4/23/16 — Ace Franklin White

flower 26Funeral services for Ace Franklin White, age 9, of Manchester, TN, will
be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Manchester
Funeral Home Chapel with Wetzel Seivers officiating. Burial will follow
in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Sparta, TN. Visitation with the family will be
from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
Ace passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Vanderbilt Children’s
Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Ace was born in Chattanooga, TN, the son of Harold Franklin White and
Rhonda Kaye Seivers. He was a student at Westwood Elementary School in
Manchester, TN. Ace loved hunting, fishing, four wheelers, and 4-wheel
drive trucks. He also loved playing on his XBOX, and talking to his
friends on his cell phone.

Ace was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Hill, Jr.; and his
paternal grandfather, Frank White. In addition to his parents, he is
survived by his twin sister, Abi Dawn White, siblings, Kayla Hill,
Brandon Hill, and Shawn Hindman, all of Manchester; maternal
grandparents, Ron Seivers of Wyoming and Brenda Doss of Manchester;
paternal grandmother, Judy White, of Manchester; great, grandfather, Rev.
Leo Smith of Winchester; one niece, Madelyn Shockley of Manchester;
several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his classmates and teachers at
Westwood Elementary School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a fund in
Ace’s name that is set up at Coffee County Bank, 2070 Hillsboro Blvd.,
Manchester, TN 37355.

flower vase 2On April 21, 2016 Mrs. Nannie Lou Holder age 74, of Tullahoma passed from this life at Tennova Medical Center Harton. Nannie was a kind hearted loving woman that lived her life for her family. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Bessie Lassiter (Bush). She survived by her son Ben Holder Jr.; daughter Sara Jane Bell; three grandsons; one granddaughter and several great nieces and nephews.

Morrison, Tennessee. Mr. Wix was a graduate of the FBI Academy;a retired TBI
Agent and faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Manchester, TN.
Mr. Wix was preceded in death by his parents, the late Belford Mayo Wix and
Mary Margaret Fincher Wix; and brothers, Michael Wix and Larry Wix. He is
survived by his loving wife, Jean Hamilton Wix of Morrison, TN; children,
Leigh A. Braswell (David) of Westmoreland, TN, Richard A. Wix (Gina) of
Westmoreland, TN, Tanja M. Kendrick (Naullain) of Manchester, TN and

flower 9Edward Lee Patton, age 74, passed away on April 18, 2016 at his home in
Manchester, Tennessee. Mr. Patton was a retired Truck Driver who enjoyed
boating, photography, writing poems and telling stories. He was a long time
donator to various children and veteran charities. He was a strong supporter
of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He was preceded in death by his
grandson, Bo McCormick; parents, the late Everett Patton and Inez Mullican
Patton. He is survived by his loving wife Deloris Ann Brown Patton of
Manchester, TN; children, Telisa McCormick of McMinnville, TN, Lorie Nunley
of Bowling Green, KY, Jenny Ford of Smithville, TN, Brett Merriman and Sammy
Merriman both of Manchester, TN; brother, Danny Patton of McMinnville, TN;

Betty Faye Phipps Wade, age 58 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into
eternal rest on April 17, 2016 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester.
Betty was preceded in death by her sons, Dylan Wade and Mark Shane Brown;
parents, Virgil Phipps and Inez Jones Phipps; and brothers, Hubert Phipps
and Jesse Lee Phipps. She was a strong believer in God and was a member of
the Bible Church in Manchester. She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby
J. Wade of Manchester, TN; children, Jennifer M. Corvin of Manchester, TN,
Sonya G. Wade of Alabama, Shawna B. Wade and Shawnda R. Wade both of
Manchester, TN; sister, Loretta Bohanan (William); brothers, Elbert Phipps

4/20/16 — William Clarence Garner

garnerMr. William Clarence Garner of Bells Cove near Pelham passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at his home. Mr. Garner was born in Decherd, a son of the late Oscar Sumner Garner and Lucinda Long Garner. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Luther Boyle Garner, Oscar Herman Garner, Roy Estill Garner, Redus and Reynolds Garner; sisters, Zula Mae Hill, Roberta Myers and Evelyn Garner.

