3/26/16 — Nora Lea Hardin

hardinNora Lea Hardin, age 100 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away, Thursday,
March 24, 2016 at the Southern Manor in Winchester. Funeral services will
be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 3 PM at the Winchester First United
Methodist Church with Dr. Steve Angus officiating. Burial will follow at
Franklin Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Saturday
from 1 PM until the service time.

A native of Decatur County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and
Myrtle Thompson Crawley. Mrs. Hardin graduated from Lambeth University in
Jackson, TN with a teaching degree and began teaching in Decatur County in
a one room school with sixty students. She and the cook were the only
employees of the school. She then went on to become a social worker in
Decatur County. After WWII ended, she married William George Hardin. She
then began working for the Human Services Department in Decatur County and
in 1959 she and her husband moved to Winchester. She became the County
Director of Human Services in Franklin County, a position she held until
her retirement. She was a member of the Winchester First United Methodist
Church, a charter member of Good Samaritan, a life member of the Eastern
Star and a member of the Retired Consolidated Teachers Association. Mrs.
Hardin enjoyed sewing, gardening, doing crewel work and was an awesome cook.
Her Chocolate Pie was well known for being the best.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57
years, William George Hardin; four brothers, John, Grady, Bill and Monroe
Crawley and one sister, Edna Alexander.

Mrs. Hardin is survived by one daughter, Jane Smith and her husband, Danny
of Winchester; one granddaughter, Karen Michael of Winchester; two
grandchildren, Kylea and Jamie Michael; one sister, Martha Glenn of
Germantown; four sisters-in-law, Mildred Crawley, Mary Ann Crawley, Sharon
Sue Crawley and Linda Crawley Wallace, all of Decaturville and many nieces,
nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to
the First United Methodist Building Fund, 100 S. Jefferson, Winchester, TN
37398.

flower4Funeral services for Dustin Alan Keele, age 29, of Manchester, will be
conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Manchester Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Sain officiating. Burial will follow in Adam
Duncan Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until
8:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home. Dustin passed away on
Monday, March 21, 2016.

Dustin was born in Franklin County, TN, and graduated from Coffee County
Central High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for Keele
Excavating and enjoyed horseback riding and four wheeling.

Dustin is survived by his father, Keith (Judy Murray) Keele of
Manchester; his mother, Rhonda Gibbons (Van) Raines of Morrison; two
sons, Damian and Case Keele; one daughter, Haley Keele; one brother,
Mickey Blanton; one sister, Leslie Keele; paternal grandmother, Carolyn
Keele; maternal grandparents, Joe (Lucy) Gibbons; aunt, Kammie (Rick)
Queener; uncles, Randy Vincent, Troy (Diana) Keele, and Charles Keele;
special friends, Katie and Kolby McCormick; and numerous cousins and
friends.

flower 7James Henry Garner of Manchester passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at
Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Garner was 46 years old. No
services are scheduled.

Mr. Garner is survived by two daughters, Cheyenne Vaughn and her husband,
Junior of Morrison and Tawana Pearl Garner of Tullahoma; one son, James
Hunter Garner; and five sisters, Betty Jean Jackson, Susie Frances
Prichett, Shirley Bolin and Connie Pearl Moulder, all of Manchester and
Johnnie Walden of Tullahoma.

flower 22Mr. Glenn Miller 70, of Paterson New Jersey, native of Winchester passed March 19, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva (Morrow) Miller and Robert Miller; wife, Myrtle Miller and siblings, Dianne Ruth, Genelle, Eddie C, Clark and James Miller and one grandchild, Dayziah Ferguson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters, Eugenia Byfield, Lenore Byfield and Mia (Charles) Jacobs ,Paulette Miller.

3/26/16 — Dorothy Jean Rayburn

Dorothy Jean “Dot” Rayburn, age 86 of Manchester, Tennessee passed away,
Monday, March 21, 2016 at NHC of Tullahoma. Funeral services will be held
Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with
burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In the absence of her
minister, Bro. Phillip Davis, Bro. Horace Lee Jacobs will be officiating.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 25 from 5 PM – 8 PM.

Mrs. Rayburn, a native of Tullahoma, was the daughter of the late Lester A.
and Naomi Coombs Ward. She was a member of Grundy Street Church of Christ.
She was active in her church teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed dancing,
fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest pastime was
learning about and collecting antique glassware.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Lillard Rayburn.

