sure he will successful at it. Yusuke was presented with a
plaque (courtesy of K&S Trophies of Tullahoma) and a set of
tickets to an up-coming Nashville Predators game.

Motlow Sports Update
The Lady Bucks (5-18, 3-12) will host their final home game of the year, and recognize eight sophomore players in a special ceremony, when Southwest Tennessee visits on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tipoff. The Lady Saluqis edged the Lady Bucks 80-75 earlier this season.
Alexis Smith led the Lady Bucks with 13 points.
In the men’s game Motlow picked up their 20th win of the year (20-4/12-3) by knocking off Dyersburg St 113-93.
Jaylen Barford led the Bucks with 27 points followed by Terry Holt with 25 and DeQuan Miller with 24. Miller needed 11 points going into the game to become the 6th player in Motlow history to score 1,000 points or more over their two years at the school. Miller now has 1,013. The all-time career scoring leader is Tim Fant, who accumulated 1,551 points from 1988-90. Miller needs just 10 more made 3-pointers to break the career mark in that category.
The Motlow basketball teams will host Southwest TN on Saturday beginning at 4pm.
After opening the season with two of their first four games ending with tied scores due to darkness, the Motlow Lady Bucks will begin a two-week, 10-game home stretch when they host Gadsden State on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Lady Bucks Field on the Moore County campus. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m. The Lady Bucks (1-1-2) took their first road trip on Tuesday, playing a doubleheader in Boaz, Ala., against non-conference opponent Snead State. Motlow dropped the opener 6-5 as Snead scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning. Although the official Motlow softball record book shows no ties in the schools’ 20-year softball history, the Lady Bucks recorded their second tie in the last week in game two at Snead. The Lady Bucks scored the tying run in the top of the sixth inning (3-3), and after holding Snead scoreless in the bottom of the sixth the game was called due to darkness.

CHS Basketball Splits with Tullahoma on Senior Night
Playing before a packed and partisan crowd on Friday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym, the Raiders and Lady Raiders earned a hard fought split with their cross county rivals Tullahoma. Al White Ford/Lincoln paid the admission cost for every student from Coffee County CHS and the Raider Academy on the night as both fan bases combined to tally the biggest attendance night of the year on Senior Night.
The Lady Raiders opened the basketball doubleheader as they dropped a hard fought 61 to 47 decision to the Lady Cats. Coffee County, which cut the 9 point halftime deficit to 3 points in the first 2 minutes of the second half, saw a string of turnovers and missed shots help Tullahoma to go on a 9-0 run over the next 3 minutes. From there, the Lady Raiders could never get any closer than 8 points. Senior Tyger Fenton led Coffee County with 14 points while senior Cameron Davis added 11 points. The 4 CHS seniors, Fenton, Davis, Sydney Pearson and Sara Brown, were named the Gateway Tire and Service Center Co-players of the game for the Lady Raiders.
In the boys game, the Red Raiders roared out to an 8 to 0 lead in the 1st 2 minutes of the game and never trailed as they turned back the Wildcats 61 to 49. Senior Peyton Talley led Coffee County in scoring with 18 points while senior J.P. Duncan tallied 13. The 4 Red Raider seniors, Talley, Duncan, Addison Carter and Zack Taylor, were named the Gateway Tire and Service Center Co-players of the game for Coffee County.

20th Ranked Bucks Win Again
The Motlow Bucks played and won their third game in the last four days when they hosted and beat the Bryan College junior varsity squad 118-55 Monday night at Copperweld Arena. The Bucks, ranked No. 20 in the latest national poll, have not lost at home this season, winning all 12 of their contests in Lynchburg.
The contest against visiting Bryan College was no contest at all as the Bucks ran away from the Lions early and never looked back. The 118 points scored by the Bucks tied the school record for the ninth-most points ever scored by a Bucks team. It had been done three other times, with the last coming in 2009 against Hiwassee. The school record for points in a game is 138, scored in 1994 against Chattanooga State.
Everybody got into the scoring column against Bryan, with DeQuan Miller leading the way with 22 points and Clint Nwosuh added 18.
