1/19/17 — Brian Martin Hoyne

Brian Martin Hoyne, a resident of Tullahoma, TN passed away on Saturday,
January 14, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 40 years.
Memorial Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 6 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5 PM.
A native of Tullahoma, he was the son of Michael A and Rima Martin Hoyne of
Tullahoma. He was a 1994 graduate of Tullahoma High School. Brian was a
self taught musician and was able to play drums, guitar and keyboard. After
graduation, he moved to Seattle where he was a member of the Terror Sheets
Band. He later became a Chef. He relocated back to Tullahoma in 2014 and
began working for London’s in Tullahoma. Brian enjoyed music and cooking
and was an avid reader. He also loved outdoor activities including hiking,
biking and camping.
Brian was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond Hoyne and Norman and
Mary Ruth Martin.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandmother, Elaine Hoyne of
Tucson, AZ; brother, Chad Hoyne and his wife, Tiffany of Manchester; aunt,
Lisa Rempe of Tucson, AZ; aunt and uncle, Michael Martin and his wife,
Hilda of Tullahoma; nephew, Connor Hoyne and special work friends at
London’s.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his honor to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

1/16/17 — Virgie May Southcutt

Virgie May Southcutt, a resident of Decherd, TN passed away on Friday,
January 13, 2017 at her residence at the age of 55 years. Funeral Services
are scheduled for Monday, January 16 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with Bro. Ricky Taylor officiating. Visitation with the family will
be from 12 PM until the service time.

A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Victor Steele
and Mary Bradford Steele of Winchester, who survives. She was also preceded
in death by her husband, Charles Southcutt. She enjoyed spending time with
her family and especially playing card games with her grandchildren. She
also enjoyed working in her yard.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Melissa
Troutt, Elizabeth Moore and her husband, Jason and Loretta Dresback and her
husband, Matthew, all of Decherd; son, Tommy Preavette of Winchester; three
brothers, Monroe Steele and his wife, Kelly of Tullahoma, Ricky Steele of
Winchester and Larry Steele and his wife, Doris of Winchester; three
sisters, Connie Steele, Lisa Wiseman and her husband, Jimmy and Marie
Steele, all of Winchester; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild and many
nieces and nephews.

1/16/17–Brenda Gail Bennett

Brenda Gail Bennett, a resident of Tullahoma, passed away Wednesday,
January 11, 2017 at her residence, at the age of 59 years. A Celebration
of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11 AM
at the First Assembly of God Church, 1105 W Lincoln St, Tullahoma, TN.
Visitation
with the family will be after the service in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Brenda was born on August 10, 1957 in Frankfort, Germany. She was the
daughter of Aaron Bennett of Tullahoma and the late Julie Swinford Bennett.
Brenda was the church secretary at the First Assembly of God where she was
very active. She loved her church family and taught Bible Study for many
years. She enjoyed reading and playing word games. She was very interested
in world politics and events and enjoyed studying history. She had a
special interest in England’s Royal Family. She also loved Star Trek.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony
Bennett.

Brenda is survived by her father, Aaron Bennett of Tullahoma and many
cousins and friends.

1/14/17–Victoria Artisha Brady

Ms. Victoria Artisha Brady, age 33, of Manchester, Tennessee, past from this life at her home on January 10, 2017. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 14 from 5-6 PM with Memorial Service to follow at Manchester Funeral Home.

1/14/17–Billy Frank Crosslin

Billy Frank Crosslin was born July 30, 1945, to the late Hollis Steven
and Clara Wilhelm Crosslin of Manchester, Tennessee. He was also preceded
in death by a brother, Charles Hollis Crosslin. Billy was married to his
loving and devoted wife, Janice Lynn McIntosh Crosslin of Hillsboro,
Tennessee. Billy was an engineer with the Tennessee Valley Authority
before retirement. He is also survived by a son, Mark A. Crosslin
(William J. Hittson) of Dallas, Texas, and two brothers, James Michael
Crosslin (Janie) and Kenneth Ray Crosslin (Rosie).

