12/23/15 — Laura Sue Summers

flower 11Mrs. Laura Sue Summers age 79 of Monteagle passed away at her home on Monday. She was a daughter of the late John Kelly Church and Dosia Meeks Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray Summers; brothers John Kenneth “Buck” Church and Glen E. Church; special aunt, Clara Mable Lawson. She was a retired pharmacy technician.

Survivors include a brother, Bill (Shirley) Moon; sisters-in-law, Betty Church and Margaret Johnson; nieces and nephews, Cindy Church, Pam Church, Karen Gipson, Sherry Guyear, Ernie Church, Roxanne Johnson and Billy Moon; special cousins, Sharon Cochran and Craig Lawson; numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 12 noon until hour of service.

12/26/15 — Leonard Jack Mearse

funeral flowerMr. Leonard Jack Mearse, age 61 of McMinnville, passed away Monday,
December 21, 2015 at his residence. Services will be Saturday, December 26,
2015 at 12:00 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to
follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation with the family
will be Saturday from 10 AM until the service time.

A native of Franklin County, Tennessee, he worked in construction as a
roofer. He was the son of the late Floyd and Bernice Mearse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma
Louise Mearse; two brothers, Jerry and Henry Mearse and one sister, Mary
Adams.

He is survived by two sons, Billy and Robert Mearse, both of McMinnville;
one sister, Jean Mearse of Decherd; three grandchildren and one great
grandchild.

Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, December 20, 2015
surrounded by her loving family. Mrs.
Winton was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Lyona Bryan and Verda Ruth
Sartain Bryan, son, Anthony Winton, and
two brothers, Edwin Bryan and Bob Bryan.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Winton and wife
Wendy of Fairview, Tennessee, seven sisters, Violet McMahan of Shady Grove,
Tennessee, Ann DeBerry and husband Bob of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Charlotte
Hartman of Franklin, Tennessee, Carole McMahan of Hillsboro, Tennessee,
Sandra
Simmons of Manchester, Tennessee, Sylvia Walker of Manchester, Tennessee,
Sharon
Elam and husband Mervin of Manchester, Tennessee, one brother, Wayne
Bryan and
wife Pat of Hillsboro, Tennessee, five grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.

Mrs. Winton was a member of the Hillsboro Church of
Christ in Hillsboro, Tennessee for a number of years. She treasured her
time with the
grandchildren, great grandchildren and the nieces and nephews. She
enjoyed her work, watching old movies and
had a love for all types of music. She
was said to be an outstanding cook. She
will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Her faith and her family were her life.

Private Graveside Services for Mrs. Dot Winton will be
conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Hillsboro Methodist
Cemetery
with Brother Tom Harrison officiating. A
private burial will follow. Public
visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 10:00 AM until
11:00 AM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee.

simsThomas Vance Sims, age 76 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away, Sunday,
December 20, 2015 at his residence. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Wednesday, December 23 at 4 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Pastor
Jimmy Kelley officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday,
from 2 PM until the time of the service.

A native of Zanesville, OH he was the son of the late Michael E. Sr. and
Florence Ethel Preston Sims. He served in the U S Navy and was a truck
driver for Batesville Casket. He was a member of the Westside United
Pentecostal Church. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. He
enjoyed golfing with friends, but most of all he loved family time, singing
Karaoke with his daughters and playing with his grandchildren. He was a
hardworking family man that can never be replaced.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David
M and Jon S Sims.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Linda Ross Sims of Tullahoma; four
daughters, Vicki Lyn Swauger and her husband, Tim of Bradenton, FL, Debora
Sue Johnson and her husband, Robert of Tullahoma, Melissa Jane Hamilton and
her husband, Jerry of Bradenton, FL and Thomasue V. Maddle and her husband,
Martin of Tullahoma; one brother, Michael E Sims II and his wife, Katie of
Tullahoma; sisters, Sue Tracey and her husband, Bob of Winchester and
Eileen Bentley and her husband, Charlie of Zanesville, OH; fifteen
grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hannah was born on March 2, 1960 in Atlanta, GA to Charles and the late Mary Elizabeth Epperson Hannah. He was employed many years as a caregiver. Mr. Hannah had a special passion for painting house outside and inside. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren family and friends. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Hannah, sister, Mary Heath and brother, Terry Hannah. Mr. Hannah is survived by his daughters; Tasha Tucker and her husband Derek of Estill Springs, Tenn., Treva Hannah of Tullahoma, Tenn., grandchildren; Jaydon Bryant, Kanyon Tucker, Cason Tucker, brother, Frank Gover and his Cathy of Estill Springs, Tenn., sister, Tracie McCreary and her husband Jason of Decherd. Visitation with the Holmes family will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Kristin passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 19, 2015 after an extended illness.

Kristin was born on November 13, 1973, to Anthony “Tony” Reeves and Sharon Sparrow in Tampa, Florida. She was employed as an office manager and a member of the Forest Mill Church of Christ and the Canvas Community Church in Manchester. She loved her family and helping others. She strived in growing her faith and furthering her relationship with God.

