Ida May Hall, age 73 of Manchester, TN passed away Saturday, March 19,
2016 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. No services scheduled at this

Edna J. Rosson

flower 18Edna J. Rosson, age 75 of Normandy, Tennessee passed away, Saturday, March
19 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma. No services are scheduled.

Mrs. Rosson, a native of Manchester, was the daughter of the late William
Sanford and Margaret Holt Eley. She was an inspector for Worth and then
worked at Oak Technical. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren
and working crossword puzzles. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her pet
dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers.

Mrs. Rosson is survived by one son, William Rosson of Manchester; one
daughter, Sandra Lewis and her husband, Charles of Normandy and five
grandchildren, Jennifer Rosson of Manchester, Heather Lewis of Normandy,
Zack Rosson of Chattanooga, Andrew Rosson of Manchester and Allana Rosson
of Manchester.

3/21/16 — Henry Taylor Stevens

flower 11Mr. Henry Taylor Stevens, age 89, of Monteagle, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Sewanee, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Ethel Crowe Stevens, brother, Edward “Toopie” Stevens; son, Sam Stevens; grandson, Josh Stevens.

He is survived by his children, Susan Williams, Jennifer (Daryll) Smiley, Denise Hill, Troy Stevens; brothers, Carl Stevens and Frank Stevens; sister, Pauline McCanless; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at Monteagle First Baptist Church with Dr. Daryll Smiley officiating. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be made at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.

flower vase 3Mr. Leiber Childress 76, of Winchester passed Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his residence.

He was the son of the late Willie Childress and Georgia Carro Childress. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Ray Childress, two sisters, Gloria Mischa Childress and a baby girl.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of many years, Charlotte Childress.

Two daughters, Tammy Childress of Nashville, TN; and Kimberly Childress of Winchester, TN;

Three sons, Stanley (Johnnie) Burnette, Troy Burnette, and Allen Burnette all of Winchester, TN.

Fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Sisters-in-law, Annie Faye Childress, Carrie Etta Brown, Ernestine Trimble, Arnell (Jerry) Horton, Deborah (Larry) Williams and Darlene (Lamont) Snipes.

Brothers-in-law, Charles Burnette, Freeman Burnett and Floyd Blackwell.

Aunt, Hazel Childress and Uncle, Elder Royce Hill

Two special nieces, Theresa Greer and Annette Bean and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

snellOn March 18, 2016 Mrs. Doris E. Snell age 78 of Manchester, TN passed from this life. Mrs. Snell was a very loving woman that had the respect and dignity of a true southern lady. She was a very hard worker and it showed in everything she did from cooking, canning, her artistic abilities and the love for her family. She did everything for her family and friends. Her hobbies were endless but her true passions were gardening and wildlife.
Mrs. Snell is preceded in death by her parents Herman L. Tankersley and Leona (Taylor) Tankersley; Two Brothers Pat and Joe Tankersley and Precious Son Terry Snell. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 glorious years Mr. Billy Snell; Children Daniel Clay Snell, Sherri Leona Duke and Husband Timothy Holt Duke; Grandchildren Zachary Holt Duke, Erica Sherae Duke and Kayla Marie Snell and Great Grandchild William Holt Robinson; Sisters Josephine Thomas, Hermaline Jones and Nancy F. May; Several Nieces and Nephews; One Sister In Law Katie Hayes and Very Special friend Rachel Evans.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19th, 2016 from Five O’clock in the evening until Eight O’clock in the evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home in Tullahoma, TN. The funeral services will be held in Tullahoma Funeral Homes Chapel on Sunday, March 20th, 2016 at two O, clock in the afternoon. Interment will follow to Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

flower 23Funeral services for Mrs. Willie K. VanHooser, age 94, of Portland, TN,
formerly of Manchester, will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March
21, 2016 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM
until 8:00 PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. VanHooser
passed away Wednesday evening at Sumner Regional Medical Center in
Gallatin, TN.

Willie was born in Gainesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Vallie J.
Kirby. She was a former member of Main Street Church of Christ. Willie
was a hairdresser and worked for many years alongside her late husband,
Buford VanHooser and the Deadman family at the original Manchester
Funeral Home.

In addition to her mother and her husband, Willie was also preceded in
death by a brother, Thurman Kirby. She is survived by one son, Bill
(wife, Leslie) VanHooser of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Tommie Louise
(husband, James R.) Kershaw of Hendersonville, TN; one brother, Louie C.
Kirby; two sisters, Bonnie J. Desits of South Bend, IN and Dorothy
Stafford of Red Boiling Springs, TN; three grandchildren; three great
grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.

Redden Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, March 18, 2016
from 5PM until 8PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Banks passed away on
Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Manchester Healthcare.

Mrs. Banks was born on October 13, 1924 to the late Dewey and Grovey Smith. She was a member of
Riley Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paskel D. Banks.

Her survivors include her son, Elton Banks; daughters, Brenda Hathaway (Paul), Patsy Johnson, Treva
Hedgepath; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

3/19/16 — Barry Lee Thomas

thomasBarry Lee Thomas of Tullahoma, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday,
March 16, 2016 at the age of 82 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at 2 PM at the
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Maplewood
Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until the time of
services.

Mr. Thomas, a native of Tullahoma, was the son of the late Raymond Lee and
Winnie Amos Thomas. He was employed by the Tullahoma Police Department in
the late 1950’s and by the Tullahoma Fire Department in the early 1960’s.
He retired from Carrier Corporation. He attended the Church of Jesus
Christ in Tullahoma. He enjoyed studying history and making scrapbooks. He
loved listening to music and going to church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife,
Dorothy Lee Woodard Thomas, one son, Danny Ray Thomas and one brother,
David Ray Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Langley Thomas of Tullahoma; son, Kenny
Wayne Thomas of Texas; sister, Minnie Womack of Tullahoma; five
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Sally Mary McLaughlin Vann, age 80 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away on
March 16, 2016 at the St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She
was a retired Quality Assurance Compliance Officer in the Medical Healthcare
field at the former Medical Center of Manchester (Unity Medical Center). Mrs
Vann was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Vann; daughter, Ingrid Vann;
parents, the late William Joseph McLaughlin and Mary Doherty McLaughlin;
brothers, Billy McLaughlin and Johnny Cavanaugh; sister, Jackie Cavanaugh.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thurmon Allin Vann of
Manchester, TN.; children, Michelle (Tim) Darr, Eileen (Jimmy) Watson, Kevin
Vann, Stephanie (Mike) Moore, Renee (Tim) Pierce and Mark (Christy) Vann;
grandchildren, Patricia Neal, David Grant, Brittany Moore, Kayla Aaron,
Sarah Pierce and Lauren Pierce; great-grandchildren, Karley Neal, Neyland
Grant, Norah Grant and Kristen Neal; sisters, Patricia Schnabel, Irene Funk
and Susan Haynes; brothers, Tommy McLaughlin, Jimmy Cavanaugh and Henry
