10/1/12 —- Mildred B. Cloninger

Mrs. Mildred B. Cloninger, age 90, formerly of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday Morning at Lincoln Medical Center.

A native of Pikeville, she was the daughter of the late Homer Byron and Hettie Bell Allison Boyd. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Milton Cloninger, her son; John Michael Cloninger, five brothers; R.L. Boyd, Harold Donald Boyd, David Cash Boyd, Homer Byron Boyd, Jr., and John Lucas Boyd, and one sister, Margret Murray.

She is survived by two sisters; Dolores Brinkley-Smith of Winchester, and Betty Walls-Daughrity of Chapel Hill, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 11:00AM until 1:30PM.

The funeral procession will leave Tullahoma Funeral Home at 1:30PM for graveside services at 2:00PM at Bomar Cemetery in the Raus Community with Father Stephen Klasek officiating.

9/29/12 — Daniel Patrick Linder

Mr. Daniel Patrick Linder age 56 of Altamont, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at his daughter’s home in Morrison.

Daniel had worked as a police officer in Crystal Lake, IL and Casa Grande, AZ before coming to Tennessee where he worked at Batesville Casket Company in Manchester.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Linder; sister, Theresa Linder; brother, Glen Linder.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Flynn Linder of Altamont, daughter, Jessica Linder and granddaughter, Danielle Bowen of Morrison; mother, Patricia Linder, Crystal Lake, IL; brother, David (Cindy) Linder of Crystal Lake; mother-in-law, Willie Flynn; brother-in-law, Tim Flynn; nieces and nephews, Amy, Kelly, Mike, Jason, Heather and Devin.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the funeral home from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM .

Other services will be private.

10/1/12 — Linda Harper

Linda Harper age 66 of Lynchburg passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at her residence.

A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of Albert Roberson and Maude McPeak Roberson and a member of the First Baptist Church in Winchester and attented Brandons Chapel Church in Lynchburg. She was a retired teacher at Moore County High School.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 5-8 P.M at the Lynchburg Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel  with Bro, Cameron Ray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, John Doug Harper of Lynchburg, daughter and son-in-law Holly and Brian Hardison, son and daughter -in-law Troy and Betty Harper all of Lynchburg. Grandson, Drew Hardison, granddaughters; Taylor, Haley and Macy Harper. Brother, Donald Roberson of Birmingham, Al and several nieces and nephews.

9/30/12 — Janice Sue Golden

Janice Sue Golden, age 50 of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her residence.

A native of Lincoln County she was a daughter of Frankie Golden and Clara Mae Reese Golden of Lynchburg who survive.

She was a Finance Director with the Moore County Board of Education and a member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. at Lynchburg Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Myers and Bro. Mickey Winters officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Cemetery.

Janice is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Golden and his wife Anita, nephew, Bradly Golden, niece; Mandie Harris and her husband Derek, grand niece, Layla Harris, cousin; Trevor Smith all of Lynchburg and several aunts,uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Frank and Ruby Reese and  Carnice and Flossie Mae Golden.

10/1/12 — Harold L. Cody

Harold L. Cody, age 83 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on September 28, 2012.
 
Mr. Cody was a retired Electrical Engineer with Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tullahoma. He served on the Manchester City School Board, the Manchester Water Commission and was a member of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. He also coached numerous girls and womens softball teams through the years.
 
He was born in Sneedville, Tennessee to his parents, the late James Cody and Edna Ramsey Cody. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Cody and brother, James Cody.
 
Mr. Cody is survived by his daughters, Debbie A. McGowan and her husband Buck of Panama City, Florida  and Colette M. Hobbs and her husband Joey of Manchester, TN; sisters, Frances Goodwin of Indiana, Joy Fuehrer of Georgia and Betty Campbell of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Harold “Chip” McGowan (Kathi) of Panama City, FL,  Michele Head (Jeremy) of Carrollton, GA,   Brent Hobbs of Manchester, TN  and Brittany Hodge (Courtland) of Vilseck, Germany; the “McDonald’s Morning Coffee Club” and a host of friends.
 
