1/31/17 — Jo Ann Williams Robertson

Jo Ann Robertson went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2017. She was at home surrounded by her loving family as she left this earthly world. Jo Ann was born on June 2, 1939 at home to Joe Bailey Williams and Lillian Daphne (Totsie) Knight Williams in the New Hope Community in Tarrant County Texas. She and Morris (Mo) Rentz Robertson Sr. married November 28, 1956 and celebrated over 60 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sibling Jack Bailey Williams. Jo Ann, also known as Grannie Jo, lived a beautiful life of service for her family and others. She is survived by her husband Morris R. Robertson. Sr. and four children – sons Morris R. Robertson, Jr. Manchester, Tennessee, Douglas E. Robertson Marlin,Texas, Alex S. Robertson (Kelli) Manchester, Tennessee, and daughter Shelia Robertson Leitzel (Dane) Winchester, Tennessee. Grandchildren and their families: Dustin Robertson (Brittany) sons Kaiden and Cooper, Dale Robertson (Kathryn) daughters Mackenzie and Macie, Eric Robertson (Noell) daughter Keyona, Audrie Cordell (Brian) sons Gavin, Warrick, Asher, Avery, daughters Tristen and Liberty, Scott Robertson (Amber) son Aiden, daughter Lillian, Erin Powers (Trice), Alexis Long (Andrew), Wesley Sarzosa, Daniel Sarzosa, and Lucas Sarzosa. She is also survived by her three sisters: Shirley Seeton (Jerry), Beatrice Bryant (Bob), and Pat Worrell (Bob) all of Texas. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jo Ann and Morris moved from the DFW Metroplex area to Marlin, Texas in 1966 where they lived until 2003 upon their retirement and relocation to Manchester,TN. Jo Ann served as the secretary of the FBC Marlin for many years. She and Mo were owners of Lakeview Drive Inn, Houston’s Restaurant, and Robertson’s Plantation Inn Restaurant while they lived in Marlin. Her family would like to extend special thank you to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Manchester, especially Pastor Mark Barron, for their kindness and acts of mercy during Jo Ann’s illness and passing. We appreciate Compassus Hospice in Tullahoma for caring for our matriarch and enabling us to share a beautiful time with her during her final weeks. 1/29/17 — Jeremiah James Wayne Vandagriff

Jeremiah James Wayne Vandagriff was born April 15, 1983, to Wayne and
Cheryl Vandagriff of Manchester, Tennessee. Jeremiah lived in Manchester,
attended the Canvas Community Church, and is survived by a beautiful
daughter, Abigaile Vandagriff.

1/29/17 — Justin Kenneth Jones

Justin Kenneth Jones was born July 13, 1993, in Tullahoma, Tennessee to John Kenneth Jones (Kimberly) of Bradyville, Tennessee, and Lisa Holbrook (Mike) of Manchester, Tennessee. Justin married Veronica P. Jones and lived in Manchester, Tennessee raising two sons, Logan and Laine. Justin loved to hunt, fish, ride dirt bikes, have cookouts, coach his boys in ball, and spend time with his family and friends. Justin attended the Rutledge Falls Baptist Church. Justin loved everyone. He always had energy, a smile, an uplifting personality, with a drive to make the most out of life. He was employed by Lee Company as a Plumbing mechanic. This company were just like family cousins. Preceded in death by a grandfather; Howard Buckner. Justin is survived by grandparents; Barbara Buckner, Dennis Jones, Cherry Handing, Eddie and Kitty Holbrook, one sister; Macy Clements, two brothers; Jordan Jones (Jasmine), Hunter Clements, Brother&Sister-In-Law; B.J. & Tara Adams, Keith & Kristi Davis, Mother & Father-In-Law; Dewana & Andrew Smith, and Teddy Blackburn, nieces; Alli Jones, Kiah Davis, Sophia, Kloie, nephews; Alex, Dresel Adams, Kaysen & Kohlbyn Davis.

