10/23/12 — Betty Joyce Dudley

Betty Joyce Dudley, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, October 21st, 2012 at her residence at the age of 59.

Ms. Dudley was born in Coffee County, Tennessee to the late Walter and Joe Ruth Perry. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Steven Arnold in 2009.

Ms. Dudley is survived by one son, Michael Dudley; two sisters, Patsy Holt and Linda Perry, all of Tullahoma.

Visitation for Ms. Dudley will be held Monday, October 22nd, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Ashley officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

10/23/12 — Johnny Floyd Pugh

Funeral services for Johnny Floyd Pugh, age 59, of Decherd will be conducted Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Leon Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Pugh passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Johnny was born January 1, 1953 in Winchester, TN the son of the late John Earl Pugh and Barbara Jean Finney Pugh Rendina. He attended Coffee County Central High School where he graduated in 1971 and then attended Middle Tennessee State University. Johnny was employed as a truck driver for several years for Gilley Farms. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and several other hobbies. He was a member of Elk River Baptist Church in Decherd, TN.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Pugh Swanson and husband, Eric of Manchester ; half sister, Corrine Randolph Bauer of Mentor, Ohio; step-mother, Bernice Bruce Pugh of Manchester; two nephews, Dr. Leif Swanson and wife, Charla of Manchester; Patrick  John Swanson of Knoxville, TN; and a niece, Erica Swanson Fulks and husband, Donnie of Tullahoma; and former spouse, Kathy Pugh of Manchester, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Elk River Baptist Church, c/o Johnny L. Seals, P.O. Box 237, Estill Springs, TN 37330

10/20/12 — Joyce Dorothy Lilly

Joyce Dorothy Lilly, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 70.

Mrs. Lilly was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Ray and Ella G. Redd Teal.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Lilly of Tullahoma; two daughters, Lory Topper and her husband Greg of Yuma, AZ and Tina Marzana of Belford, NJ; four grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Desrie and Tiffany; and one great grandchild, Dereke.

Mrs. Lilly’s family will be having a graveside memorial service which will be announced at a later date.

10/23/12 — Larry James Hilmoe

Larry  James Hilmoe, age  71 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on October 20, 2012.

He was retired  from Human Resources with the Batesville Casket Company in Manchester, a  Professional Horse Breeder and Past President of the Tennessee Horse Council. He  was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to his parents, the late Delos Edward Hilmoe  and Lucille Eleanor Finley Hilmoe and also preceded in death by his son, Eric  Brian Hilmoe.

Mr. Hilmoe loved his family, friends  and enjoyed horses and  antique cars.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Candace Keyes Hilmoe of  Manchester; son, Chris Hilmoe of Muskeso, Wisconsin; sister, Donna Baumgartner;  brother, Ross Hilmoe, four grandchildren, Kate Pitsenberger, Andrew  Pitsenberger, Charlie Pitsenberger and Jonas Baugh; and a host of friends. 

Visitation will be on Monday evening, October 22, 2012 from 5:00  p.m.   until   7:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home.

A  Graveside Service for the family will be on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the  Forest Mill Cemetery in Manchester.

10/19/12 — Vivian Francis Canada

Ms. Vivian Francis Canada, was born in Bunker Hill, IL on June 8, 1916, to the late Charles Hauversburk and Margaret Hans Hauversburk.

She departed this life on October 8, 2012 in Manchester, TN at the age of 96 years, 4months, 6 days.

Ms. Canada was a homemaker and attended the Blanton United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters, all from IL.

Ms. Canada is survived by her daughter, Beverly McKenzie of Manchester, step-son John W. (Patti) Canada,II; grandchildren-Deborah Sykes of DeLray Beach, FL; Edward (Rhonda) McKenzie and Steven McKenzie of Manchester; Kevin (Angel) Garner and LaDonna (Todd) McClanahan of Springfield, IL., John,III, Kenneth and Sherri Canada; Great grandchildren- Kyle Sykes, Megan, Clovis, Billie and Steven McKenzie, Donnie and Isaac Garner, Jeremy, Amy, and Zachery McClanahan, and Alexandra Canada; and great, great grandchildren Miranda and Isabella.

10/19/12 — Linda Joyce Baker

Mrs. Linda Joyce Baker, age 54, of Tullahoma, Tenn. Departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Baker was a loving, caring, talented mother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and was very creative.  Mrs. Baker attended the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Marion Drew Baker, two sons, Michael Drew Baker, and Joseph Allen Baker , two daughters, Laura Nicole Baker , and Lisa Marie Baker,  two step-sons, Raymond Pierce  , and Billy Pierce , one step-daughter, Kimberly Baker all of Tullahoma, two sisters, Rebecca Gail Snyder, and Donna (Jerry) Taylor both of Alabama, and twenty-four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.  Mrs. Linda J. Baker is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Martha Yates.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Linda J. Baker will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Grant Funeral Services, Estill Springs, Tenn.

