12/21/15 — Billy Duane Ring

flower 4Billy Duane Ring, age 65 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday December 17, 2015. A native of McMinnville and resident of Hillsboro, Mr. Ring was a farmer and a UFTA bird dog National Champion. He is preceded in death by his father: Jesse David Ring and sister: Peggy Owens. Mr. Ring is survived by his wife: Sharon Zane Ring of Hillsboro; mother: Mae Eloise Ring of Hillsboro; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Lauren (Steve) Jernigan of Manchester and Alison (Will) Terry of Murfreesboro; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Abram (Melinda) Ring of Franklin and Caleb (Kirsten) Ring of Clermont, FL; sister: Beverly Dysart; grandchildren: Owen Ring, Caedmon Ring, Bram Ring, Electra Jernigan, Carter Jernigan, Roman Terry, Keiko Terry; great grandchildren: Tayla Ring, Ellie Ring, Emma Ring. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Ring officiating. Interment will be in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

12/19/15 — Nancy J. Setzer

setzerNancy J. Setzer, age 76 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Wednesday,
December 16, 2015 at NHC in Tullahoma. Visitation with the family will be
Saturday, December 19 from 1 till 3 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edwin E. and
Marie C. Dewalt Anderson. Mrs. Setzer was an artist and loved painting
flowers, especially pansies. She also enjoyed crafting, reading and
shopping. Mrs. Setzer was a very kind woman who had a heart for people and
loved to share the gospel.

She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Bethea and her husband, David of
Tullahoma; one brother, Jerry Anderson and his wife, Pam of Lake Wales, FL
and two grandchildren, Jake and Andy Bethea.

William Henry Keesee
(June 3, 1925 – December 15, 2015)

Mr.  William Henry Keesee  90, of Tullahoma passed Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Alvin York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro.  He was the son of the late George Keesee and Mabel Skelton Keesee.

He is survived by adopted son, Allen (Stephanie) Williams of Tullahoma, TN

Special Lifelong Devoted Friend,  Lena Hatcher of Tullahoma, TN.

Devoted Niece, Debra Keesee of Nashville, TN;  Nieces, Vickie Keesee of Clarksville, TN; Katherine Keesee  and Eugenia (Ronnie) Watson both of Nashville, TN.

Nephews, Dennis (Linda) Keesee and Mitchell Hall both of Erin, TN; Milton Keesee, Jr of Nashville, TN.

Sister in law- Jessie Keesee of Erin, Tn

12/20/2015-William Charles Cooley

William Charles Cooley
(January 7, 1929 – December 15, 2015)

Mr. William Charles Cooley 86, of Tullahoma passed Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at his residence.  He was the son of the late William Charles Cooley and Elzata Young in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Ruth Cooley and son, Charles Michael Cooley.

He is survived by his four children, James (Lee) Cooley, Paul (Marilyn) Cooley, Pamela Cooley Smith and Vincent (Deborah) Cooley;

Four Brothers– George (Betty) Cooley, Charles (Delores) Cooley , LeeRonzo (Marguerite) Cooley, Henry (Elaine) Cooley.

Three Sisters- Jean Ann Cooley, Mary Helen Crutchfield and Vickie Cooley

12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Shorter Chapel AME Church with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 pm at Shorter Chapel AME Church with Rev. Fred Blackwell as Eulogist.  Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

12/18/15 — Vernon Hayse

flower 9Vernon “Gabby” Hayse, husband of the late Tericia A. Hayse, age 84, died Sunday, December 13th at Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tn. Gabby was born in Palmer Tennessee, the only son of Willie and Mabell Hayse. Gabby is survived by his five children : Daughters, Kathryn (Harold) Dykes, Vickie (Ed) Hudgins, Shellie(Bill-SO) Dykes and sons Vernon “Don” Hayse Jr. and John (Edit) Hayse. Gabby and Ann are survived by 14 grand children and 10 great children. Gabby is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart, and a Civil Action Unit Citation. Gabby was wounded in Kumhwa Valley, Korea on August 22nd, 1952, and received the Purple Heart as well as other commendations for his dedication and bravery. The discipline and patriotism he learned as an Army Medic never left him, as friends and family will attest. Services will be held this Friday at 2pm at Foster and Lay Funeral Home, and he will be interred in a family plot at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tracy City, Tennessee.

