The Titans have released punter Ryan Allen from the team’s 53-man roster.
Allen, signed by the Titans on November 7, punted eight times in the team’s game against the Chicago Bears. He played previously with the Patriots and the Falcons.
The Titans currently have punter Trevor Daniel on the team’s practice squad. Daniel, who played at Dickson County High School and the University of Tennessee, punted in the team’s game against the Colts last Thursday. Daniel appeared in 18 games with the Texans from 2018 to 2019.
The Titans face the Ravens on Sunday in Baltimore. You can hear that game broadcast live on Thunder Radio.
Westwood’s Rockets and Lady Rockets both came away with wins
over Cascade Monday night.
The Lady Rockets used a strong defensive performance and
picked up 8 points from Rylee Clark to drop the Lady Champions 26-23.
Also putting points on the board for the Lady Rockets were
Jules Ferrell with 7, Audri Patton 5, Kadience Medley 3, Emily Holmes 2 and
Reece Finch added a point.
Meanwhile, the Westwood Rocket boys used 10 first quarter points from Jayden Carter to jump in from of the Champions 21-7 and cruise to a 52-41 win. The Rockets held a 50-25 lead after three quarters.
Carter finished with a game high 21 points on the night.
Blake Cummings added 13 for the Rockets.
Also picking up points for Westwood were Jaiden Warren with
6, Dylen Trail 5, Blake Hillis 3, Cayden Trail 2 and Caiden Warren 2.
Coffee County Central High School basketball will start
sooner than first expected.
The Red Raider boys have picked up a game at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Jackson County. This comes after Knowledge Academy cancelled
Thursday’s home game.
Meanwhile, the Lady Raiders have also picked up a game – set to travel to Grundy County for a 7 p.m. tip on Thursday. This is a makeup for the Saturday home game that was cancelled by Goodpasture. The Lady Raiders will still play at home at 6 p.m. Friday against Siegel.

Monday night was senior night for the Red Raider football
seniors, as well as dance team, cheerleaders and band members.
These seniors didn’t get to participate in a regular senior night
after their game on Oct. 30 with Riverdale was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Thunder Radio would have been there to broadcast the game, so we thought we should be there Monday night to broadcast senior night festivities at Carden-Jarrell Field. We were there to broadcast live. You can hear the podcast here:
The final Coffee County Central High School home football game of the year on Oct. 30 was cancelled due to COVID-19.
This also meant the cancellation of senior night.
Monday, Nov. 16, the CHS football seniors, cheerleader seniors, dance team seniors and band seniors will get their opportunity to celebrate with a senior night celebration at Carden-Jarrell field. The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.). There is no admission charge to attend.

Following the 2nd annual District 8-AAA media
day, the media and coaches have voted on the 2020 preseason 8-AAA All District
teams and the projected order of finish.
In girls basketball the defending 8-AAA regular
season and tournament champion Coffee County Lady Raiders have been selected to
repeat as champions in 2020-21.

Lady Raider senior Bella Vinson and sophomore Jalie Ruehling were selected to the preseason All District team along with Kailyn Farrell of Tullahoma, Amelia Kate Richardson of Lincoln County and Chloe Willis of Lawrence Co.

One Coffee County Central Lady Raider basketball game and one
Red Raider basketball game has been cancelled this week.
The Red Raiders were scheduled to open their season Thursday,
Nov. 19 at home against Knowledge Academy. That game has been cancelled by
Knowledge Academy. Coffee County is working to find a replacement.
Meanwhile, the Lady Raiders will open their season at home
against Siegel on Friday. The Lady Raiders are supposed to turn around and host
Goodpasture on Saturday, Nov. 21, but that game has been cancelled by Goodpasture.
The Lady Raiders are working to find a replacement for that game.

Nearly a decade after picking up his phone to hear Chipper Jones say,

now compare MVP Awards with the Hall of Fame third baseman.
Freeman was named the National League MVP when the balloting results were announced on Thursday night. The 31-year-old first baseman became the first Braves player to win an MVP Award since Jones in 1999.
