11/25/15 — Ralph L. Brickell

bricknellDr. Ralph L. Brickell, Jr. of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the age of 89. Ralph was born on June 13, 1926 in Knoxville, TN to the late Ralph Sr. and Georgia Geasland Brickell. Raised in Chattanooga, he graduated from Chattanooga City High School in 1944. Upon graduation, he joined the Navy and served on the USS Cabot in the Pacific Theater in the third fleet under Admiral Halsey. After his discharge from the Navy, he went to the University of Chattanooga and then to the University of Tennessee College of Medicine where he received his M.D. degree in 1952. He then served his internship at Crawford W. Long Hospital in Atlanta, GA. After his internship, he established a family medical practice in Tullahoma, TN, where he was in partnership with Dr. Charles B. Harvey for nearly 40 years. He was instrumental in the construction of John Harton Memorial Hospital where he served as its first Chief of Staff. He was a fellow and Diplomate in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Ruth Elder Moses Brickell in 2004 after 53 years of marriage. He is survived by two daughters Betty Walter (Martin) of Knoxville, TN, and Vicki Weinkauf of Forchheim, Germany; one son Ralph L. Brickell III of Tullahoma; and four grandchildren, Martin Walter, Ruth Anne Walter, Alexander Weinkauf and Nicholas Weinkauf.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm Wednesday November 25, 2015 at First United Methodist with a service to follow at 2:00pm with the Rev. Paul Purdue officiating. The interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following

11/24/15 — Ella Mae Northcutt

flower 26Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mae Northcutt, age 85, of Manchester, will
be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Butler officiating. Burial will
follow in Cypress Gardens Cemetery in Manchester. Visitation with the
Northcutt family will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the
funeral home. Mrs. Northcutt passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at
St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Northcutt was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Pat
T. Wooten and Ethel Nevels. She was a retired housekeeper and a member
of Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ella Mae was also preceded in death by her
husband, Henry Northcutt; one sister, Katherine Ward. She is survived by
four sons, Timothy Northcutt of Alaska, Michael and Randy Northcutt, both
of Manchester, and Robert (Wanda) Northcutt of Lewisburg; three
daughters, Sharon and Henrietta Northcutt, both of Manchester, and
Carolyn (Jerry) Davidson of Manchester; one brother, Nathaniel (Janet)
Kennerly of Ohio; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

flower 24Bernice C. Harrell , age 89, passed away on November 20, 2015 at her home
in Manchester, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford
Harrell; parents, Charlie Clark and Maggie Cable Clark. She is survived
by her sister, Iva Lee Morgan of Roan Mountain, Tenn. No public local
services are scheduled. Burial will be at the Roselawn Memorial Park in
Johnson City, Tenn. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.

11/23/15 — Jack Lee and Cash Alan Foster

flower 4Infants Jack Lee and Cash Alan Foster passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Erlanger’s TCT Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga.

Jack and Cash are survived by their parents Chris and Jessica Campbell Foster of Cowan.  Also surviving are maternal grandparents Penny and Greg Ferguson of Winchester and paternal grandfather Jerry Foster of Winchester.  Surviving also is great-grandparents Joe and Larry Rayshell of Murfreesboro.  Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Jack and Cash were preceded in death by Grandmother Louise Foster.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Cowan First Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Brown officiating.  A private committal service will follow at the Garner Cemetery in Cowan.  Visitation will be from 1 – 2 p.m. Monday at Cowan First Baptist Church.

flower 18Janie Lucille Reeves of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, November 20th, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 65. Ms. Reeves was born in Franklin County to the late William Charlie Swift and Lucille Weddington Swift, who survives. She was a graduate of the Tullahoma School of Beauty. In addition to her mother, Ms. Reeves is survived by one son, Bradley Reeves of Tullahoma; one daughter, Brandy Evensen and her husband Craig of Nashville; two brothers, Benny Swift and his wife Jane of Tullahoma and Lewis Swift and his wife Treva of Manchester; and her husband, Doyle Reeves of Tullahoma. Visitation for Ms. Reeves will be held on Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Funeral Home. Entombment services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on
Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Lori
passed this life Friday, November 20, 2015 at her home in Manchester
surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with
cancer.

