9/26/15 — Kathryn Ann Abicht

A Memorial Service Visitation for Mrs. Kathryn Ann Abicht, age 74 of Manchester, will be conducted Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Abicht passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Temple, Texas while visiting her son.
She was born October 1, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Fredrick Rudolph Kleb and Anne Smithberger Kleb.

In earlier years, she was employed as a secretary for Mahone Tire Company in Ohio. She always enjoyed outdoor activities as well as reading. She enjoyed listening to music, especially anything by Elvis, as she was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She has resided in Manchester, TN the past 15 years, where she will be deeply missed by her Kingwood Arms family.

Mrs. Abicht is survived by four children, William Thomas “Bill” Vandegrift and wife, Irene of Copperas Cove, TX; Michael Vandegrift of Charleston, WV; Theresa Ann Sheppard and husband, Paul of Manchester, TN and Sandra Lynn Berlin of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Young and husband Larry of Marietta, OH.

9/19/15 — HOBART R. WIMMER

HOBART R. WIMMER, age 75, of Sewanee, Tenn., departed this life Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems Sewanee.

Mr. Wimmer was born on May 17, 1950, in Blue Island, IL to the late John and Goldie Mann Wimmer.

Mr. Wimmer is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Wimmer of Sewanee, Tenn., son, Richard Wimmer of Sauk Village, IL, daughters; Pam, Laura, and Tammy flower 13Wimmer all of IL, stepdaughter, Lori Krutchmer and her husband, Chris of Winchester, Tenn., brother, Wayne Wimmer of Sewanee, Tenn.

It was Mr. Wimmer’s wishes to be cremated with no services scheduled.

5/18/15 — Maudest Lapett Rodell

Maudest Lapett Rodell, age 92 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away, Friday, September 18, 2015 at her residence.

Private family services will be held.

Ms. Rodell, a native of Uniontown, PA was the daughter of the late Frank Otto and Carrie Medora Grogan Rodell. She had worked as a Supervisor for the state of Tennessee. She enjoyed sewing and was a good mother. She worked hard all her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Muncey and two daughters, Gloria Murphy and Sue Davis.

She is survived by one son, Douglas Muncey and his wife, Darlene of Texas; one daughter, Nancy Mayfield of McMinnville; grandchildren, Deannia Murphy of Clarkrange, TN, Jennifer Hall and her husband, Donovan of Erin, TN, Daniel funeral flower2Muncey and Jason Franklin, both of McMinnville; great grandchildren, Brandon Blake of Clarkrange, TN and Jason Franklin and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

9/22/15 —- FRANCES MAY CROWE

FRANCES MAY CROWE, age 62, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life Saturday, September 19, 2015, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Crowe was born on March 14, 1953 in Shelbyville, Tenn., to the late Prince Earl and Katherine Robinson Morris.

She attended End Time Mission Church in Estill Springs, Tenn., Mrs. Crowe was a great cook and loved to talk on the phone and go to yard sales. Most of all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Morris Wells, brothers; Oliver and Charles Morris.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James Robert Crowe of Estill Springs, Tenn., son, Mark Crowe and his wife, Missy of Huntland, Tenn., daughter, Michelle Howard of Estill Springs, Tenn., step-son, Robert Nathan Pratt of Winchester, Tenn., grandsons; Shane Meeks of Lynchburg, Tenn., Casey Crowe, Jacob Crowe both of Huntland, Austin Howard of Estill Springs, great-granddaughters; Reighlee and Juliette Meeks, brothers; Hubert Morris and Robert Lee Morris both of Tullahoma and sisters; Joyce Hill of Shelbyville and Faye Shannon of Manchester.flower 18

Visitation for Mrs. Crowe will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday evening in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Bro. Jim Hawkins, officiating.

Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Winchester.

9/20/15 — Clatie Bernice Frazier

flower 11Funeral services for Mrs. Clatie Bernice Frazier, age 96, of Normandy, will
be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM
until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Frazier passed
away Thursday evening at her son’s residence in Tullahoma.

Clatie was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Alton and
Janie Stacy Duke. She was a machine operator for PCA in Manchester. She
was a member of Beechgrove First Baptist Church and enjoyed camping,
cooking, gardening, and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Clatie was also preceded in death by her loving
husband, Howard Frazier; one child, Arlin Gene Frazier; brothers, Cleve,
Clayburn, Howard, Clifford, and Robbie Duke; sisters, Thelma Farless, Mae
Thompson, and Alvaree Duke; and one grandchild, Greg Frazier. She is
survived by four children, Donald (Linda) Frazier of Tullahoma, Connell
(Joyce) Frazier of the Fredonia Community, Evelyn (Harry) Shelton of the
Blanton Chapel Community, and Joyce (Abe) Branch of Tullahoma; one brother,
Jessie Lee Duke of Murfreesboro; one sister, Lodeen Tully of Murfreesboro;
ten grandchildren, Mark (Cheryl) Frazier, Marcie Myers, Shane (Courtney)
Frazier, Glenn (Becky) Shelton, Michelle (Jeff) Burks, Gayle Qualls, Glenda
(Rodney) Hawkersmith, Stacie (Kevin) Andersen; Kendall Frazier, and Misty

