7/30/16 — Terry Wayne Brawley

flower 15Terry Wayne Brawley, age 68 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on July 24, 2016. He was a beloved brother, loving son, uncle, great-uncle, Navy veteran, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Terry played fullback for the Red Raiders at Coffee County Central High School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. After college, Terry completed Navy Aviation Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Navy Ensign. He was selected for and completed pilot training and was designated as a naval aviator. Terry completed advanced flight training in the P-3 Orion and was assigned to Patrol Squadron 49 (VP-49) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. He deployed with VP-49 to Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland and Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily and completed six years of naval service. While in the Navy, Terry earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville University. He later enrolled in law school at the University of Memphis. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, the late JD Brawley and Vera Jean Brawley. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Patra B. Temple (Charles) of Collierville, TN, Robert L. Brawley, MD (Martha) of Columbus, OH, Deborah B. Lovely of Cordova, TN, Melinda B. Khazeh (Kashi) of Salisbury, MD and Greg M. Brawley (Darci) of Newport Beach, CA; nine nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

7/30/16 — Monica Gisela Pross

prossMonica Gisela Pross of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, July
26th, 2016 at NHC Tullahoma at the age of 52. Ms. Pross was born in
Tullahoma to Erwin Walter and Gisela Bylsma Pross who survive. In
addition to her parents, she is survived by three daughters, Cindy, Emily
and Hannah Smith; two grandchildren, Brayden and Allison; one brother,
Christian Walter Pross and his wife Stacy of Tullahoma and their
children, Tyler and Courtney Pross. Visitation for Ms. Pross will be held
on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm
with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Marty
Nutter officiating. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family

7/30/16 — Betty Jean Bush

flower 14Betty Jean Bush, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away on Sunday, July
24, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Bush
was 81 years old. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 30 at 3
PM at Mt Zion Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation with the family will be
from 10 AM until 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bush was the daughter of the late Ike and Margaret Merle Beard. She
enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and going for long rides in the
country. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. Mrs. Bush had worked in the Meat Department at
Powers Market in Manchester for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby
Gordon Bush; one son, Steven Bush; six brothers, Ike Jr., Roy, Harold,
Thomas, Burt and Frank Beard and two sisters, Margaret Ragland and Bea
Boyce.

She is survived by two sons, Barry A. Bush and his wife, Melissa of
Hillsboro and Ken Bush and his wife, Tammy of Tullahoma; two daughters,
Laura Matlock of Bell Buckle and Ramona Bush of Manchester; five
grandchildren, Darla Dodson and her husband, Terrence of Manchester, Dana
Wrisner and her husband, Matt of Hillsboro, Kyle and Blake Bush, both of
Hillsboro and Jeremy Freeze of Manchester; five great grandchildren and
many nieces and nephews.

7/27/16 — Steve Roberts

robertsGEORGE STEPHEN “STEVE” ROBERTS, age 64, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, July 24, at Life Care Center in Tullahoma following an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born in Winchester, Tenn. on April 29 1952, to the late Martin and Elma Hinshaw Roberts. He was a graduate of Huntland High School. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Estill Springs. He was employed as a superintendent for over thirty years for Long Foundation Drilling. He loved the outdoors. Mr. Roberts hobbies were collecting rocks, and going to Flea Markets. He was a loving and wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, and cousin.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Roberts. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Lora Roberts of Estill Springs, daughters; Jennifer Roberts of Winchester, Marisa Roberts of Tullahoma, son, Gentry Roberts of Shelbyville, Tenn., 7-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, July 26, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 27, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Randy Jackson, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Cemetery in Belvidere.

7/28/16 — Mary Nell Uselton

useltonMary Nell Uselton, 82, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on Monday,
July 25, 2016 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services are
scheduled for Thursday, July 28, at 1 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July
27 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Nashville, Mrs. Uselton was the daughter of the late Lee Roy
and Mary Ruth Beamer Tyler. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in
Manchester and had worked many years as a Baker in the Cafeteria at AEDC.
She
was a “homemaker” who enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking and cake
decorating. She
was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Her favorite activity was spending
time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Robert Eldon Uselton, one son, William Joseph Uselton and one sister,
Frances LeMaire.

Mrs. Uselton is survived by three sons, Robert Lee Uselton of Nashville,
David Wayne Uselton and his wife, Rhonda of Tullahoma and Thomas Melvin
Uselton and his wife, Tammy of Tullahoma; two daughters, Carol Ruth Uselton
of Greenbrier. TN and Linda Gail Slater and her husband, Steve of
Greenbrier, TN; one sister Beatrice Faye Rosson of Nashville; sixteen
grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren plus one on the way; one great
great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and good friends, Betty,
Renata and Mildred.

