1/14/16 — Elizabeth A. Hockins

hockinsFuneral services for Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hockins, age 78, of Manchester,
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hurricane Cemetery in Coffee
County, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00
PM on Wednesday, January 13 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hockins passed
away early Tuesday morning at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Mrs. Hockins was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Paul Oscar
and Bernice Bryant Dieterich. She was a factory worker and was of the
Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her
husband, David Hockins. She is survived by three nephews, Tommy
(Charlotte) Barker, George (Carol) Barker, and Robert Barker; one niece,
Nancy (Ernest) Hutcheson; and several great nieces and nephews.

flower vase 2Cynthia Louene Todd Walden, age 55, born in Elkhart, Indiana and longtime
resident of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into rest on January 10,
2016 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester. She was an Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistant (ACNA) who loved taking care of other people.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert “Gibb” Leonard Todd;
brother,Tony Gilbert Todd; and step-father, Barney Gordon. Cynthia is
survived by her mother, Patricia Faye Todd of Manchester, Tenn.; nieces,
Tisha Tate Monroe and Brandi Todd; nephews, Ace Derek Gilbert of
Wartburg, Tenn., Tony Ray Todd of Manchester, Tenn.; special friend,
Terry Thompson; best friends, Jennifer Baker, Jeanene Thomas Yates, Penny
Golf and Roxanne Akers; and a host of friends.

1/13/16 — Kenneth Dwight Crosslin

crosslinMr. Kenneth Dwight “Dawg” Crosslin, age 64 of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, January 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Crosslin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and June Crosslin, one sister, Betti Lynn Crosslin, and two brothers, H.J. Crosslin and Darell Keith Crosslin.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Vickie Crosslin of Manchester, Tennessee, one daughter, Shannon Tate and husband Terry of Manchester, Tennessee, two sons, Andy Crosslin and wife Kim of Manchester, Tennessee, Matthew Crosslin and wife Misty of Beechgrove, Tennessee, one brother, Dennis Crosslin and wife Reba of Manchester, Tennessee,
and eight grandchildren, Taryn Tate, Bohdi Tate, Brandon Haston, Nathanial Tate, Katie Crosslin, Sara Beth Crosslin, Hunter Crosslin, and AnnaLee Crosslin.

Mr. Crosslin worked for Arnold Engineering Development Center for almost thirty years. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, motorcycles and almost anything he could do while enjoying the outdoors. He had a unique love for fast cars and enjoyed Nascar races always pulling for the Ford drivers. Dwight cherished his family and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dwight Crosslin will be conducted on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee with Brother Tom Brantley officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tennessee. Mr. Crosslin will be cremated per his wishes.

doresettSarah Ida Phernetton Dorsett, age 83, departed this life suddenly on January 11, 2016, at Harton Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 22, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. She was a homemaker. Ms. Dorsett was a member of the Wilson Avenue Church of Christ. Her hobbies were working crossword puzzles and watching wrestling. She loved people and loved life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Mullins Neal, husband, Charlie Dorsett and son, Kenneth Neal. She is survived by her daughters; Jessie Lee McGuffey and Sarah Ann Anderson both of Tullahoma, Betty Sue Dorsett of Estill Springs, sons; Jerry Wayne (Caty) Dorsett Thomas (Diane) Dorsett all of Tullahoma, 13 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Services for Ms. Dorsett are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Randy Davis, officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 until service time at 2:00 on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Hoovers Grove Cemetery in Tullahoma. James Allen Lewis age 77 of Tullahoma, TN passed away January 9th, 2016 with his family by his side. Mr. Lewis was very active in the “Kick-A-Poo” Archery Club and was an avid hunter and gardener. He worked at AEDC for a proud 38 years and retired as a project administrator. He adored being outdoors as much he could with family and friends. He also served 8 years in the TN Army National Guard. He was a very devoted son, brother, husband, friend and personal caregiver for his parents. Mr. Lewis was a very loving Daddy and “Pempa” to his girls and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Fred Lewis Jr. and Clark Lewis; twins Keith & Kelly Lewis and his mother and father Fred and Lola Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 beautiful years Mrs. Peggy Fletcher Lewis; Daughters Karen Rene Masters; Kimberly Diane (Terry) Sanders; Grandchildren Heather Lockwood, James Nicholas Masters, Tiffany Sanders, Dylan Sanders; Great-Grandchild Destiny Morrison; Sisters Angie Smoot, Dorothy Carman, Charlotte Austin and several Nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the wonderful people at Hospice Compassus for their generosity and kindness during this difficult time. The family has also requested that in lieu of flowers that all donations are made to the Coffee County Senior Center in honor of Mr. Lewis.

