Arthur Joseph Mantone

Mr. Arthur Joseph Mantone, age 104, of Manchester,
TN, passed this life on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence. Mr.
Mantone was born June 28, 1917 in Manhattan, NY to his late parents
Giuseppe and Dominica Mantone of Liveri, Italy.
Mr. Mantone was raised in Ellenville, NY where he remained until the later
years of his retirement. He was a member of the United States Army Air
Corps during WWII. After his service to our country he continued to serve
his country and community as an FBI Agent, Financial Accountant/Advisor,
and a New York police officer until his retirement. Mr. Mantone was a
family man and a world traveler. He lived through our country’s richest
history from the First World War to the current pandemic. He offered so
much knowledge and wisdom, but his favorite thing to share were the stories
and memories of his late wife of 77 years Lillian. Mr. Mantone is preceded
in death by his parents Giuseppe and Dominica Mantone. His loving wife
Lillian Mantone. 1 son Art Mantone II. His granddaughter-in-Law Beth
Mantone and his great granddaughter Ashley Mantone. He is survived by his
Daughter-in-law Pamela Mantone of Athens, AL. 2 sons, Joe (Carol) Mantone
of Venice, Fl and Walt (Candy) Mantone of Maui, HI. Grand Daughter and
Caregiver Anjanette (David) West (Manchester, TN). 7 other beloved
grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, 13 great great grand grandchildren,
and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Fred McClaran

Fred McClaran, age 85, passed into eternal rest at St. Thomas Rutherford on
Wednesday, December 29, 2021.  Fred was born in Williamson County and spent
most of his childhood growing up in Cookeville and then moved to Warren
County where he married the love of his life, Diane Fields on June 20, 1964
and started a wonderful journey together.  Fred and Diane had a beautiful
daughter and two special daughters and many other foster children.  He was
known for nicknaming those of which he was especially was fond.

Fred was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with
the men of Grace.  He retired from Powermatic after almost 40 years and was
a member of the United States Army, serving his country with the National
Guard for 9 years.  Fred loved nature, beautiful flowers, and to hunt and
trap animals.  He also loved raising chickens and listening to the rooster
crow.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lottie McClaran;
four brothers, Ewen, Bill, Alvie and Quentin McClaran; two sisters, Imogene
Welch and Bobbie Atkins.

He is survived by his wife of 57 and a half years, Diane; daughter, Sherry
(David ) Cathey, whom he adored; grandchildren and great grandchildren,
whom he always had to get hugs from when they arrived and that he loved
dearly, Bethany (Marc) Wilson, Kyler and Mason, Amy Busic, Keeli, Zoey and
Presley, Michael Breeding, Laiken and Raiden; brothers, Mart McClaran, Joe
(Sue) McClaran; sisters, Maxine Hill, Sally (Walt) Syes; sisters-in-law,
Holly McClaran, Shirley McClaran; special daughters, Rachel Ferguson,
Dianna Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 1:00pm
at Grace Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. Burial will follow at Mt. View
Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, there will
be no public visitation to be held. The family appreciates all of your
thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Frederick Keith Stacy

Frederick Keith Stacy, 71, of Manchester, Tennessee, died December 23,
2021. Born February 26, 1950, Fred graduated from Manchester Central High
School in 1969. He was involved in the Tennessee Walking Horse industry for
many years and worked as a salesman. He is survived by his sister, Barbara
Stacy of Phoenix, AZ, sons, Brian Stacy (Alison) of Manchester, TN, and
Brent Stacy of Huntsville, AL, a granddaughter, Savannah Kramer of
Indianapolis, IN, and a grandson, Byron Bass, of Murfreesboro, TN, along
with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara
Worley Stacy, parents, Morgan Stacy and Erma Howland Stacy, brothers Ralph
Stacy, Earl Stacy, Marvin Stacy, and sister Geraldine Stacy Vanhees. A
graveside service will be held at the Gilley Hill Cemetery in Bradyville,
TN, on January 2, 2022 at 2:00pm. If you wish to make a donation in memory

Dorothy Christine Thompson

Dorothy Christine Thompson of Estill Springs, formerly of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving daughters at the age of 89. Ms. Thompson was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margie Todd Crowell of Lincoln County. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Blevins and Mattie Jean Armstrong; and one son, James Rickey Smith. She is survived by one sister, Mary Francis Rodriguez of Indiana; one brother, George Crowell of Tullahoma; four daughters, Brenda Coble of Tullahoma; Diane Smith of Estill Springs; Thersia Frazier of Estill Springs; and Rita Kelley of Estill Springs; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; each and every one of them knew and loved her dearly. Mrs. Thompson was an employee of Wilson Sporting Goods until her retirement, where she worked as a former ball-sewer and inspector. Before Wilsons, she was the owner and operator of Goyette’s Restaurant, and The Waffle Shop in the alley in Tullahoma. As a young lady, Dorothy loved to sing in her own band, which would play on the square in Tullahoma, and on the local radio station. Later in life she loved to karaoke with friends and family. She had a true love for music and the voice of an angel. She left a legacy of love of music to her children, grandchildren, and beyond. She was a long-time member of the Baptist faith, and was baptized in 1961. Visitation for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Barry Haley officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Chris Kelley, Chad Weddington, Brandon Wrisner, Patrick Landers, Jay Callaway, and Thomas Wright serving as pallbearers. Linwood Gilbert

