Brenda Farrar

Brenda Farrar, 74, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home in Woodbury with her family by her side. She was born in Coffee Co., TN., the daughter of the late Carl and Helen Hickerson Farrar.

She is survived by her children, Brad (Gina) Beaty of Readyville, Beth (Doug) Dudash of Murfreesboro, Deanna (Ryan) Travis of Shelbyville and Kyle (Emily) Stembridge of Bradyville; grandchildren, Rachel Beels, Tristan (Kaitlyn) Solomon, Amaya Solomon, Victoria and Emily Beaty, Braxton Faulkner, Baylee Stembridge; great grandchildren, Haze, Oaklyn, Avanell and Kasen and siblings, Joan (Danny) Vythoulkas of Bradyville, Mark (Vicki) Farrar of Hendersonville, Steve Farrar of Huntsville and Gina (Ray) Prince of Estill Springs.  Several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Farrar.

A member of Woodbury Church of Christ, Brenda was retired from Wal-Mart where she was a sales associate.  She enjoyed working in her flowers, watching sunsets, reading, bird watching and listening to music.  She loved spending time with all her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup and Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Blanton’s Chapel, Coffee Co, TN.

Visitation with her family will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 4 pm until 8 pm.

Carl L. Schnabel

Carl L. Schnabel, 83, of Manchester, passed from
this life on June 8, 2022. Carl was born in Bronx, New York on Nov. 29,
1938, the son of late Esther Grainer and Henry Schnabel. Carl grew up in
New York, where he met his wife Patricia and they started their family. In
1969 they moved to New Jersey. He and his family then moved to Tennessee in
1982 where he would enjoy the rest of his life. Happily retired from the
state of Tennessee, Carl enjoyed gardening, woodworking, canning and
winning blue ribbons at the Coffee County Fair. His hobbies also included
aviation, cooking, boating and fishing. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his mother and father,
Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Richie” Schnabel and
granddaughter Isabella Rosemary Schnabel. He is survived by his loving wife
of 60 years, Patricia Schnabel; brothers Henry Schnabel and Arthur “Artie”
Schnabel (Laura); sisters Carol Ciesielski and Linda Bajnoczy; children
Michael Schnabel (Filipina); Diane Murphy; Janet Young; grandchildren
Caitlyn Murphy, Samantha Fichten (Christopher), Melissa Sadler and Kyle
Murphy; and great-grandson Caden Eley. And many nieces and nephews. A
service will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Central

Donald R. McDaniel

Donald R. McDaniel, of Shelbyville, passed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, at the age of 72. No services are scheduled. 

Mr. McDaniel, a native of Tullahoma, was the son of the late David Edward McDaniel and Christine Carpenter McDaniel. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing the drums. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, being with friends and he never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and James McDaniel and sister, Donna McKinnon.

He is survived by his wife, Tina McDaniel of Shelbyville; sons, David McDaniel (Becca) of Tullahoma, Derrick McDaniel (Cassandra) of Shelbyville and Justin Driver of Shelbyville; daughters, Christy Gordon (Billy) of Shelbyville, Mary Lee of Shelbyville, Kendra Lee of Wartrace and Kimberly Leverette (Kevin); sister, Charlotte Carson (Larry) of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bill W. Byrom

Bill W. Byrom , age 87, of Tullahoma passed away on June 9, 2022 at Lynchburg Nursing Center, where he had been a beloved resident for 8 years. Bill was born January 31, 1935 in Fulks Hollow and was raised in Lynchburg, TN. After completing military service in the US Air Force, he was employed for more than 40 years at AEDC. He was a long-standing member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tullahoma, TN. He was passionate about community service, mental health and supported the Tullahoma Day Care Center. He loved cars and the Tennessee Volunteers. Bill was a friend to anyone he met and was a loving father and devoted husband. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert and Fannie Mae (Cobb) Byrom; brothers, Everett and Hubert; and sisters, Robbie and Audra. He is survived by his wife, Ann Rowland Byrom; two sons, Steven (Simone) and Greg (Abbie); and two grandchildren, Luke and Ella Byrom; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Tullahoma Day Care Center or Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15 th , 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tullahoma from 12:00pm-2:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Alex Hoffner officiating. Herman McCurdy Stidham

