8/29/12 — Ronnie Coleman Shockley

Ronnie Coleman Shockley, age 62 of  Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on August 24, 2012. Mr. Shockley was a United  States Marine Veteran.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda M. Grosch of  Hillsboro, TN and Michael S. Shockley of Hillsboro, TN; six grandchildren,  Burton “Tyler” Lawson, Jaycob Coleman Lawson, Gage Shockley, Daylen Conner  Grosch, Mikaylee Lynn Shockley and Kayden Rilee Grosch; and a host of other  relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 5:00  p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be  conducted on Wednesday morning, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roberts  Cemetery in Bedford County, TN with Brother Joe Roberts officiating and Military  Honors.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be sent to the Disabled  American Veterans, P.O.Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45290-0301.

8/27/12 — Patricia Elaine Sanders

Patricia Elaine Sanders, age 60 of  Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on August 24, 2012 at the Centennial Medical  Center in Nashville.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Coffee County, TN to her  parents, the late George W. Forsythe and Gladys L. Bean Forsythe.
She is  survived by her loving husband, Howard Lewis Sanders of Manchester, TN;  daughter, Pamela E. Winton and her husband Randy of Manchester, TN; sister,  Peggy S. Holt of Hillsboro, TN; two grandchildren, Mikenzie Champion and Ryan  Winton both of Manchester, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends. 
Visitation will be on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. . 
The Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday following the visitation at 1:00  p.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Ralph Hart  officiating.
Burial will be at the Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery.

8/27/12 — Christopher Charles Brandon Pack

Christopher Charles Brandon Pack, age 36 of  Manchester, Tennessee, died on August 25, 2012 from injuries sustained in an  automobile accident.
He was employed by Gaylord Entertainment at the Wild Horse  Saloon in Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,  Robert and Louise Pack and maternal grandparents, Taylor and Sarah Jones.
His  smile and outgoing personality will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He  is survived by his parents, Charles L. Pack and Rosie L. Jones Pack of  Manchester, TN; brothers, Ricky L. Pack (Patty) of Lafayette, LA and Ronnie L.  Pack (Andrea) of Pearlington, MS;
nieces and nephews, Brandy (Josh) Graiff, Ben  (Adriana) Pack, Dakota (Kandi) Pack, Shawn Pack, Summer Pack and Taylor Ray  Pack; six great-nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a  host of “close knit”friends.
Visitation was on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 5:00  p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, August 27,  2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Pastor Leon  Williams and Reverend Tim Bender officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rose  Hill Memorial Gardens.

8/28/12 — Gloria Ann Vaughan

GLORIA ANN VAUGHAN, age 54, of Winchester, Tenn. departed this life suddenly on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester following a brief illness.

Ms. Vaughan was born in Gary, Indiana.  She was last employed as a bartender.  Ms. Vaughan was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed sewing and made many quilts for her family.  She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, James (Bonnie) Jordan of Marion, NC, mother, Victoria Vaughan, brothers, James (Tammy) Vaughan all of Winchester, John (Robin) Vaughan of Indiana, sisters; Molly Milchek and Jean Baugus of Winchester, grandchildren; Shae, Jonathan, Suzanna, and Jocelyn Jordan.

Visitation for Ms. Vaughan will be from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 28, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Services beginning at 6:00.  Bro. Howard Riddle will officiate.

It was Ms. Vaughan’s request that she be cremated.

