2/21/16 — Lee Michael Whitham

whithamFuneral services for Mr. Lee Michael Whitham, age 54, of Manchester, TN,
will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday
evening at the funeral home. Lee passed away suddenly Monday morning at
Unity Medical Center in Manchester.

Lee was born in Memphis, TN, the son of Donald M. and Barbara June Holden
Whitham of Lynnwood, WA. He was a graduate of Freed Hardeman University,
Vice President of Human Resources for Jacobs Technology in Tullahoma, TN,
and a member of Forest Mill Church of Christ.

Lee was preceded in death by one daughter, Christy Louise Whitham and a
respected father-in-law, Clyde E. Swanger. In addition to his parents,
Lee is also survived by his loving wife of 33 ½ years, Cindy Jo Swanger
Whitham of Manchester; one daughter, Lindsey Lee Whitham Hibdon, her
husband, Nick, and grandson, Jackson Steele Hibdon of Hillsboro; one
brother, Robert M. Whitham of Lake Stevens, WA; two sisters, Linda J.
Cook of Chandler, AZ and Charlotte W. (Darrell) Ware of Lynnwood, WA; a
loving mother-in-law, Martha F. Swanger of Manchester; sister-in-law,
Suzanne S. (Steve) Gannon of Smyrna; four nephews, Kyle Whitham, Zakkery
Ware, Tyler Gannon and Andrew Gannon; and great nephew and niece, Aaron
and Rylee Gannon. He is also survived by numerous friends and other
family members.

for Mr. Coy Lee Parker, age 81 a resident of Manchester, TN will be
conducted Friday,
February 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. The family
will receive friends Friday
morning from 11:00 AM until time of services with graveside services
immediately following at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Parker passed
away at Covenant Hospice in
Pensacola, FL on February 12, 2016.

He was born in
Coffee County on October 9, 1934 to the late John Ural and Virgie Vickers
Parker. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Blanton’s Chapel
Community of Manchester. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in
death by
his wife, Katheryn Elizabeth Garbison Parker; siblings, Mamie Toliver,
Donald
Randolph Parker and Jewel Dean Parker; brother-in-laws, Daniel and Chuck
Garbison.

Survivors include his
daughter, Brenda Kay Parker Shoman and husband Salim of Pensacola, FL;
grandsons, John Cory Parker Lanier of Manchester, TN, Daniel Cyle Reed
and wife
Page of Manchester, TN; great-grandchildren, Sam, Max, Lydia, Caleb,
Grayson,
Rebekah, and Parker; special nieces, Kelley G. Parker Hall and husband
Steve of
Murfreesboro, TN; step-children, Jim Pellegrini and wife Helen, Tom
Pellegrini
and wife Betty, Karen Pellegrini Smith and husband Jay, Carmen Pellegrini;
step-grandchildren, Lisa, Crystal, Jimmy, Phil, Jeremy and wife Keeta,
Felicia
and husband Tim; sister-in-law, Joan Parker; also many more
great-grandchildren, special grandgirls he loved so much, loving family,
friends and special friends at Coffee County Senior Citizens Center.

He married the love of his life Kay in 1966. They
shared 38 yrs of happiness together. Before she passed, he cared for her
in every way he could. Making her happy was his always his goal in
life. He worked 45 yrs at Wilsons Sporting Goods Tullahoma. He
retired in 1997 to have more time with his wife and family. He also
farmed his entire life. He never missed a day checking on his mother and
the farm on his way home from work. After Kay passed he became an active
member of the Coffee County Senior Citizens Center. He loved to shoot
pool daily with his friends. His love of sports has been passed
down through to his great grand children. They had the pleasure of taking
him
to his first Braves game. Win or lose he loved his Braves. He
was a true fan of his beloved Tennessee Vols and Titans Football. In his
last days he had enjoyed watching college basketball getting ready for March
Madness that he so enjoyed. He is also leaving us with his love of John
Wayne and all his Westerns. He watched Gunsmoke and Bonanza daily.
He had an incredible sense of humor even in the darkest times. I know that’s
how he will want to be remembered.

Chapel. Mr. Cooper passed this life Saturday, February 6 at his home in
Manchester

Mr. Cooper was born in Manchester, Tennessee the son of the late Jesse
Hillrie Cooper and Leatha Taylor Cooper. He was a sewing machine
mechanic for Basham Industries and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr.
Cooper is survived by:

Cornelison passed this life Friday, February 12, 2016 at her home
surrounded by her loving family.

