4/15/12 — Helen Northcutt

Ms. Helen Northcutt age 88 of Payne’s Cove went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2012 at Manchester Medical Center.

She was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on March 15, 1924 to Felix and Anna Mae Garner. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Northcutt, brothers; Ralph and Bud Garner, sisters; Mary Ann Long, and Lessie Prince.

Survivors include sisters Jean Oliver of Akron, Ohio; and Florence Chapman of Murfreesboro, TN. 3 sons Steve Northcutt, James (Jimmy) Northcutt, and Bobby Northcutt all of Pelham, TN. 2 daughters Joyce Walker of Tullahoma, TN and Connie Meeks of Hillsboro, TN. 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Northcutt was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Payne’s Cove.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mike Rigsby and Reverend Ronnie Trussell officiating.

Burial will be at Oliver Cemetery in Payne’s Cove.

The family will receive friends Saturday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.

4/16/12 — STACEY LEE FLOYD

Stacey  Lee Floyd, age 40 of Manchester, Tennessee, departed this life on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

He was a CNC Machinist / Tool & Die with Van Rob Volunteer, Inc. in Manchester.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Benjamin Floyd and Daniel Floyd; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Allie Lavena Floyd.

Stacey was the hardest working man who never complained about anything. He made sure his family was always provided for and used any spare time he had for spending with his wife and children. He loved to fish, ride dirt bikes and ride bicycles as a family.

He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Aimee Beth White Floyd of Manchester; parents, Glelon Lee Floyd and Brenda Gail Lockhart Farless; children, Lauren Olivia Floyd of Princeton, Kentucky,   Faith N. Floyd,  Michael I. Floyd and Ava D. Floyd all of Manchester; parents-in-law, Martha and Kyle White; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation with the Floyd family will be on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from  3:00 P.M.   until    7:00 P.M. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday afternoon, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Kelly Lewis officiating. 

Burial will follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made at any U.S. Bank location to contribute to the “Floyd Family Fund”.

4/15/12 — Jimmy Lee Hill

Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Hill, 54, of Winchester, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Watson North Funeral Home in Winchester.

Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hill passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

He was born Sept. 30, 1957, in Florence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Walstein Hill Jr.; brother, Charles Walstein Hill; and daughter, Heather Chase Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Hill; daughter, Lensey Hill Smith and husband Adam of Madison; mother, Nellie Sue Morris and husband Sam of Winchester; brother, George Hill and wife Kathy of Huntsville; sister, Donna and husband Ken of Sumter, S.C.; aunt, Oleda McCafferty of Florence; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Hill was an avid outdoorsman and loved to bird hunt and fish. He loved to train bird dogs and spent many fall seasons in the fields with his faithful dog, Ollie. He also loved trips to the beach, gardening, concerts, spending time with loved ones and Auburn football.
Jimmy was also an expert home builder, master craftsman and a 30-year employee at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma. While employed there, he made many lifelong friends who became as close as family members.

He was a practical joker with a wonderful sense of humor and unfailingly generous to those he loved and to those who loved him.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2pm from the Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Watson-North Memorial Park with Michael Tucker, Buford Wilson, Ray Underwood, Ricky Arnold, Greg Houston and Gary Trail serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Arnold Air Force Base.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 4-7 at Watson-North Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude�s Children�s Research Hospital.

4/14/12 — Lee Morris Earp

Lee Morris Earp, age 80 of Winchester, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at  Golden Living Center Mountainview. 

He was the son of the late Marvin Earp and Lillian Johnson Earp. 

He was a retired supervisor for Martin Marietta in  Orlando, FL. Mr. Earp, a huge Nascar fan and prankster, also enjoyed fishing, RVing with his wife and spending time at the Winchester airport with his flying  buddies. 

 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marie Denney Earp of Winchester; brothers-in-law, Don Denney of Carrollton, GA and Roy Denney of St. Augustine,FL; sisters-in-law, Betty Pinnell of Winchester and Helen (Charles) Blevins of Winchester; nieces and nephews, LeAnn Zimmerman and Troy Blevins of Winchester, Spencer Denney and Stephanie Kramer of Florida; great nieces and nephews, Denney Zimmerman of Maryville,TN, Julia Zimmerman of Cleveland, TN, Tyler Denney and Carson Kramer of Florida; and cousin, Sue Penny of North Carolina. 

Visitation will be 12-2 PM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Moore-Cortner
Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Rudy Wilkinson
officiating. 

Interment at Mt. Garner Cemetery.

April 17th, 1922 ~  January  8th  2012

 

 Longtime resident of Manchester and wife of the late attorney Horace James Garrett, Dorothy passed away peacefully January 8th, 2012 surrounded by the loving embrace of her family.

Her cremated remains will be interred Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, following a 10:00 A.M. Memorial Service at First Presbyterian Church in Manchester.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank all the friends and extended family for their  support and condolences. She blessed our lives with an abundance of tenderness, devotion, and unconditional love. All these gifts so freely given will be missed.