8/28/12 — Rodney “Rod” H. Ballard

 Rodney “Rod” H. Ballard
Rodney “Rod”  Howard Ballard, age 67 of Hillsboro, TN, passed away on August 24, 2012 at the Middle TN  Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN after a brief illness.
Rod was the Assitant  Fire Chief of the City of Manchester Fire & Rescue Department and was a  Certified Journeyman Firefighter and Arson Investigator. He was an avid   hunter, fisherman and firearms enthusiast, a member of the NRA and  the Single Action Shooters Society. Rod had a passion for bluegrass and country  music and played the guitar. He will be fondly remembered as one who devoted his  life to his beloved wife and family and to the service of helping others. Rod’s  love for music and playing the guitar touched numerous lives and brought joy to  all who knew him. Rod welcomed and loved all the young people his children  brought into his home. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Rod was  a member of the Cumberland Academy Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by  his first wife and mother of his children, Lissa Marie Ballard; parents, William  Howard Ballard and Lois Lee Burger Ballard; brothers, William Ollie Ballard and  Ronald Louis Ballard; and sister, Carolyn Juanita Brassfield.
He is survived by  his loving wife, Bonnie Louise Crosslin Ballard of Hillsboro, TN; children, Brad  Ballard of Murfreesboro,  Elizabeth Carter (Matt), Gina Sain (Trey),  Jeffrey Ballard (Amanda), Adam Ballard (Melissa) and William Ballard  (Mandy) all of Manchester; sister, Delores Hastings of  Tullahoma;sixteen grandchildren, Danielle Lemacks, Shelby Ballard, Lyndsey  Franklin, Samantha Ballard, Connor Ballard, Jared Johnson, Samuel Sain, Christin  Ballard, Jordon Ballard, Allison Ballard, Brandon Trussell, Shelby Trussell,  Christopher Ballard, Cameron Ballard, Emma Ballard and Alissa Renee who is “on  her way”; five great-grandchildren, Raycen, Emmerald, Chasae, Lilly and Landen;  beloved friends, Dennis & Roger Taylor, the family of Grover & Linda  Crosslin, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; the Brotherhood of FireFighters  at the Manchester Fire & Rescue; and countless others who called him “Pa  Rod”.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00  p.m.
The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 2:00  p.m. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brother Dale Woods, Weldon  Payne and Mark Reed officiating.
Burial will follow at the Manchester City  Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be  made to the Manchester Fire & Rescue Department “Firemans Fund”.

8/27/12 — Bobbie Hedgecoth

Bobbie Hedgecoth, age 25, of Manchester, Tenn., departed this life on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Nashville, Tenn.  Ms. Hedgecoth  was a homemaker.  She was a true animal lover but most of all She was a loving and devoted, daughter, sister and mother.

She is survived by her parents; Nita and David Hedgecoth, daughters, Hailey and Mackenzie Hedgecoth  Sisters; Karen Hedgecoth all of Manchester and Gabrielle (Jimmy) George of Tullahoma.

Visitation for Ms. Hedgecoth is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. until  service time at 1:00. Monday, August 27, 2012, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Sellers Crain, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in the Morrison Cemetery in Morrison, Tenn.

8/27/12 — Billy W. Hanley, Sr.

Mr. Billy W. Hanley Sr., age 67, of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday at Harton Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Tullahoma and was retired from Tennessee Tanning.

He is survived by three sons, Billy W. Hanley Jr. and his wife Katherine of Tullahoma, Paul W. Hanley of Tullahoma, and Jimmy Hanley and his wife Jennie of Nashville.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Memorial Services will be conducted Monday at 6:00PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.

8/27/12 — Jack Daniel Prosser

Graveside services for Mr. Jack Daniel Prosser, age 72, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 11:00am, Monday, August 27, at Maplewood Cemetery with burial to follow.

Visitation with the Prosser family will be from 2pm until 4pm, Sunday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mr. Prosser passed this life on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Prosser was retired from Stanley Tool Company and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Lucy Prosser, 2 brothers, Huey Prosser, Jr., and Woodrow Prosser and by 1 sister, Margaret Thurston.

8/26/12 — Alma Lois Clark

Alma Lois Clark, age 88 of Winchester, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Southern TN Medical Center.

She operated A. B. Clark grocery store as well as worked at Russell’s Dept Store and Blue Front Drug Store. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Farris Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery Claudie Miller and Ella Mae Lance Miller; husband, Albert Denoy Clark; daughter, Jean Clark McIver; sisters, Nina Mae West, Mary D. Tomlinson and Ruby Johnston; and brother, Avery Miller.

Survivors include her son, Coyle O. (Brenda) Clark of Winchester; grandchildren, Kristy McIver Gant, Kelly Clark McIver, Beth Clark Rhoton and Laura Clark Roberson; great grandchildren, Austin and Chandler Gant, Tyler, Maddie, Chase and Sam Rhoton and Avery McIver; special nephew, Jimmy West; son-in-law, Thomas McIver; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Princess Sample, Elizabeth Sherman, Betty Mae Martin, Ann Dickson, Patsy Hill and Ann Guess.

Visitation is 5-8 PM Saturday.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Jeromy Taylor officiating.

8/26/12 — Woodrow Wilson Smith, Jr.

Woodrow Wilson Smith, Jr. age 54 of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2012 at Life Care Center.

He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Smith, Sr. and Cara Louise Smith.

Survivors include his son, Christopher Smith of Murfreesboro; daughter, Tammy Marie Smith of Murfreesboro; brother, Billy Joe Taylor of Tullahoma; sisters, Cara Sue Brady, Josephine Phelps and Kathylene Sons, all of Tullahoma; and grandson, Seth Tyler Smith.

Visitation is 5-8 PM Saturday.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with interment at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