10/20/12 — Billy Wade Wilson

Mr. Billy Wade Wilson age 81 of Pelham,Tennessee passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in Saint Thomas Hospital In Nashville. Billy Wade was born Aug. 16, 1931 a son of the late James Wade Wilson and Florence Goodman Wilson and was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Kizar Branch.

He was a U.S. Air Force Korean veteran and was a retired heavy equipment operator and had worked for T.V.A. and the Grundy County Highway Department. He was a member of Felix Grundy Lodge # 284 F & AM, International Operating Engineers and the Veteran of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Wilson; children, James Randall Wilson, Winchester, Ricky Wade (Renee) Wilson, Adairsville, GA, Patsy LaDell (Chad) Houghteling, Columbia, TN; sister, Patsy Ruth (Kenley) Cannon, Estill Springs; grandchildren, Brian (Crystal) Wilson, Wade Wilson, Amber (Whitt) Robbins, Ashley (Drew) Black, Amy (Chris) Lovett, Matthew (Roxy) Branch, Arica Branch, Avery Houghteling, Aaron Houghteling, Zachary Houghteling,; great-grandchildren, James Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Jakin Lovett, Lucas Branch, Levi Branch, Lexi LaDell Black and Ryan Wilson; nephews, Keith and Kenny Cannon.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend De Hennessy and Jack White officiating.

Burial will be in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Pelham with full military honors provide by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Gardens at Poplar Estates, 1310 Rosewood drive, Columbia, TN 38401.The family will receive friends Friday 5-9 P.M. At the funeral home.

10/19/12 —- Glyndon Norman Bobo

Glyndon Norman Bobo, age 97 of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday evening in Harton Regional Medical Center.  A native of Lincoln County and resident of Lynchburg,  Mrs. Bobo was a the daughter of the late Homer L. and Clara Boone Norman.  She was a member of the Lynchburg First United Methodist Church and charter member of Eastern Star.

She  was preceded in death by parents: Homer L. And Clara Boone Norman;  husband: Don D. Bobo; 2 son-in-laws: Roy (Mike) Mason and Don Gray; 1 sister and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Bobo is survived by:

3 sons:  Arvis and (Peggy) Bobo of Lynchburg, Tn, Bob and (Linda) Bobo of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bill and (JoAnn) Bobo of Lynchburg, Tn

3 daughters: Linda and (Sonny) Chester of Hopkinsville, Ky, Donna Mason of Cookeville, Tn, Alice Gray of Lynchburg

12 grandchildren

Funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home with Revs. Ricky Lee and David Adams presiding.

Interment will be in the Lynchburg Cemetery.

10/20/12 — Gertrude Jones Hoover

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Jones Hoover, age 86 of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Neal Glass officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 20, 2012  from 11:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hoover passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma.

Mrs. Hoover was born August 25, 1926 in Centertown, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Vernon and Etta Jones Page. In the 1940’s Mrs. Hoover worked as a phone operator.  On August 6, 1950, she married her husband of 55 years, Herschel White Hoover, who passed away in 2005. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Manchester and the Johnson Hall Sunday School Class.  She was a longtime member of Gideons International.  Mrs. Hoover enjoyed reading, sewing and working at the family store, Hoover’s Jewelry in Manchester.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death two brothers, Everett and Alex Page and four sisters, Margaret Lance, Nerene Thompson, Vada Bost and Alma Holder.

 Mrs. Hoover is survived by one son, Marlin Hoover and his wife, Kim of Tullahoma; two daughters, Sarah Potuk and her husband Tommy of Manchester and Lisa Jennings and her husband, Rick of Burlington, NC; one brother, Arvle Page and his wife Mozelle of McMinnville; one sister, Myrna Pearsall of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Amanda Whedbee and her husband, Mark, Kelli Barnett and her husband, Zach, Marina Jennings and Ryan Jennings and two great grandchildren, Evan Jones and Parker Whedbee.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Gideons International, P. O Box 1222, Manchester, TN.  37355 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 201 West Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN. 37388.

10/17/12 — Mary Catherine Baker

Mary Catherine Baker, age 68, of  Tullahoma, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at United Regional  Medical Center in Manchester. 

Services and burial will be held at a later date in Tipton,  IN.

Mrs. Baker was born in Nashville, TN,  the daughter of the late Edward and Louella Guffey Moss.  She was a caregiver in the homecare  industry.  She was of the  Pentacostal faith and attended the Mt. Juliet Church of God.  She enjoyed collecting Jesus figurines  and crosses.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker  was also preceded in death by one son, Allen Nicholas J. Binkley.  She is survived by three daughters, Mary  Elizabeth (Clinton) Stumpf of Tipton, IN, Tina Broyles of Manchester, and Janice  Lee (Brandon) Cottles of Tullahoma; seven brothers and three sisters of Indiana  and Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great  grandchildren.