Herman McCurdy Stidham of Tullahoma died peacefully at home on June 8, 2022 at the age of 95. Herman was born August 18, 1926 in Cullman County, AL. He was the son of the late George and Exel Stidham. He grew up in the Great Depression, helping on the family farm. Herman graduated from Holly Pond High School, and worked as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps. After his military service, he was employed at Chrysler in Michigan, and General Electric in Anniston, AL. In 1959, Herman moved to Tullahoma to work at AEDC where he was an instrument technician for 33 years. On August 20, 1960 Herman married the love of his life, Judy Stidham, and they established a permanent home in Tullahoma. Herman was a member of Highland Baptist Church for 52 years. He loved the Lord and his church family. During his time there, he served on numerous committees, and was a fixture on Sunday mornings for many years as an usher. Herman had a great love of flying, and a passion to teach others to fly, which led him to become an FAA certified flight instructor, helping his students become successful pilots. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Stidham. Herman is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Judy Stidham; sons, Alan (Jeana) Stidham, and Daryl (Michelle) Stidham; four grandchildren, Alex Stidham, Haley Stidham, Peyton Stidham, and Ty (Caiah) Collier; and one great-grandson Titus Collier. Visitation for Mr. Stidham will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am to 12:00pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jim Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. William Earl Voorhies

Voorhies, William Earl , of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, June 6 th , 2022 at NHC at the age of 96. Mr. Voorhies was born in Bedford, Indiana to the late Harry and Della Thompson Voorhies. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and then went on to work as an Anesthesiologist with Harton Hospital in Tullahoma until his retirement. Mr. Voorhies was a member of the 7 th Day Adventist Church, the American Legion, and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Tirey Voorhies; and three sisters, Della Bropts, Ida Voorhies, and Mary Padgett. Mr. Voorhies is survived by several nieces and nephews, including, Dennis Voorhies, Susan Boolanger, Linda Grow and Becky Giffen. Funeral services will be held at Ferguson- Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, Indiana, followed by burial in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Silverville, Indiana. Terry Dean Warren

A celebration of life for Mr. Terry Dean Warren, age 68 of Hillsboro, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Manchester Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Mr. Warren passed from this life on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN.

Oscar Juarez Cleto

Oscar Juarez Cleto, age 12 years, 6 months, and 29 days, was born on
October 30, 2009, IN Guerrero, Mexico to Reyna Cleto Cleto and the late
Valentin Juarez Valladares. He attended the St. Mark’s Church and was a
student at Westwood Middle School in Manchester. Oscar enjoyed riding his
bike.

In addition to his mother, Reyna, Oscar is survived by his brother, Moises
Juarez Cleto, and sister, Luz Maria Armenta Cleto; maternal grandparents,
Espiridion Cleto Salgado and Bernarda Cleto Diaz; paternal grandparents,
Alberto Juarez Juarez and Enriqueta Valladares Ocampo; several extended
family members and a host of friends.

Funeral services, with mass, will be conducted on Saturday, June 11 at 2 PM
at St. Mark’s Church. Oscar will be laid to rest in Ahuehuetla, Guerrero,
Mexico.

Charles Gilbert Burchfield

Charles Gilbert Burchfield of Tullahoma passed this life on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living at the age of 96. Mr. Burchfield was born in Delano, TN to the late Cecil and Leona Hembree Burchfield. He served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II, later retiring from the Army Reserves at the rank of Major. Mr. Burchfield was also a graduate of both Bob Jones University and Purdue University. After graduating, Mr. Burchfield worked as an engineer at AEDC, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one sister, Fay McSpadden. He is survived by his wife, Delia Chaudron Burchfield; two daughters, Patty Nance (Ken), and Elizabeth Stachowicz (Ed); two sisters, Eva Austin (Elbert), and Anne Long; four grandchildren, Shelly Bossom (Craig), Cherilyn Haines (Damion), Emma McCathran (William), and Rebekah Cothron; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Damon, Wyatt, Jenson, Harrison, and Gracie; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7 th , 2022 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-12:00pm with a memorial service to begin at 12:00pm with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church in Tullahoma with an emphasis on either Children’s Ministry or the Missions Ministry.

William D. Underwood Jr.

Mr. William D. Underwood Jr., age 53, of Beechgrove, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in
Manchester, TN.

Mr. Underwood was born in Murfreesboro, TN, to his late parents William
Underwood Sr. and Lynda Sue Reeves Underwood. He was a steel worker for
most of his life. Mr. Underwood enjoyed nature, fishing and caving. He was
also a handyman, loved fixing everything, and a resilient person. Mr.
Underwood was a great father and grandfather to his family. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Shirley Stephens Underwood
and Starlet Burrow Underwood.

Mr. Underwood is survived by his daughter, Mandie Underwood; fiancé, Wendy
Estill; brother, Jason Edmond Underwood; sisters, Lennae Brown and Leanne
Pippin; grandchildren, Braidyn Cooper and Elijah Cooper; dog, Tank; niece,
nephew, and several extended family.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