Linwood Gilbert of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Life Care Center of Tullahoma at the age of 64. Graveside Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Gilbert was the son of the late Odis and Marie Leech Gilbert.  He was an avid TN Vols football fan and also enjoyed fishing.

James Herbert “Jim” Brewer

James Herbert “Jim” Brewer age 92 passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home. Born January 21, 1929 in Wayne County, TN to the late Charlie and Merle Reaves Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn White Brewer, and grandson Kyle Brewer. Jim is survived by three sons, David Mark Brewer (Lisa) of Greeneville, TN, Timothy Leigh Brewer (Donna) of Tullahoma, and James Dwight Brewer (Mary) of Southport, FL; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Jim retired from Calspan Corp. as an engineer, having worked at the Arnold Engineering Development Center from 1959 to 1991. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Class of 1958. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951, serving in Germany from 1951-1953. He then entered the Air Force Reserve after leaving active service in 1953. His service in the Reserve included a 17 month recall to active duty in 1968 during which he served in South Korea as a Communications Officer. Jim retired in 1989 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a long-time member of the Grundy Street Church of Christ in Tullahoma where he served as a Deacon and as Treasurer for a number of years. He was also a member of the Tullahoma Lions Club for many years, and held several offices including Club President. Visitation for Mr. Brewer will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 12:00-2:00pm at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Phillip Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Don Waylon Owens

Don Waylon Owens, age 46 of Tullahoma, passed this life Monday, December
20, 2021.  He was born July 21, 1975 in Fayetteville TN and loved fishing,
kayaking, yardwork, cars and motorcycles. Don saved several lives by
donating his organs so others can have a Merry Christmas. He is preceded in
death by his father, Ricky Owens and mother, Pamela Gardner.

The family will have a memorial gathering from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, December
30th at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Don is survived by his wife, April Owens; sons, John Robert Owens and Jesse
Don Waylon Owens; daughters, Bethany Butner, Stephanie Bryson, Kristen
Williams, Jessica Gann and Sessili Owens; brothers, Dustin McCool, Ryan
Gardner and Jimmy Banks; sisters, Jennifer Whitsett, Kimberley Norton,
Kelly Shelton, Lindy Banks and Amy Horton; ten grandchildren and a host of
nephews and nieces.

Eugene R. Lomker

Eugene R. Lomker passed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the age
of 77. Memorial Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Gene, a native of Hastings, Minnesota, was the son of the late Robert and
Alice Chapman Lomker. He was a U S Air Force veteran and enjoyed gardening,
working in his yard and riding his scooter.  He enjoyed watching movies on
TV, especially Science Fiction movies.  He also loved his cat “Baby” who
recently passed away.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Michael
Lomker; brothers, Harold and Philip Lomker and sisters, Sandra Strunk and
Sharon Holmes.

He is survived by his son, Mark Lomker (Letrisha) of Tullahoma; the mother
of his children, Barbara Lomker of Florida; twin brother, Jerry Lomker
(Dottie) of Ohio; brother, Bruce Lomker of Minnesota and five grandchildren.

Susan Stone Webb

Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Stone Webb, age 59 of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the funeral home.  Mrs. Webb passed from this life on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN.

Susan was born in Shreveport, LA on April 16, 1962, the daughter of the late Tom and Carolyn Stone.  She was quick witted and loved making people laugh.  Susan loved flowers, music, and the Titan’s, but her true love was for her animals.  She was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Carolyn Stone.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Randy Webb; brother, Shane Stone; sister, Cynthia Thompson; step-mom, Annette Stone; a host of friends.

Louise Hendrix

Louise Hendrix, age 88, born September 1933 in Marks, Mississippi, passed away December 10, 2021.  Louise attended University of Tennessee, Memphis where she met her husband, Dr. Ernest Hendrix.  She dedicated her later years to her many grandchildren and worked in home healthcare. She is survived by her three children: Marybeth Starr, Joanne Dunn, and Ernest Hendrix, Jr. Louise was preceded in death by her son, Paul W. Brooks Hendrix, and ex-husband, Ernest Hendrix, Sr. She was well-known for her big smile, twinkling blue eyes, and stylish outfits. The family will celebrate her life privately, no service will be held.