flower 22Ronald David King, age 47 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. Bob King officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until the service time.
Mr. King, a native of Norton, VA was the son Ralph King of Manchester and the late Dorothy Horner King. He was raised in Anderson, IN and graduated from Highland High School. He was a U S Army veteran. Mr. King was a people person and he loved to interact on Facebook. He also loved to ride his Harley.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica King.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Jonathon King of Middletown, OH and one brother, Bob King and his wife, Brandi of Manchester.

flower 7Simmons, Roger Dale, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday,
September 20th, 2015 at his residence at the age of 66. Mr. Simmons was
born in Indiana to the late Benjamin and Mary Hudson Simmons. During his
life he worked as a Machine Operator at Worth Sports and was of the
Baptist faith. He loved baseball, the Oakland Raiders, the Florida State
Seminoles, and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. In addition to his
parents, Mr. Simmons is preceded in death by one daughter, Caroline Lynn
Simmons; one brother, David Ray Simmons; and two sisters, Nancy A.
Simmons and Anna Mae Simmons. He is survived by one son, Jimmy Simmons of
Shelbyville; one sister, Gloria Marie Kraft of Winchester; one brother,
Benjamin J. Simmons of Tullahoma; one grandson, Logan Simmons of Pelham;
three nieces, Diane Dorsett and her husband Thomas of Tullahoma,
Stephanie Goodey of South Carolina and Brittany Simmons of Manchester;
two nephews, David Christopher Simmons of Ohio and David Emory Simmons of
Manchester; four great-nieces, Amanda Coker and her husband Nathan of
Tullahoma, Samantha Dorsett of Manchester, Brooke Simmons of Manchester
and Cailey Kidd of Manchester; and one great-nephew, Wyatt Dorsett of
Tullahoma. Visitation for Mr. Simmons will be held on Sunday, September
20th, 2015 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00pm with the funeral to
immediately follow at 3:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor Jason Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens.

9/19/15 — Ruby Sue Hamby

conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in
Campbell Cemetery in Franklin County. Visitation with the family will be
from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs.
Hamby passed away Wednesday evening at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN.

Ruby was born in Franklin County, TN, the daughter of the late William and
Gracie Myrtle Dickerson Campbell. She was a nurse in the healthcare
industry. She loved gardening, flowers, cooking, and anything to do with
the outdoors.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was also preceded in death by her husband,
Carl Hamby, who passed away in 1992; three children, Brenda Hamby, Darlene
Stoner, and Donnie Hamby; and two brothers, Junior and Johnny Campbell.
Ruby is survived by four children, Sharon (David) Thomas, Bobby Hamby, Gary
Hamby, and Scotty (Debbie) Hamby, all of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and
five great grandchildren.

flower aMrs. Joyce H. McCullough, age 80 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her husband Joe C. McCullough, and parents, Hershel Bean and Mattie Jane Duggin Tenpenny.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo Helen Diehl and husband David of Manchester, Tennessee, Kreta McCullough of Manchester, Tennessee, one son, Gary “Butch” McCullough and wife Dede of Manchester, Tennessee, two sisters, Pat Reid and husband Randall of Woodbury, Tennessee, Judy Loy of Woodbury, Tennessee, one brother, Elmus Tenpenny and wife Sue of Woodbury, Tennessee, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. McCullough was a member of the First Baptist Church of Beechgrove in Beechgrove, Tennessee. She was an avid quilter, a bluegrass musician and loved her family. She and her late husband traveled the bluegrass circuit around the country entertaining family and friends. Her faith and her family were her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce H. McCullough will be conducted on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Tom Brantley officiating. Burial will follow in the Welker Cemetery, Manchester, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee.

Mill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM until 9:00
PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday
morning at his residence, following an extended illness.

Mr. Smith was born in Summitville, TN, the son of the late James L. and
Callie Brooks Smith. He was employed as a service station manager. He was
a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church in McMinnville. Lee loved
boats and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was also preceded in death by four
brothers, James, Franklin, Willie D., and Luke Smith; one sister, Nora
Gilreath. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cathy Horn Smith
of Manchester; three sons, Guy Dustin Smith of Watertown, NY, John Robert
(Lisa) Smith of Manchester, and Shawn A. “Butch” Smith of Georgia; three
daughters, Julia Lynn Smith of Watertown, NY, Kristy Lee (Patrick) Holt and
Theresa Michelle (Eric) Roger, both of Manchester; and nine grandchildren.