4/14/12 — Ethel Mae Caldwell Arnold

Mrs. Ethel Mae Caldwell Arnold 97 of Tullahoma died Thursday, April 12th, at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma. She was a native of Bedford County; a Homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church of Tullahoma.She was the daughter of the late Everett Caldwell and Mable Moore Caldwell Reed and the wife of the late William M. Arnold.She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Womble Crumley of Tullahoma; Granddaughter, Pam (Richard) Shasteen of Normandy and Great Grandson, Jackson Shasteen of Normandy.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 14th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Revs. Tim McGehee and Gary Irvin officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

4/14/12 — Peggy Ann Foutch

Peggy Ann Foutch – Morrison, TN resident and White County, TN native.

 Peggy Ann Foutch, age 75, was born August 27, 1936 and died April 11, 2012 at her residence following a two-year illness. 

A self-employed nursery worker and member of the Trinity Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gladys Jordan Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Earl Smith, Jr. 

She was married July 19, 1996 to George Knauer, Jr. of Morrison, TN. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Ricky Foutch, Janice Kennamer and Danny and Kim Foutch all of McMinnville;  grandchildren, Shaye Ashford, Derek Kennamer and fiancée Jill Moore and Lucas Foutch and fiancée Brandi Myers all of McMinnville and Sonya White of Tullahoma, TN;  step-children, George Knauer, III of Maryville, TN and Chasity King of Hillham, TN;  great-grandchild, Briley;  step-grandchildren, J.T. and Autumn and special friends, Dale and Shelly Griffith of Rock Island, TN. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 in High’s Chapel with Scott Parkinson officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Shellsford Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High’s Funeral Home.

4/13/12 — Molly Mae Hankins

Surrounded by family, in her father’s arms with her mother by her side, Molly Mae Hankins went to Heaven the morning of April 11th, 2012.

Though her time here was little, her impact was not. The strength Molly displayed was a testament to many as she captured their hearts with her bright blue eyes and sweet smile. Those qualities along with her gentle disposition are the memories her parents and family will always hold dear.

Molly was born on December 16th, 2011 to mother Ivy Hankins and father Daryl Hankins.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings McKenna and Mason; maternal grandparents Frankie and Debbie Rutledge; paternal grandparents Lisa Hammers and Vaughn and Rebecca Hankins; great grandparents Elinor Cunningham, Daryl Hammers, and Fred and Jessie Hankins; aunts and uncles Brandy and Matthew Lendley, Hilary and Brandon Greco and Tyler Deaton; first cousins Justin, Isabella, Isaiah, Julianna, and Jessie Lendley; great aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by great grandparents Billy and Liz Rutledge, Charlie Cunningham, and Charlotte Hammers.

Visitation for Molly will be held on Friday, April 13th 2012 from 5:00-9:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be private for family only.

4/14/12 — Janet M. Henley Clark

Janet M. Henley Clark, age 58 of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away on April 6, 2012.

She was a Commercial Driver for Auto Zone in Tullahoma and a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN.

She was born on December 2, 1953 in Chicago, IL to her parents, the late Luther E. Henley and Virginia P. Wilson Henley Parker of Tullahoma who survives. She was preceded in death by her children, Joanne Galkowski and Brian Galkowski.

Janet will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother and “Nana” who would do anything in her power for her children and grandchildren. A very strong willed and positive thinking woman who never complained about anything. Everyone who came into contact with her loved being around her. She enjoyed and raced cars at the Chicago Motor Speedway and was a member of the  Fiat Club and Goldwing Motorcycle Club.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, April D. Allbert, Brian D. Clark and Victoria R. Clark all of Tullahoma, TN; father, William F. Parker, Jr. of Tullahoma; sister, Patsy A. Henley of Madison, AL; brother, James C. Henley of Manchester, TN; three grandchildren, Aleina Clark, Michael Allbert and Xander Clark; her ex-husband, R.J. Clark, who was still her best friend; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday evening, April 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. –
8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN.

4/13/12 — Carmen Bethea Ingrum Martin

Carmen Bethea Ingrum Martin, age 88 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on April 10, 2012 at the Medical Center of Manchester.

She was a retired Retail Cashier at Powers Market in Manchester, a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was born on November 24, 1923 in Nashville, TN to her parents, the late Jonas Marion Ingrum and Mary O’Dell Ingrum. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Adam Dalton Eaton and second husband, Paul H. Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances B. Travis of Manchester, TN; step-son, Paul T. Martin and his wife Joyce; brother, Jay Ingrum and his wife Brenda; two grandchildren, Barry Dean Travis and Darla Travis both of Manchester; two step-grandchildren, Philip Hall and Patrick Hall; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Dalton Travis and Lacy Maxwell;and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening, April 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday morning, April 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Charles Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fredonia Cemetery.