away on January 10, 2016 at the Erlanger Medical Center in
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Miller was a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) and served as the Vice President-Treasurer of
M-Tek, Inc. in Manchester; served in the United States Navy from
August 1972- August 1976; and attended the Trinity Baptist Church
in Manchester, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by hisparents,
Robert Lionel Miller, Sr. and Mary Ellen Howe Miller. He is
survived by his sons, David R. Miller of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and
Jonathan L. Miller of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Patricia E.
Farrell (John) and Linda Meade (Robert); brothers, George M. Miller
(Terri) and Thomas L. Miller (Linda); four grandchildren, Danielle
Miller, Cate Miller, Rebeka Miller and Hayden Miller all of
Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a host of friends.Visitation was on

in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her
parents, the late Ralph W. Cornstubble and Lillian G. Bieliski
Cornstubble and sister, Wanda Blair. Se was a homemaker who loved
to work in the garden, flower beds crocheting, reading and doing
crossword puzzles. Mrs. Bartell is survived by her husband, Robert
Wayne Bartell of Manchester, Tenn.; children, Ricky W. Bartell
(Tammy) of Manchester, Mark Bartell (Penny) of Manchester, Debra L.
Myers (Johnny) of Hillsboro; step-children, Tina M. Deck of
Jonesville, Michigan (MI), Robert Bartell (Julie) of Jackson, MI
and Jana L. Powell of Sarasota, Florida; sisters, Patricia Anderson

flower27Allen Wayne Luther age 67 of Tullahoma, TN passed away Friday, January 8th, 2016 with his family by his side. He was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. He always wanted to help everyone. He was a retired Iron Worker from TNT Steel. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Myrtle Luther; brother John Luther; granddaughter Bronica Jackson and his loving wife of many years Edna Rosalee Luther. He survived by his son Phillip Dwayne Luther; Daughter in Law Julie Burks; Daughter Pamela (Bobby) Keeton; Grandchildren Kenny, Kameron, Brandi, Alex, Camron; Terry Luther; Sister Violet Mayes; Nieces and Nephews Terri Luther, Robert Wayne Luther, Robin (Ida) Horn, Richard Horn.

1/19/16 — Henry Irwin Weinhold

weinholdHenry “Hank” Irwin Weinhold, age 90 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away,
Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Morning Point of Tullahoma. Funeral Services
will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10 AM at the Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 AM until service time. Burial
will follow at 2 PM at the Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Road,
Madison, TN.

A native of New Castle, PA, Mr. Weinhold was the son of the late Daniel and
Justine Weinhold. He was retired from the U S Navy serving in WW II, the
Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran
Church, the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion. Hank
enjoyed playing golf and was an excellent bowler. He also enjoyed playing
the piano. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburg
Steelers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife,
Mabel Weinhold and two brothers, George and Dan Weinhold.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Weinhold of Tullahoma; daughter,
Christine Canter and her husband, Harry of Dickson; step-sons, Ron Wenzel
and his wife, Denise of Tullahoma and Calvin Wenzel and his wife, Marialice
of Wartburg and step daughter Susan Sparks and her husband, Bill of
Huntsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his honor to Faith Lutheran Church 101 Bragg Circle, Tullahoma, TN 37388

1/09/16 — Wilburn Murl Bell

flower 7Wilburn Murl Bell, age 91 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away
from this life on January 6, 2016. Mr. Bell was preceded in death
by his parents, Joe & Hester Bell of Wayne City Illinois; his twin
brother, Wilfred Bell; two sisters, Kathryn Wilson and Patsy
Sanders and a younger brother, Larry Joe Bell. Mr. Bell was born
February 7, 1924 in Fairfield, Illinois and grew up in Wayne City
Illinois. He served in World War II and Korea in the United State
Army Transportation Corps. After his discharge from the service
went to A & E (School of Aeronautics. After graduation he went to
work for Chance Vaught Aircraft in Connecticut-later moving to
Dallas Texas-later transferred to Edwards Air Force Base in
California on flight test program. Lost contract and moved back to
Dallas, Texas He met Mildred – he moved to Tennessee with Arnold
Engineering Development Center (AEDC). He was a deacon and active
member of the First Baptist Church in Manchester for over 50 years.
He taught Sunday School for several years. He had a very active
part in building Boynton Valley Baptist Church-served there as
Sunday School teacher for several years. He also helped at the
Beech Grove Baptist Church for a number of years.

Baptist Church in Manchester, Tennessee