Mrs. Rayburn is survived by one son, Tim Rayburn and his wife, Rebecca of
Waukesha, WI; one brother, Lester A. “Buddy” Ward Jr and his wife, Judi
of
Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Ashley Bennett and her husband, Joshua of
Martinez, GA and Andrew Rayburn and his wife, Lerryn of Waukesha, WI and
several nieces, nephews and cousins.

bakerMichael E. “Mike” Baker of Tullahoma passed away on Saturday, March
19th at his home in Tullahoma. Mike was passionate about being outdoors
and he loved hunting and fishing with his Dad and close friends. His
years in the boy scouts gave him a love of camping, as well as helping
others. Mike was a friend and mentor to many of his employees after
spending 35 years in restaurant management. He never knew a stranger and
was very kind and loving towards people. He was preceded in death by his
only son, Donald “Bradley” Baker; and his father, Donald “Don” E. Baker.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Orr Baker; step-daughters,
Megan D. Orr and Kayla M. Ferguson and her husband Roger; step-son, Derek
D. Prince; his strong and loving mother, Jean Baker; sister Eileen
Scrivener and her husband Mitch; niece and nephew, Paige and Hunter
Scrivener; and one beautiful grandson, Roger W. Ferguson III. Visitation
will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
1:00-4:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00pm with
Rev. Paul Purdue officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers,

owensElton S. Owens, 97, of Tullahoma, passed away peacefully at her home
Sunday, March 20, 2016.

She was a member of Grundy Street Church of Christ in Tullahoma.

She worked at Camp Forrest, AT&T, and was a teacher and librarian at Moore
County High School.

Her passions were education and her grandchildren, whom she never tired of
caring for.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mitchell Owens; a sister,
Verna Lee Stewart; and by her parents, Charles Lee and Vivian Stewart.

She is survived by a son, Joseph S. Owens and wife Penny of Tullahoma;
daughter, Emiline Hutson and husband Marvin of Cleveland, TN; four
grandchildren, Christy Lucich and husband Dave of Murfreesboro, TN; John
Hutson and wife Lisa of Cane Ridge, TN; John Owens and wife Robyn of
Manchester; and Joshua Owens and wife Becky of Lynchburg, TN. Also
surviving are six great-grandchildren: Morgan and Kelsey Brantley, Sy
Owens; Mikey and Timothy Lucich; and Wyatt Owens.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home from
4PM to 7PM with the funeral following at 7PM.

Thomas Eugene “Tom” Coats, Jr. – age 70, a victim of lung
cancer, passed from his earthly life on Sunday, March 20, 2016, in
Nashville, TN, at Alive Hospice. He was born October 22, 1945, in Columbus, GA, to
Thomas Eugene Coats, Sr. and wife Flora Louise Moore who have both preceded him in
death. Tom, a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, was an Air Force Veteran and an electronics
technician by trade who enjoyed fishing and writing poetry. Tom was a member of the
Pelham United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter Mary Megan Benton & her husband Chris Benton of Pelham, TN;
Grandsons, Riley & Ryan Benton also of Pelham; Brother, Ronnie Gene Coats, Orlando,
FL; Sister, Mary Ann Hastings and her husband James Hastings of Antioch, TN;
Nieces, Theresa Wright of Antioch, TN, & Shallen Cropper of Louisville, KY;
Nephews, Michael Gurley of Huntsville, AL; Alex Coats of Atlanta, GA. &
Randy Coats of Philadelphia, PA. His memorial monument will be placed near his
grandmother Nora Lee (Hooper) Maze in Warren Cemetery in Pelham, TN. No
services are planned.

harmonFuneral services for Mr. Clayton Harmon, age 84, of Manchester, will be
conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Beechgrove
Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. John Vile officiating. Burial
will follow in Beechgrove Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with
the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening at
Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Harmon passed away Saturday evening at St.
Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Clayton was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Belford and
Margie Wilson Harmon. He served his country in the United States Army
and was a retired laborer at AEDC. He was a long-time member and
caretaker of the Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Clayton
loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Clayton was also preceded in death by 3
brothers and 2 sisters, and two sons, James Donnie Harmon and Rickey Dale
Harmon. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eunice Brandon
Harmon; brother, Madison Harmon; sister, Bobbie Harmon; one son, Jimmy
Clay (Marilyn) Harmon, all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Beth
Garrett of Memphis, Willie (Crystal) Harmon of Corpus Christi, TX, and
Brad and Bonnie Preston, both of Manchester; eight great-grandchildren,
Malorie, Taylor, Samuel, Ella, Hannah, Dickie Ray, Payten, and Jayden;
numerous nieces and nephews, including one special nephew, Johnny Stevie
Brandon.

Mrs. Bryce was a longtime member of
First Baptist Church of Manchester, since 1956. She was an avid seamstress,
loved to read, and was a faithful member of her church.

Mrs. Bryce passed away on Sunday,
March 20, 2016 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents,
Horace R.
and Belma M. Caddell; her loving husband, William E. Bryce; sons, William A.
Bryce, James R. Bryce; brother, Alfred Caddell. Survived by her son,
Robert R.