Mr. Garner was an active member of the Church of Christ at Pelham and had been a farmer all of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Faye M. Garner; son, Dennis C. (Vickie) Garner of Pelham; Marcia Garner Rice (Richard) of Nashville; grandson, Matthew (Tonya) Garner; great-grandsons, Taylor Arce and Lane Clarence Garner; sister, Augusta Crownover of Decherd.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Minister Bob Winton and Minister Ray Winton will officiate. Burial will be in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Pelham. Pallbearers will be Matthew Garner, John Meeks, Carl Burnett, Robert Sitz, Mike Partin and Quinton Partin. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home.

Paul A. Martin, age 82 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into rest on
April 15, 2016 at the Manchester Health Care Center. Mr. Martin was retired
from the music production business with Sun Records where he served as
General Manager. He enjoyed fishing and cooking and attended the Hillsboro
United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James
Howard Martin and Mirtie Amanda Pack Martin; sisters, Juanita, Lily, Rubie
and Rosie; brothers, Clarence, George and James. He is survived by his
loving wife Nancy Patterson Martin of Manchester, TN; children, Brenda
Gabbard (John) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Debbie Weiner (Mike) of Saltlick, KY,
Drema Moreno (Dom) of Lexington, KY, Paul Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and
Rhonda Griffin (Larry) of Mt. Sterling, KY.; a delightful number of talented

John Kenneth Sherrill, age 64 of Beersheba Springs, Tennessee, passed away
on April 14, 2016. He owned and operated his own Pest Control Service. Born
in Tampa Bay, Florida, he was the son of Horace Anderson Sherrill and Lois
Wylene Sumner Sherrill McMahan. He will be fondly remembered as one who
loved his family, friends, his Sunday School Class, the Faithful Followers
and most of all, he loved his God. He is survived by his wife Tommye Argo
Sherrill of Beersheba Springs, TN; children, Angie Marisa Sherrill Duke
(John), Marney Talia Sherrill, John-Thomas Argo Sherrill (Katy Kupter
Sherrill); grandchildren, Scottie Duke and Chelsie Duke; siblings, Vernon

matlockWiley Matlock, age 80, of Winchester, Tenn. departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at STRHS Winchester.

Mr. Matlock was born on February 12, 1936, in Manchester, Tenn. to the late Auborn Matlock and Ruby Brown Matlock. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Matlock was retired from the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Matlock is survived by his wife of thirty years, Cora Matlock of Estill Springs, Tenn., sons; Danny Matlock and wife, Chana, Ronnie Matlock and wife, Cynthia all of Estill Springs, step-sons; Jerry Hitchcox and wife, Pat of Estill Springs, Ronald and Jack Hitchcox both of Winchester, Lamar Howard and wife, Joy of Belvidere, step-daughters; Peggy Walls and husband Ron of Estill Springs and Connie Bates of Shelbyville, grandchildren; Casey and Hailey Matlock of Estill Springs and great-granddaughter, Kaylee, brother, Bobby Matlock of Hillsboro, sister, Alberta Shelton of Florida, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

flower 9Brentice Maxwell Stewart, age 98 of Tullahoma, passed away Friday April 15, 2016 at Tennova Medical Center Harton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over sixty years and was a retired cosmetologist.
She was born June 5, 1917 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana to the late Daniel and Arma Smitherman Maxwell, she is also preceded in death by her husband Adriel M. Stewart; siblings Voree Robinson, Ardie Lee Gaines, Opal Huckabee, Otis Maxwell and Lloyl Maxwell.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her son Gary Stewart; daughter JoAnn Robertson; grandchildren Mary Stewart, Dan Stewart, Gary Stewart and Lori Mitchell; great grandchildren Eli Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell Paul Browning and Cortney Stewart.
The family will receive friends Sunday April 17, 2017 from One O’clock in the afternoon until Two O’clock in the afternoon at Tullahoma Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at Two O’clock with the Rev. Paul Perdue officiating.
