ROBERT B. GEORGE
(September 11, 1932 – April 6, 2016)
Robert Brady George, age 83 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into
rest on April 6, 2016 at the Manchester Health Care Center. The most
amazing thing happened on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016. Robert Brady
George was reunited with his parents, Annie and DB; grandmother,
Darthula; sisters, Louanna and Imogene; brothers, Eucle, JD and Hubert; a
very special grandson (Nathan Allen Ray); and a host of angels, relatives
and friends nurtured by 83 years of living. It had been many years since
most had been together and the lull was long enough. From all accounts,
the reunion was beyond what mere words could describe. Tears of joy, hugs
and kisses, storytelling, thunderous laughter and a flood of emotions
were said to have filled the sacred halls. After several hours of
celebrating a beautiful life, the group was seen moving at the speed of
light into the heavens. Survivors are beyond the limit of numbers, but
include his sweetheart, his wife of 60 years, Bonnie; children – Bobbie
Ward (Jay), Janey Ray (Rick) , Stephen George (Michelle), Renee McGowen
(Terry); grandchildren – Daniel Ray (Jennifer), Stephen ‘Toot’ Ray
(Rose), Andrea Ray (Brent), Robert George (Susan), Stephanie George,
Hannah McGowen (Nate), Cameron McGowen; and great grandchildren – Lathan,
Mia, Remie, and Brody. The roots of this tree run deeper than names and
blood; deeper than bone or the limit of words to page. Blessings have a
way of multiplying; hearts, filling up until all we know is love. God is
good (all the time). Visitation was on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 5:00
p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Central Funeral Home . The funeral service was
conducted on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Funeral

4/9/16 — Patty Baker
On April 5th, 2016 at 4:26AM, Patricia “Patty” Baker, age 59, of Tullahoma entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. She ran straight into the arms of Jesus with a joyful shout and then immediately into the arms of her loved ones already there. When Patty was born with Down Syndrome on July 14th, 1956, her parents were told she would never walk or smile and that the “kindest thing” would be to put her in an institution. Patty not only walked but ran, danced, bowled, and swam; she not only smiled but laughed, giggled, teased, and sang! She enjoyed good food, thrill rides, scary movies, Christmas year ‘round, and so much more! Patty was active in Special Olympics for many years. Patty was able to have a full and meaningful life because of her parents, her church families, and the many people throughout the years that worked with her at Coffee County Skills Development, INC and the affiliated group home. If you want proof of angels on Earth, look there!
Even when Alzheimer’s stripped her of her memories, she remained faithful and loving. Patty had a great heart, a child-like faith, and an endless enthusiasm for life.