In addition to her parents, Kristin is survived by her loving husband, Craig Holmes of Manchester, Tennessee; three sons, C.J. Holmes and wife Chareese of Cochran, Georgia, Corey Holmes and wife Brittany of Cartersville, Georgia, and Zakary Holmes of Manchester, Tennessee; two daughters, Sydney and Emma Holmes both of Manchester, Tennessee; also by three sisters, Eileen Eslick of Tampa, Florida, Ashlei Weisenhaan and her husband Allen also of Tampa, Florida, and Schannen Knighton and her husband David of Springfield, Missouri.

at Erlander Hospital in Chattanooga. Funeral Services are scheduled for

Pastor Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial
Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, December 23 from 10
AM until the service time.

A native of Manchester, TN, she was the daughter of the late B W Lackey and
Dorothy Rogers Lackey of Tullahoma, who survives. She graduated from
Coffee County High School and attended Trevecca Nazarene College. Joyce
was employed at Skills Development Center, Big Lots and the Beauty School.
She loved to work outdoors, plant flowers and decorate her house. She also
loved her animals on the farm. She was a member of the First Church of the
Nazarene in Tullahoma.

In addition to her mother, Dorothy Rogers Lackey of Tullahoma, she is
survived by her husband, Stephen Landers of Tullahoma; aunts, Winnell
Pittenger of Tullahoma and Bobbie Stem of Summitville and numerous other
cousins and loving family members.

Marie Jennie Adams, age 81, of Tullahoma, passed away on Sunday, December
20, 2015 at her residence. There will be no services.

Marie was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Robert Lee
Frazier and Myrtle Jennie Frame Frazier. She was a retired cosmetologist
and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Tullahoma. Marie loved crafts,
nature of all sorts, volunteering at the Franklin County Humane Society,
flower gardening and riding in the woods.

In addition to her parents, Marie was also preceded in death by her
husband, James E. Adams and one sister, Evidene Frazier. She is survived
by two brothers, Darris Edward (Janice) Frazier and Bernice Lee (Dora)
Frazier, both of Manchester; one sister, Cathrene Newman of Manchester;
several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; a special friend,
Ronnie Dunn; and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby R. Hawk, age 102, of Pelham, TN, will be
conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow
in Warren Cemetery in Pelham. Visitation with the family will be from
5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, December 21 at the funeral home. Mrs.
Hawk passed away Sunday morning at McArthur Manor in Manchester.

Mrs. Hawk was born in Grundy County, the daughter of the late John Henry
and Lillie Moran Rieder. She was a seamtress at various factories and
cooked at Pelham School and was of the Church of Christ faith. She loved
to read, sewing, quilting, and needlework.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawk was also preceded in death by her
husband, Dillon Hawk; and two sisters, Anna Ruth Gilliam and Henrietta
Curtis. She is survived by one daughter, Verna Ruth (J.L.) Winton of
Pelham; two grandchildren, Teresa (Tim) Cunningham of Grundy County and
Gaye (John) Kelley of Estill Springs; four great grandchildren, Courtney
(Jonathan) Pragel, John Cunningham, Blake (Teela) Kelley, and Drew
Kelley; and one great, great grandchild, Camden Reese Pragel.

Farrar, Howard E., of Manchester, passed this life on Friday, December
18th, 2015 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma at the age of 81. Mr. Farrar
was born in Manchester to the late Charlie and Nancy Hawks Farrar. He was
a member of Hoover’s Grove Church of Christ and worked his entire life as
a route driver, first for Double Cola, then Pepsi Cola, and finally for
Bunny Bread, from which he retired. In addition to his parents, Mr.
Farrar was preceded in death by an infant son, Howard; two brothers,
Frank and Clayton Farrar; and two sisters, Della Huffman and Edith Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine Farrar of Manchester;
three sons, Jerry Farrar and his wife Missy of Tullahoma, Tim Farrar and
his wife Jenny of Pearl, Mississippi, and Andy Farrar and his wife Amy of
Manchester; two daughters, Debbie Eggleston and her husband Ronald
“Bubba” of Tullahoma and Dianna Hoefer of Missouri; one brother, David
Farrar of Crevecoeur, Illinois; grandchildren, Michael Farrar, Logan
Farrar, Tyler Seahorne, Bryce Hoefer, Laura Hoefer, Karen Hoefer, Kyle
Hoefer, Drew Hoefer, Bryan Farrar, Beth Farrar, Haley Eggleston, Haden
Eggleston, Garrett Farrar, and Ethan Farrar; and great-grandchildren,
Alyssa Farrar, Ellie Seahorne, Emmaline Seahorne and Kingston Eggleston.
Visitation for Mr. Farrar will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015

on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home
Chapel with Bro. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Hoover’s
Grove Cemetery in Moore County. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers,

American City Bank. All proceeds collected for the fund will be donated
to the American Cancer Society.