Kenneth Oscar Edwards

Kenneth Oscar Edwards, born August 31, 1953 in Winchester, TN, passed away at his residence on January 23, 2017. A private burial will be held for the family. Manchester Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth Edwards was born in Winchester, Tennessee, the son of the late Jack Weldon Edwards and Adith Eleanor Lightfoot. He served his country in the Army in The Vietnam War. Kenneth worked as a carpenter for Lewis Construction.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Jack Weldon Edwards; mother, Adith Eleanor Lightfoot Edwards Dew; step-father, John Carlos Dew; brother, William Ray Edwards. He is survived by his daughter Janis Eleanor Edwards Muele; grandchildren, Garrett Baxter and Ashlyn Baxter; two brothers, Jack Richard (Mary) Edwards, and Anthony Troy Edwards; three sisters, Wanda Mae Keel, Joy (Hulin) Brown, Jennie Sue (Mitch) Dunlap; numerous nieces and nephews.

1/27/17—Kevin LeBron Johnson

Kevin LeBron Johnson, of Manchester, passed this life on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 at his home at the age of 47. Mr. Johnson was born in Cumberland County, Tennessee to the late Minus L. Johnson and Margie Whiteaker Johnson who survives. During his life, he worked in maintenance and as a driver with South Central Human Resource Agency. In addition to his mother, Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Glenda Johnson of Manchester; his son, Jonathan Johnson of Manchester; brother, Chris Johnson and his wife Jennie of Elizabethton, Tennessee; sister, Kimberly Osborne and her husband David of Beech Grove; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-2:00pm with the funeral to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Holland Hill Cemetery in Coffee County. 1/26/17 — Lou Ann Ramsey

Graveside services for Lou Ann Ramsey, age 50 of Manchester, will be
conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. in Morrison Cemetery
with Brother Benny Benjamin officiating. The family will receive friends
on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral
Chapel. Lou Ann passed away on January 20, 2017 at Erlanger Medical
Center in Chattanooga, TN.

Lou Ann was an only child of Alex and Louise Ramsey of Morrison, TN. She
was born to the older parents and lost her father, Alex, who she adored
when she was only eleven years old and her mother passed in 1997. Lou Ann
was of the Baptist faith and attended church when she was growing up in
Morrison. She was quiet and stayed to herself, but most everybody who
knew her, loved her. She loved anything to do with the water; including
fishing, boating or swimming. Lou Ann also loved going to Florida and
Disneyworld. At home, she enjoyed the ponies and goats, but really loved
the little Chihuahua house dogs. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark
Channel and reruns of The Golden Girls and Frazier. During her life, she
worked from Home Health to Tempco in Manchester as a supervisor. She
later worked at Carrier air conditioning plant in Morrison.

She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Ramsey Lockheart (C.H.) of
Smithville, TN and Julie Hinson (Mike); special friend, Sue Wildes.

1/25/17 — Timothy Dean Winton

Timothy Dean Winton age 52 of Pelham, Tennessee won his battle with cancer when he went to be with Jesus on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 4:37 a.m. surrounded by his family.

Born in Winchester on November 13, 1964 he was an amazing Godly family man. He told his nurses that he wanted to continue the fight so that he could just be with his family and he was very excited that his son and daughter-in-law were planning to adopt his first grandchild and he would be called Poppy.

Tim graduated from Tennessee School for the Blind in Donelson, Tennessee in 1984, he was born legally blind, however he never allowed that little inconvenience to limit him in anyway. He was always a hard worker and a good provider for his family.

Survivors include his son, Zachary (Sierra) Winton; step-son, Michael Myers; mother, Frankie Winton; sisters, Patricia Fuqua and Gayle (Jerry) VanHooser; brother, Mike (Vicki) Winton; nieces and nephews, Melissa King, Troy King, Heather King, Heath (Jessica) Winton, Josh (Lindsay) Winton, Nathan (Jill) Myers, Ryan (Misty) VanHooser, Alice (Nick) Roberts and a host of great nieces and nephews and special friends, Jeff Roach, Annette and Christian Williams, Hazelene Byrum and Sharon Winton. Tim is preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa Winton.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jack Nance, Brother Ray Winton and his son, Zachary officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. 1/27/17—Marvin Clifton Green