1/13/17–Carla Jean Doak

Carla Jean Doak was born February 10, 1948, to the late Hugh and Judy
Clayona Ware Doak of McMinnville, Tennessee. She was also preceded in
death by a brother, David Lusk. Carla was a member of the Forrest Mill
Baptist Church of Manchester. She is survived by a daughter, E. Renee’
Hancock (Greg) of Viola, Tennessee, and a son, Randy Seals (Leah) of
Troutman, North Carolina, seven grandchildren; Ryne Seals of Emporia, KS,
Kendall Seals (Chrissy) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Emily Seals of
Troutman, North Carolina, Kody Hancock, Chase Hancock, Merritt Hancock,
and Eli Hancock all of Viola, Tennessee, two sisters; Dinky Doak of
McMinnville, Tennessee and Deborah Lusk of Manchester, Tennessee, a
brother; Mike Doak of Manchester, Tennessee.

1/13/17 — Virginia L. Riddle

Virginia L Riddle, a longtime resident of Tullahoma, passed away on
Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Manchester Health Care Center at the age
of 81 years. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, January 13, 2017
at 11 AM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. David Wall
officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with
the family will be Thursday, January 12 from 5 – 8 PM.

A native of Coffee County, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Mary
Sanders. She lived for many years in the Center Grove Community of
Tullahoma. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Raphael Riddle; brothers, Charlie, Buford and Ralph Sanders and sisters,
Sue Liles, Velma Powell, Louise Street and Jean Smith.

Mrs. Riddle is survived by her son, Michael Riddle of Manchester;
daughter-in-law, Candace Riddle of Manchester; granddaughter, Kayla Riddle
and two great grandchildren, Aleigha Riddle and Angel Slover.

1/12/17—Gary Bruce Sisk

Sisk, Gary Bruce, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, January 9th,
2017 at his home at the age of 65. Bruce was born in Winchester to the
late Joe and Helen Clark Sisk and graduated from Franklin County High
School in 1970. He was known as “Pa,” not only to his grandchildren, but
to young and old alike. Bruce loved his family, especially his
grandchildren. He worked as a machinist and supervisor with Cleveland
Pneumatic and was an avid UT fan. Bruce was also on the startup crew at
Hillsdale Tool in Manchester and was a member of the Tullahoma American
Legion. He loved raising coon hounds and coon hunting before becoming
disabled. Bruce gave his life to Christ at a young age and was a member
of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mike Nix; and sister, Jo Ann
Dotson. Bruce is survived by his wife, Linda Sisk of Tullahoma; four
daughters, Susie Rambo and her husband Mark of Tullahoma, Stacey Nix of
Tullahoma, and Helen Ann and Dixie (whereabouts unknown); one brother,
Wayne Sisk and his wife Patsy of Winchester; grandchildren, Colton, Carly
and Caroline Nix, and Maggie and Abbie Rambo; his in-laws, Bill and Ruby
Hobbs; and his beloved dog, Gizzy. Visitation for Mr. Sisk will be held
on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
5:00-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12th, 2017
at 1:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Rash
officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma.

1/11/17 — Helen Jeanette Hussey

Helen Jeanette Hussey was born February 8, 1944, in Manchester, Tennessee. She was married to the late George Leslie Hussey. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leonard Elroy Hussey. Helen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen is survived by a daughter; Sherry R. Lynch (Jimmy) of Manchester, Tennessee, and two sons; Scotty R. Hussey and Devon L. Hussey, both of Manchester, six grandchildren; Dakota S. Hussey, Johnathon L. Hussey, Dominique A. Hussey, McKeleigh S. Hussey, Daimen S. Hussey, and Zaila Z. Hussey, one great-grandchild; Arianna M. Muncey, a sister; Patricia Todd, and a brother; Elroy Poff. Helen passed away January 7, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family

1/11/17-Daniel Wayne Jernigan

Funeral services for Daniel Wayne “Danny” Jernigan, age 61 of Manchester will be conducted at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 11 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Parker Hill Cemetery in Cannon County. Visitation with the Jernigan family will be Tuesday, 5pm until 9pm at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Jernigan passed this life Saturday in Manchester.

Danny was born in Manchester, Tennessee the son of the late Robert A. Jernigan and Mary E. Lusk Jernigan Miller. He was retired from the Smurfitt Stone and Container Corporaton and was a member of the New Union Church of Christ. Danny enjoyed “flipping houses’, working puzzles, playing chess and was an auctioneer. He also retired from the Coffee County School Bus service, was a real estate agent and coached baseball as his sons were growing up. In addition to his father and mother, Danny was also preceded in death by his step father who raised him, William Miller, by a brother, Robert Eugene Jernigan and by 3 sisters, Wanda Faye Jernigan, Carol Ann Jernigan and Charlotte Elaine Jernigan.