12/19/15 — David Thomas

flower 11On December 14, 2015, David William Thomas passed peacefully from this world. He was surrounded by his loving family. David was known as a master craftsman, builder and carpenter. During his career, he and his brother Robert owned a construction company and built many homes in the area. Several have been featured in architecture design publications.

David was born April 26, 1929 in Monteagle, Tennessee to Charles and Nettie Thomas who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thomas, children and stepchildren: Jerry Don (Jenny) Thomas, Jeff (Charlotte) Thomas, Jackie Rhodes, and Jay Tucker all of Monteagle and Charles (Rita) Thomas of Piedmont, Alabama. He is also survived by a brother, Charlton (June) Thomas of Monteagle and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Thomas, sister Charlene Lowrie, and granddaughter, Lauren Thomas.

Visitation will be held at Cumberland Funeral Home in Monteagle, TN. Saturday from 12:00—3:00 pm. Visitation will be followed by a memorial service at 3:00 with Claude Hoback and Freddie Harris officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lauren Thomas Scholarship Fund, Saint Andrews-Sewanee School, 290 Quintard Rd, Sewanee, TN 37375 or Harrison Chapel Methodist Church, PO 203, Sewanee, TN 37375.

12/17/2015-Dorothy Louise Jackson McCluney

McCluney, Dorothy Louise Jackson age 87 of Tullahoma, TN passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was an artist and loved to paint. Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Lena Jackson. Survived by her daughter, Kayron McCluney; brother, Ed Allen of Arrowood, AL; sister, Pinkey Hooks (Bill) of Attalla, AL;  grandchildren, Cheria Lendley (Steve Qualls), Brandi Kimbrell (Eric McCullough); great-grandchildren, Zachary Lendley, Leah Porter, Ceygan Thomas, Trenton Porter; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Fred Grider.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Tullahoma Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Concord Cemetery.

12/16/15 — Linda Gail Perry

flower vase 2Linda Gail Perry, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, December
13th, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 68. Ms. Perry
was born in Coffee County to the late Walter and Joe Ruth Brawley Perry.
She was a former employee of Business Card South. In addition to her
parents, Ms. Perry was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Dudley; one
nephew, Steven Arnold; and one brother-in-law, Howard Holt. She is
survived by one sister, Patsy Holt of Tullahoma; and one nephew, Michael
Dudley of Tullahoma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15th,
2015 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be
held on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at 10:00am in the Kilgore Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Canady officiating. Burial will follow at
Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

12/16/15 — Patricia Ann Allen

allenPatricia Ann Allen, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, December
12th, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center at the age of 79. Mrs. Allen
was born in Madison County, Alabama to the late Jack T. and Bonnie E.
Kelley Hayes. During her life she worked at CVS, Medical Center Pharmacy
and Westside Drugs as a Clerk. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Allen. Mrs. Allen is survived
by one son, Thomas Allen of Tullahoma; two daughters, Patricia L. Allen
of Durham, North Carolina and Margaret A. Gunter and her husband Jeffrey
of Dry Branch, Georgia; two sisters, Jackie Proffer of Tullahoma and
Doris Maples of Kingston, Tennessee; and one granddaughter, Courtney Cox.
Visitation for Mrs. Allen will be held on Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 at
Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

12/16/15 — Aaron N. Spencer

spencerMr. Aaron N. Spencer “Boo Boo”, age 21 of Manchester,
Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, December 11, 2015 surrounded
by his loving family.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Spencer and Ronnie
of Manchester, Tennessee, father, Billy Joe Spencer and wife Dawn of Spring,
Texas, two step-brothers, Caleb Labanc and Jacob Bruney, grandmother, Bonnie
New of Manchester, Tennessee, and grandmother, Eva Strickland of Orange
Grove, Texas.

Aaron was a member of the Church of Christ of
Latter-Day Saints of Tullahoma, Tennessee.
He was a student at Coffee County Central High School and he enjoyed

his treasured time with his teachers and
classmates. He loved the outdoors and
four wheeling. He will be dearly missed
by all who knew him and loved him.

Graveside services for Aaron N. Spencer will be
conducted on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Fredonia
Cemetery, Manchester, Tennessee with friends Janet Long and Erin Dobson to
officiate. Burial will follow.