Lori was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of William Houston “Pat”
Richardson and Shirley Sue Adams Richardson. She was employed as a lab
technician for Dr. Yu and at United Regional Medical Center.

Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents, Phene and Bessie Adams
and John and Margaret Cunningham Richardson; great grandparents, James
and Nancy Easterwood, Lee and Willie Adams, Sam Travis, and Jimmy
Richardson. In addition to her parents, Lori is survived by her loving
husband, Terry Prince of Manchester; one son, Michael (Ragan) Prince of
Hillsboro; one daughter, Megan (John) Porter of Franklin, TN; four
granddaughters, Anna Lee Prince and Mary Michael Prince, both of
Hillsboro, Ellie Suzanne Porter and Charlie Marie Porter, both of
Franklin; one brother, John (Shandra) Richardson of Manchester; one
niece, Gracie Richardson; nephews, Garrett Richardson, Dusty Lawrence,
Daniel Prince, and John Lawrence; and a host of friends.

flower 22Mr. Frank Brown, age 76, of Coalmont, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Frank was a member of the American Legion, he received the Veteran’s Award from the Grundy County Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Clara Brown, wife, Nellie D. Brown, son, Daniel Wade Brown, brothers, Steven and Roddy Brown. Survivors include his son Rudy A. Brown, Coalmont, TN; sister, Jennie Tate; four grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Kirby, Alexandra, Bailey. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Foster & Lay funeral home chapel with Brother Ray Winton and Brother Clayton Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Coalmont Cemetery, with full Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 A.M. til 9:00 P.M. 11/22/15 — Lanny Lynn Holt

flower 16Mr. Lanny Lynn Holt, age 55 of Manchester, Tennessee
passed from this life on Monday, November 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving
family. Mr. Holt was preceded in death
by his parents, Leon and Estelle Holt, two unborn children, Mother-in-law,
Berta Moreland and Father-in-law, Bob Moreland.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five
years, Lori Moreland Holt, two daughters, Sarah Holt of Murfreesboro,
Tennessee, Hannah Holt of Manchester, Tennessee, two sons, Matthew Holt of
Manchester, Tennessee, Samuel Holt, Manchester, Tennessee, one brother
Danny Holt and countless other beloved friends
and family members and one spoiled Shih Tzu, Bongo.

Lanny was a computer scientist at AEDC, Arnold Air
Force Base since 1981. He married the
love of his life and soul mate. He and
Lori served as Small Groups Ministry Leaders, Children’s Ministry
Leaders, Teen
Core Group Leaders and started the Upward Basketball program at Forest Mill
Church of Christ. Lanny also taught
children and adult Bible school classes for over twenty-five years. He
considered his family his greatest
blessing. Lanny baptized all four of his
children and countless others in the community into Christ. Most
importantly, he loved God and shared God’s
love with everyone he encountered.

Memorial Services for Mr. Lanny L. Holt will be
conducted on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Forest Mill Church of
Christ, Manchester, Tennessee with Brother Benny Benjamin and Brother Heard
Lowry III officiating. Visitation will
be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Forest
Mill Church of Christ, Manchester, Tennessee.

Ronnie Was born in Lynch, Kentucky, a son nof the late James William Worley and Margaret Louise “Sue” Guess Worley; sister, Agnes Louise Worley. He was a brick mason and attended Sweeton Hill Congregational Methodist Church. Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors playing golf and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Worley; daughter, Brooke; brothers, James Edward, Bobby Ray, Steve Michael and Phillip Paul Worley; sisters, Linda Lynn Reas, Sandra Elaine Sanders; several nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend John Potts officiating. Burial will be in Monteagle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