A special thanks to Janie and Hannah who were there for him over the years.
 
Visitation will be on Monday evening, October 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.  until 8:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home.
 
A private entombment will be at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mrs. Pearl E. Buchanan age 83, passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center.

A native of Lincoln County she was a daughter of the late Rand Owens and Addie Buchanan.

She was a Homemaker and a  member of St. John AME Church. Mrs. Buchanan loved flowers and gardening.

Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday September 29, 2012 with funeral services to begin at 12 noon with Bro, Robert Bailey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mulberry Cemetery.

Mrs. Buchanan is survived by  her daughter; Sharon Buchanan of Mulberry, granddaughter, Alisha Buchanan and grandson, Edward Joe Henderson both of Mulberry. Sisters; Belle Sebastian and Dorothy Carmichael both of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sister and three brothers.

9/30/12 — Earl Chisam

Mr. Earl D. Chisam, age 81, of Tullahoma, passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. A native of Rock Island, Tn, he is the son of the late Roy Lee and Virgie Lee Kelly Chisam. He was employed by MCA Sign Company in Manchester for 33 years, a brave Army Veteran, having served his country in the Korean War, and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister, Jean Chisam Lawson, three brothers, Walter Lee, Clyde, and Earnest Chisam, all of Tullahoma, and one Great-Granddaughter. In addition to his family, he loved fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Minnie Guinn Chisam of Tullahoma, three daughters Charline Chisam, Melissa Woods and Denise Harmon, all of Tullahoma, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will Saturday, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Tullahoma Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Elbert Smith officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Concord Cemetery.

10/01/12 — Billy Clark

Billy Glen Clark, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, September 28th, 2012 at The Willows at Winchester Care and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 48. Mr. Clark was born in Tunica, MS to the late James R. Clark Sr. and Wanda Duvall Clark who survives. During his life, he worked as a Patrol officer for the Tullahoma City Police Department, and was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma and was a Trustee for the Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to his mother, Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Yolanda Cunningham Clark; two daughters, Mallory Clark of Austin, TX and Brylee Clark of Tullahoma; two sons, Robert Clark of Austin, TX and Brenden Clark of Tullahoma; one brother, James Clark Jr. of New Albany, MS; and one sister, Tracy Demos of Galloway, N.J. Visitation for Mr. Clark will be held on Sunday, September 30th, 2012 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 1st, 2012 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church with Dr. J. Herbert Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Manchester, TN.

9/29/12 — James R. Tegarden

James R. Tegarden age 84, of Winchester, formerly of Nashville, passed away September 27, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Tegarden was a WWII and Korean Conflict veteran. He was an avid fan of Vandy football, basketball, and any other sport played at Vanderbilt University.  Mr. Tegarden enjoyed spending time in the outdoors golfing, hunting, fishing and bird watching. He spent time with his family traveling and especially loved Savannah, Hilton Head, St. Augustine and Cook Island.  He loved learning and teaching others about genealogy, astrology, gemology and history. In his spare time he enjoyed playing harmonica and guitar.

Mr. Tegarden is preceded in death by his parents, L. Max and Allene Duffer Tegarden.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Massey Tegarden of Winchester; children, Linda (William) Harper of Old Hickory, TN, Terry (Gary) O’Connor of Coral Springs, FL, Carol (Donnie) Gray of Franklin, TN and Tom (Sharon) Tegarden of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Colin, Angie, Scott, Katie, Nikki, Chris, Brooke, Lacy, Taylor and Max; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica, Emilee, Bryce, Rufus and Taryn; brother, Fred (Catherine) Tegarden of Cincinnati, OH; lifelong four legged companions, Stonewall, Sophie, Sadie and Samson.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2pm from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Green Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5-8pm and one hour prior to service at Watson-North Funeral Home.
