clowers, 29 and Constance Nicole Love, 33 both of Manchester were arrested over the weekend on drug charges. The charges against the two include, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of schedule II and introduction of drugs into a county institution. Clowers was driving a vehicle and was pulled over by Manchester Officer Jamie Norris. After a check of Clowers’ driver license he learned that the license had been revoked/suspended. Norris allegedly found a small plastic box that contained a small amount of crystal methamphetamines in the floor board on the passenger side of the vehicle. When...

Tullahoma Man Facing Several Charges After An Incident On Sunday

A Tullahoma man was arrested on several charges following an incident Sunday Aug. 2 at the intersection of Lincoln and Jackson Streets. Joel C. Rogers of Cedar Lane was charged with aggravated assault, possession of schedule II and possession of schedule IV. The arrest came after an alleged incident involving Rogers and the driver of another vehicle. The Manchester Police Department is attempting to identify a female that may have been involved in a car burglary. On Saturday, at approximately 2 pm, a vehicle was burglarized at Raider Academy and a brown Coach purse was stolen from the vehicle. According to a Facebook post, the car and items stolen belong to someone from Smith County that was visiting Manchester for a soccer play-day. Car Burglaries Lead To Beechgrove Woman Being Charged

A Beechgrove woman has been arrested in connection with a string of car burglaries and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card. Tiffany Lee Corrigan, 22, of Old Hickory Road, Beechgrove was arrested July 27 by Tullahoma Police Investigator Tyler Hatfield on the charges. Warrants allege that Corrigan took property totaling $3,643 from a vehicle on Safely Drive during a burglary. She is also charged with taking property from vehicles at various other locations. Record Month For TennCare Fraud

The month of July brought a record for the state’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) in terms of the amount of money people have been ordered to repay the state for TennCare fraud. In July, people convicted of TennCare fraud were ordered to make $154,000 in restitution to TennCare. In total, TennCare fraud restitutions have led to more than $3 million being repaid to the state. Man Pleads Guilty to a 2012 Coffee County Murder

Troy King of Grundy County plead guilty to 2nd degree murder in Coffee County Circuit court Wednesday. He was accused of murdering Thomas Colucci at a residence just outside Manchester in November of 2012. He also entered a plea of guilty to theft over $1,000. Investigators alleged that Troy King killed Colucci and they said robbery was a motive for the murder.
