5/4/16 — Harry Foy Brooks

flower4Harry Foy Brooks Jr, age 82, of Tullahoma passed this life on Wednesday,
May 4, 2016 at his residence. No services are scheduled.

Mr. Brooks, a native of Chattanooga, was the son of the late Harry F and
Margaret Hisey Brooks. He was a U S Army veteran and a member of Highland
Baptist Church. He was an Instrument Technician at AERO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill
Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Brooks of Tullahoma; one son, David Brooks
and his wife, Leda of Lynchburg; two daughters, Renee Oakley and her
husband, Jim of Tullahoma and Jan Jewett of Las Vegas, NV; one sister,
Susanne Justin of Nashville; one grandchild, Codey Brooks of Manchester and
one great grandchild, Weston Brooks.

brastonDouglas Kirk Braston, age 60, of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday,

May 3, 2016 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Funeral Services are

scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Church of Christ at Cedar

Lane at 2 PM with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with

the family will be from 1 PM until the service time.

Mr. Braston, a native of Tullahoma, was the son of the late William H.

Braston Sr. and the late Marion Moore Braston. Doug was an athlete at

West Middle and Tullahoma High School loving the game of basketball. He

was a member of the Church of Christ at Cedar Lane and enjoyed

spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going to the lake and

playing cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother,
William

H. Braston Jr.

Mr. Braston is survived by; two sons, Timothy Peterson of Tullahoma and

Douglas Braston Jr of McMinnville; two daughters, Topeka Kennerly and

Latonya Allgood, both of Winchester; four brothers, Robert Braston

(Vorketta) of Tullahoma, Jerry Braston ( Maxine) of McMinnville, Russell

Braston( Maxine) of Tullahoma, Harry Ray Braston (Sylvia) of

Tullahoma; four sisters, Ruby Nell Braston of Madisonville, KY, Mattie

Braston Hancock ( David) of Decatur, GA, Rita Braston of Tullahoma and

Leeann Braston of Decatur, GA; two grandchildren, Isaiah Kennerly and

Robert “R J” Allgood -­ Bynum; A devoted, Paula Anita Childress of

Tullahoma and good friend, Eddie Gray of Tullahoma.

5/6/16 — Rebecca (Becky) Stauffer Richcreek

Rebecca (Becky) Stauffer Richcreek of Manchester, TN, passed away on May 2,
2016, at her home, with her family by her side, following a three year
battle with breast cancer. Becky was born in Bellefonte, PA on August 4,
1962. She is survived by her husband, Robert Richcreek, whom she married
on August 13, 2010, two children, David Stauffer (Tina Yu) of State College
and Neale Stauffer (Mindy Yingling) of Murfreesboro, TN, three step sons,
Von Richcreek (Norma Jean) of Smyrna, TN, J.R. Fieldler and Andy Fieldler
of Aurora CO, three granddaughters, Corri Stauffer of Cennential, CO,
Elizabeth Richcreek and Alexa Richcreek of Smyrna, TN, and one grandson,
Gage Stauffer of Victor, CO. She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn
Stauffer of State College, PA, Grandmother, Betty Neale of Corinth, MS,
four sisters, Lory Fullington (Mike) of State College, PA, Nancy Stauffer
(Robert Cuellar) of Reno, NV, Tammy Holtzinger (Ken) of Logansport, IN, and
Kelly Davis (Michael) of Minneapolis, MN. Also surviving are her niece’s
Jamie Perryman, Stephanie Garvey, Cassandra Fullington, Savannah Davis and
Sarah Davis, and nephew’s, Michael Fullington, Matthew Fullington, John
Accordino, and Dominic Accordino. She was preceded in death by her father
Edward Stauffer of State College, PA.

Becky was a 1980 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She joined the
Army in 1981 and rose to the rank of Sargeant, and served in the Gulf War.
She was employed as a dietician and cook for NHC Assisted Living Facility
in Tullahoma, TN.

Becky was an avid reader, loved lions, needle point, knitting, Sudoku and
puzzles. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but mostly, she loved
spending time with her loved ones. She loved her husband Bob, whether he
was making her laugh with his sense of humor or showing his compassionate
side as he wrote and sang his songs to her.

Becky’s love for her family and friends will live on in all of us that
knew
her. We will see her again someday on the other side of the moon.

Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 105
Church Street, Manchester, TN at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016.

Buddy served his country in the United States Army. He was a great singer and loved to sing karaoke.