Rosie was born in Coffee County, Tennessee the daughter of the late
Charlie Washington Cornelison and Lillie Mae Lowery Cornelison. She was
a former employee of both PCA and Eden Industries in Manchester and was a
homemaker. Rosie was of the Pentecostal faith. Her survivors are:

flower27Ms. Justine Ramona Weaver, 57 of Tullahoma, passed away on Feb. 12, 2016 at her residence.
Justine loved country music, John Denver, Richard Simmons, whom she had met, and represented Tennessee Special Olympics in the first International Special Olympics in Buffalo, NY. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, choir chimes and making latch hook rugs.
Ms. Weaver was born on June 3, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Louise Holder Weaver.
She is survived by her sister Paula (Harrell) Phillips of Huntsville, AL and niece Elizabeth (Gene) Bowman and great nephew Zachery Bowman also of Huntsville, AL.
Visitation with family will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Revs. Susan Rock and Coy Hallmark.

flower27Graveside services for William Scott Wallace, Sr., age 71 of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2016 at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Wallace passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home in Estill Springs, TN.

Mr. Wallace was born on March 13, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia. He worked for many years as a steel fabricator and most recently worked for the City of Tullahoma. He was an artist and loved to draw.

Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margarie Wallace.

02/13/16-Denny Marshall Glasner

Denny Marshall Glasner, age 66 of Decherd, passed away Thursday February 11, 2016 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he had made his home in Winchester all his life. He was a Vietnam Era veteran of the U. S. Army. Following his military service he begun his career as a truck driver for The Rogers Group and later PCA. He loved squirrel and rabbit hunting and took great pride in raising Beagle hounds. Mr. Glasner is preceded in death by his father, Lames Walter Glasner; brothers, Eddie James Glasner and Robby Ray Glasner. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pearline Swoape Glasner of Decherd; daughters, Tina (Denny) Luttrell & Valorie Glasner, both of Decherd and Crystal (Benji) Gold of Tullahoma; mother, Ruby Gipson Glasner of Decherd; grandchildren, Ashely & Tammi Glasner, Kimberly Beckett, Duane Dodson, Angel & Addison Gold; nephews, Michael, Rodney and Jason Glasner. 2/15/16 — Ruth Mary Johnson

flower 18Ruth Mary Johnson, age 80 of Hillboro, Tennessee, passed away on February
10, 2016. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, the late
Rolan John Nichols and Mary Pearl Michael Nichols; sister, Martha Lee;
son, Alan Max Johnson; and brothers, Dean Nichols, Donald Nichols and
Danny Nichols. She was a farmer’s wife, member of the Birdlake Bible
Church in Osseo, Michigan and attended the Bible Methodist Church in
Manchester,Tennessee. She worked for the Dollar General Store for over 20
years where she worked as an Assistant Manager while living in Alabama
and worked as a Clerk in Tennessee. She was a hardworking,devoted mother,
Christian, and faithful Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. She had
a generous and caring heart. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband,
Martin T. Johnson of Hillsboro, Tenn. children, Cindy S. Johnson of
Hillsboro, Tenn. and Stanley M. Johnson of Catarina, Texas; brother, Max
E. Nichols of Osseo, Michigan; three grandchildren, Matthew Lelana
Robortson of Autaugaville,Alabama, Stanley Martin Odam, Jr. of Cocoa,
Florida and Patrick Alan Odom of Cocoa, Florida; and a host of friends.

2/13/16 — Anna A. Jernigan Gipson

gipsonAnna A. Jernigan Gipson, age 82 of Decherd, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at home surrounded by her children. Anna was born and raised in Decherd, graduated from the old Winchester Academy and Franklin County High School, class of 1953. In addition to raising six children while her husband was in the army, she was a second mother to all the children in the neighborhood. Mrs. Gipson was very active in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and School and was an active supporter of North Jr. High School and Franklin County High School bands. She was heavily involved with the local VFW and American Legion posts, serving in various leadership positions, including the 5th district president. Mrs. Gipson also volunteered at meals-on-wheels, VA Hospital, Good Samaritan, and Franklin County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James Buford Gipson; parents, Butler Jernigan, Sr. and Theresa Gang Jernigan; Sisters Marie (Jimmy) Hollis, Vera (Clint) Powers, Jessie Lou (Eugene) Garner, Catherine (Sister Mary Richard) Jernigan; brothers Butler Jr. (Elizabeth) Jernigan, Charles (Margie) Jernigan, and Richard (Virginia) Jernigan, and special friend Brenda Roberts of Cowan. David W. Honey, age 64 of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away Monday, February
8, 2016 at his residence. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday,
February 12 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow
at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Visitation with the family
will be Thursday, February 11 from 5 – 8 PM.

A native of Gurden, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Robert Eugene
Honey and Sue Covington Smith of Fayetteville. He was a member of the
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville and enjoyed fishing,
hunting, riding motorcycles, collecting knives and NASCAR. Mr. Honey and
his wife, Connie own North Jackson Tire in Tullahoma. He never met a
stranger and everyone liked him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny
Honey and stepfather, John Smith.

In addition to his mother, Sue Smith of Fayetteville, he is survived by his
wife, Connie Honey of Tullahoma; two sons, Jonathon Honey and his wife,
Macie of Tullahoma and Robert Honey of Fayetteville; sister, Linda Harrison
of Fayetteville; two special children, Jason and April Golden of
Fayetteville; special friend, Rick McFerrin of Woodbury and one grandchild
on the way.