Marvin Clifton Green, age 91, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, faithful and humble servant of the Lord, finished his earthly journey on January 23, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga. Graveside services for Mr. Green will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Marvin, son of the late Howard Green and Eula Wiser, was born in Manchester, Tennessee. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Marvin was employed to the Life Insurance Company of Georgia for over 30 years as Regional Manager and Underwriter. He was an avid baseball fan and supporter, so he became the founding member of The East Brainerd Youth Baseball Program. Mr. Green was also an active member of The East Ridge Church of Christ. Some of his favorite hobbies were gardening and farming.

In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Opal Green; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sisters, Marie Green Adcock and Penny Sue Bryan; daughter, Phyllis Hill; son, Bruce (Lise) Green; four grandsons, Chris Perry, Michael Green, David Green, and Andrew Green; granddaughter, Amy Perry; two great-granddaughters, Gracie and Glory Perry; great-great granddaughter, Luna Whittenburg.

1/27/17—Nettie Frances “Fran” Barbour

Nettie Frances “Fran” Barbour, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Friday, January 20th, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 75. Mrs. Barbour was born in Manchester to the late Roy E. and Louthine Todd Cunningham. During her life, she worked with Child Development Services from which she retired and was a member of Lynchburg First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Coffee County Senior Citizens Center where she served as Vice President of the Board as well as the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center. Mrs. Barbour loved oil painting, crafts, and helping others. She frequently volunteered at the Coffee County Senior Citizens and also started the Saggy Bottom Band and Good Time Swingers, teaching line dancing to seniors. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barbour was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron and Roy Cunningham. She is survived by her husband, James Wesley Barbour Sr. of Tullahoma; one son, Steve Austell and his wife B of Spring Hill; one brother, David Cunningham and his wife Jan of Manchester; granddaughter, Lauren Banks and her husband Derrick; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Nathaniel Banks; cousins, Donna and Grover Jewell; special nieces, Leah Skelton, Yolanda Clark, and Shannon Trzcinski; and special great niece and nephew, Brenden and Brylee Clark. Visitation for Mrs. Barbour will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow at Lynchburg City Cemetery. 1/25/17—LaVerne Boyd Finney

On January 22, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones, LaVerne Boyd Finney, aged eighty-seven, passed away peacefully at her home in Manchester, TN. Born on December 22, 1929, in Birchwood, TN, LaVerne was the daughter of the late James Carson and Deliah Alma Dungan Boyd of Decherd, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Edward Kenneth Finney, infant son Marvin Earl Finney, and her brothers Hubert Carson Boyd, Fred Boyd, Thomas Glenn Boyd, and Clyde L. Boyd. She is survived by her sons James Edward (Roberta) Finney, Larry D. (Patricia) Finney, and Fred Dewayne (Connie) Finney, all of Manchester, TN; and, her daughters Alma Elizabeth Cowan of Hillsboro, TN, Valda G. Barrett, Doris J. (Marlin) McCullough, both of Manchester, TN, and Phyllis A. (Richard) Bishop of Winchester, TN; her sister Gladys Anderson of Franklin, TN, and her brother Marshall (Pauline) Boyd of Decherd, TN. She had nine grandchildren and two step grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In 1957, Mrs. Finney and her late husband Kenneth bought a Grade-A dairy farm in the Sixteenth Model community in Coffee County, TN. Tirelessly, she worked beside her husband and sons milking, feeding, and maintaining their farm. For many years, she was actively involved with the Coffee County Farm Bureau, traveling to conventions, conducting membership drives, and hosting Farm Bureau members and functions at their home. Likewise, she was involved with the 4-H Club and Young Farmers and Homemakers. Mrs. Finney enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard, canning from her garden, and feeding the hummingbirds. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

For many years, LaVerne attended the Antioch Church of Christ. Recently, she enjoyed worshipping with the members of the Red Hill Church of Christ.

Visitation for Mrs. Finney will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 24 at the Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 1:00 P.M.