5/5/16 — Virginia Ayre Galigher

galigherOn May 2, 2016 Virginia Ayre Galigher passed away after a lengthy illness at LifeCare Nursing Facility in Tullahoma, TN. Mrs. Galigher was born September 2nd in Champaign, IL in 1937, where she graduated from Champaign High School in 1955. Mrs. Galigher has been a resident of Tullahoma for 57 years. She moved to Tullahoma in 1959 when her former husband, Lawrence Galigher began working at Arnold Engineering Development Center. She enjoyed doll collecting, crafting, playing marbles and watching classic movies. Spending time with her family and friends was always a top priority. She defied the odds numerous times being given only days to live but with God’s grace her family and friends were allowed to make miraculous memories with her in her last weeks. One of her great joys was being a member of Highland Baptist Church. Virginia truly was a sweet soul that always had a smile to give away. She was beloved by all and will be deeply missed. Laughter through tears is wondrous and has been one of Virginia’s and her family’s favorite emotion.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick C. and Ruth (Bensyl) Ayre and a Brother Stanley Ayre. She survived by many loving relatives, Son Mike (Judy) Galigher of Tullahoma and Daughter Carrie (Glenn) Newton of Tullahoma; Grandchildren (6) Ashley Galigher of Tullahoma, Joshua (Sarah) Galigher, Jeremy Galigher, Hilary Galigher all of Niceville, FL,
Spenser Newton and Andrew Newton of Tullahoma and Great Granddaughters (2) Harper and Blakely.

swinfordOn May 1st, 2016 Dorothy Swinford age 90, of Tullahoma, TN entered into rest at Tennova Healthcare Harton Hospital. Dorothy was an amazing mother and the best grandmother you could ever imagine from the grand to the great- great grandchildren. She was a wonderful role model because of her willingness to work hard and play hard attitude. Her sense of humor was joyful and witty for anyone that knew her. She could make the whole room burst out with laughter. One of Dorothy’s greatest passions was gardening and hers was always beautiful.
She is preceded in death by her parents Acie and Myra Bain (Turner); Children Johnny E. Swinford, Malcom E. Swinford and Martha K. Partin; Grandchildren Courtney Swinford and Angela Woessner; Great Grandchild Hayden Gage West; 3 Sisters and 1 Brother.

30, 2016 at Good Samaritan Health & Rehab in Antioch. Memorial Services
will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until the service
time.

Teresa, a native of Grand Rapids, MI, was the daughter of the late Roman T.
and Vivian Czachorski Pobojewski. She was an International Banker, managing
many accounts for large international companies and also worked as a legal
secretary. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Her
favorite color was purple and her family has requested anyone attending the
memorial service to please wear something purple.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one sister, Susan
Pobojewski.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Ford of Antioch; one daughter, Kayte
Murphy and her husband, Vince of Tampa, FL and three sisters, Cindi Nee and
her husband, Kevin of Baton Rouge, LA, Betsi Bearden and her husband,

Thursday April 28, 2016 at St. Thomas Rutherford. Ronnie was a loving father
and grandfather. He enjoyed watching wrestling, fishing, gardening and doing
all things outdoors. Ronnie’s favorite scripture came from Proverbs
3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he
shall direct thy paths. He is preceded in death by his parents James and
Grace Nippers.

He is survived by his four children Nora Haseltine, Ronnie
A. Nippers Jr., Donna Elkins, and Jennifer Presley; nine grandchildren;
seven
siblings Beatrice, Carol, Jim, Dorothy, Mildred, Rachel and Sarah; several
nieces and nephews, many cousins and many friends.

The family will receive friends Monday May 2nd,
2016 from eleven O’clock in the morning until twelve O’clock in the
afternoon

flower 11Mrs. Willie Mae Payne Northcutt ,age 94, of Pelham passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Manchester Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stanley Northcutt; parents, Will and Thursa Hamby Payne; 3 sisters, Goldie Johnson, Damie Wimberley and Florence Trussell; brother, Johnny Payne.

Her favorite pastime was planting and working in her garden and quilting.

Survivors include her sons, Benson (Nadine) Northcutt, Earl (Donna Jean) Northcutt, and Freddie (Darlene) Northcutt; grandchildren, Cheryl (Michael) Rogers, Robby Northcutt, Sherry (Anthony) Harshman,David (Sandra) Northcutt, Marty Northcutt, Mike (Cindy) Northcutt, Tammy (Andy) Banks, Stan Northcutt, Carla (Kurt) Glick, Darla (Grant) Hill, Chris Northcutt, Maeghan Northcutt; 20 great grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 step-great-great grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ronnie Trussell and Reverend Brett Meeks officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery.
