Billy Duane Ring, age 65 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday December 17, 2015. A native of McMinnville and resident of Hillsboro, Mr. Ring was a farmer and a UFTA bird dog National Champion. He is preceded in death by his father: Jesse David Ring and sister: Peggy Owens. Mr. Ring is survived by his wife: Sharon Zane Ring of Hillsboro; mother: Mae Eloise Ring of Hillsboro; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Lauren (Steve) Jernigan of Manchester and Alison (Will) Terry of Murfreesboro; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Abram (Melinda) Ring of Franklin and Caleb (Kirsten) Ring of Clermont, FL; sister: Beverly Dysart; grandchildren: Owen Ring, Caedmon Ring, Bram Ring, Electra Jernigan, Carter Jernigan, Roman Terry, Keiko Terry; great grandchildren: Tayla Ring, Ellie Ring, Emma Ring. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Ring officiating. Interment will be in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Nancy J. Setzer, age 76 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Wednesday,
Vernon “Gabby” Hayse, husband of the late Tericia A. Hayse, age 84, died Sunday, December 13th at Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tn. Gabby was born in Palmer Tennessee, the only son of Willie and Mabell Hayse. Gabby is survived by his five children : Daughters, Kathryn (Harold) Dykes, Vickie (Ed) Hudgins, Shellie(Bill-SO) Dykes and sons Vernon “Don” Hayse Jr. and John (Edit) Hayse. Gabby and Ann are survived by 14 grand children and 10 great children. Gabby is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart, and a Civil Action Unit Citation. Gabby was wounded in Kumhwa Valley, Korea on August 22nd, 1952, and received the Purple Heart as well as other commendations for his dedication and bravery. The discipline and patriotism he learned as an Army Medic never left him, as friends and family will attest. Services will be held this Friday at 2pm at Foster and Lay Funeral Home, and he will be interred in a family plot at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tracy City, Tennessee.
On December 14, 2015, David William Thomas passed peacefully from this world. He was surrounded by his loving family. David was known as a master craftsman, builder and carpenter. During his career, he and his brother Robert owned a construction company and built many homes in the area. Several have been featured in architecture design publications.