7/24/16 — Willard Smith Bacon

Willard-Will-Bacon-1469194595Willard “Will” Smith Bacon, age 80 of Manchester, passed away Thursday,
July 21, 2016 at his residence. Memorial Services were held Sunday, July
24 at First Presbyterterian Church of Manchester.

A native of Oil City, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred S. and
Marguerite Smith Bacon. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of
Manchester. He had a Masters Degree in Engineering and worked for 32 years
at AEDC. He was also an Archaeologist and was involved with the University
of TN archaeology work done prior to the construction of Tims Ford and
Normandy Lakes. He was awarded the Tennessee Archaeolgical Society
Outstanding Member Award, the Tennessee Council for Archaeology Lifetime
Achievement Award and the State of Tennessee Award of Merit.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two
sisters.

Mr. Bacon is survived by his wife, Mary Bacon of Manchester; five brothers,
Michael Bacon of New London, Missouri, Marc Bacon and his wife, Donna of
Royse City, Texas, James Kiser of Tullahoma. Jon Kiser and his wife, Gina
of Kingsport and Patrick Kiser and his wife, Kathy of Baldwin, Missouri;
one daughter, Amy Bush and her husband, Jeff of New London, Missouri; nine
grandchildren, Casandra Bacon Boyd and her husband, Ken of Tullahoma,
Steward Bush and his wife, Sarah of Hannibal, Missouri, Tyler Bush of New
London, Missouri, Jessica Bush Aggers and her husband, Karl of New London,
Missouri, Jessica Hill and her husband, Brad of Franklin, TN, Matthew Kiser
and Holly Kiser, both of Tullahoma and Claire Kiser and Sophia Kiser, both
of Kingsport and three great grandchildren, Sophia Aggers and Pippa Hill.

spencerDavid Richard Spencer Sr, 65, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on
Sunday, July 24 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Graveside
services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 27 at 10 AM at Fredonia Cemetery
in Manchester. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 26 from 5

8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Tullahoma, Mr. Spencer was the son of the late Leslie Leon
Spencer Jr and the late Shirley Dishman Spencer. He was a supervisor at
Custom Frames in Tullahoma where he worked for many years. He enjoyed
tinkering and repairing used lawn equipment. His favorite pastime was
being with his family and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Gentry Spencer of Tullahoma; seven
children, Leslie Groce and her husband Waid, Niki McGehee and her husband,
Mike, David Spencer and his wife, Selena, Crystal Tipps, Kim Smith and her
husband, Barry, Patti Skipper and her husband, Michael and Tina Newlin and
her husband, Kyle; one sister, Carolyn Adams and her husband, Raymond; one
brother, Claude Spencer and his wife, Pat; sixteen grandchildren, Alexis
and Dalton Cook, Brandi and Chris McGehee, Paige and Lexie Spencer, Tyler,
Taylor and Torey Ocheltree, Spencer Springer, Ryan, Connor, Blake and
Ashley Smith, Haleigh Skipper and Cara Newlin and one great grandchild,
Graeson McGehee.

7/30/16 — Linda Sue Kennedy Clements

flower 16Memorial service for Ms. Linda Sue Kennedy Clements, age 67 of Manchester, will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM at New Union Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Owen officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at the church prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Ms. Clements passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Unity Medical Center.

She was a member of New Union Baptist Church. This amazing, godly, funny, smart, loving, caring, silly, sweet, beautiful woman is walking with Jesus in heaven.  Linda will be remembered as someone who devoted her time and energy as a homemaker and caregiver for her family. She will be missed dearly.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Mary Kennedy. flower 7Memorial services for Michael Douglas Davidson, age 67 of Manchester will
be conducted at 7pm, Tuesday, July 26 at the Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating. Visitation with the family
will be Tuesday, July 26 from 5pm until 7pm at Manchester Funeral Home.
Mr. Davidson passed this life Saturday, July 23 at the Centennial Medical
in Nashville.

Mr. Davidson was born in Nashville, Tennessee the son of the late Douglas
and Mary Alice Shockney Davidson Cordeiro. He was a self employed Carpet
Cleaner and attended the Canvas Community Church. Michael loved to
travel and was the #1 car salesman of the year in Tennessee while working
for Neil Sandler. He loved watching movies with his son Michael and
while growing up he relished fighting with his sisters Barbara & Karen.
