Nancy June Umbarger

Mrs. Nancy June Umbarger, age 75 years, 7 months, and 28 days of
Manchester, was born on May 13, 1946, to the late Horace and Jewell Morgan
Crownover, in Hillsboro, TN. She retired from Wisco Co.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nancy is preceded in death by her loving
husband of 15 years, James Leon Umbarger; brothers, Bobby and Noel
Crownover; brothers-in-law, Billy Jones, and Jack Brewer. She is survived
by her daughter, Brigitte Williamson; granddaughters, Samantha and Sabrina
Williamson; great grandson, Aiden West; sisters-in-law, Linda Jones,
Shirley Brewer, and Judy Umbarger and her husband, Johnny; several cousins,
nieces, nephews, and extended family members and a host of friends.

It was Mrs. Nancy’s wishes to be cremated. There will be a funeral
visitation on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 5-8 PM at Manchester
Funeral Home. Burial of Mrs. Nancy’s cremains will be at a later date.

Mrs. Nancy passed away on Monday, January 10 at St. Thomas Rutherford after
an extended illness

Rebecca Faye Copeland

Rebecca Faye Copeland, age 54 of Manchester, Tennessee, slipped the bonds
of the earth on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence in Manchester,
TN to touch the face of God following an extended illness. She was born
November 24, 1967 in Chicago, IL to Linda Rice – Jones and Ron Rice –
Crawford. She became disabled in an auto accident several years ago and
wasn’t able to continue working. She had held several different jobs during
her lifetime. She made friends with everyone she met, but if you made her
mad you would feel her full wrath of anger. She was of the Baptist faith
and when she was able she would attend service a the Lincoln Heights
Baptist Church where her family attends. She enjoyed spending time with her
two daughters and two grandsons as well as other members of her family and
close friends. She enjoyed watching football (Alabama) and spending time
outdoors, fishing, listening to country music and playing video games.  She
is survived by two daughters; Amanda (Chuck) Anderson of Tullahoma, TN and
Christina (Thomas) Hastings and two grandsons of Manchester, TN as well as
her mother Linda Rice – Jones of Tullahoma, TN and one sister Rhonda Felts
of Manchester, TN and two brothers Timothy (Patricia) Rice of Tullahoma, TN
and Marc Rice of Hillsboro, TN as well as several nieces and nephews and
other family members and many friends.

It was Becky’s wish to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on
Saturday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church at
1605 East Lincoln Street in Tullahoma. Visitation with the family will be
on the same day from 9:00 AM to service time at 11:00 AM with Bro. Daniel
Boyd (her uncle) officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be
made to the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in her memory to pay for her
service.

Phillip James Thompson

Phillip James Thompson of Morrison, TN passed this life on Wednesday,
January 12, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford at the age of 50. No services are
scheduled.

A native of Kentucky, Phillip was the son of William Frank Thompson of
Kentucky and Sherry Bankston Grosch of Morrison.  He enjoyed fishing and
being with his family.

He was preceded in death by brother, Mark Ainsworth.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by girlfriend, Leslie Haley of
Woodbury; brothers, Joseph Ainsworth of Manchester, Frank Thompson of
Alexander, KY, Scott Thompson (Kim) of Lebanon, Nathan Grosch (Kristina) of
Murfreesboro and sister, Shelly Walden (Matthew) of Dunkirk, Maryland.

Shirley Carolyn Vaughn

Shirley Carolyn Vaughn, age 79, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, January 10, 2022. 

Born in the Gnat Hill Community of Beechgrove, Tennessee, on December 21, 1942, to the late “Lacy” and Earline Ferrell, Shirley devoted her life to being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a homemaker and lifetime member of Unity Church of Christ in Manchester, Tennessee. Shirley loved spending time with her family, cooking, canning and quilting. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles or gardening. She will be missed dearly.  

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-six years, Raymond “Curtis” Vaughn; one brother, Thomas Ferrell; two sisters, Nellie Duke and Bertha Mae Ferrell; and her father-in-law and mother- in- law, Theodore and Cleo Vaughn.  

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Vaughn, Roger (Sandy) Vaughn and Ronald (Angela) Vaughn; one brother, Tony (Linda) Ferrell; two sisters, Mildred Davenport Campbell and Mizelle (Jim) McClure; seven grandchildren, Raymond “Zach” Vaughn, Emily Vaughn, Mandy (Lance) Campbell, Ryan (Caitlin) Vaughn, Christopher (Jayme) Vaughn, Cursten Vaughn and Cyler “Doodle” Vaughn; five great grandchildren, Kyuss Crabtree, Kennedy Crabtree, Ronin Vaughn, Bradley Campbell and Porter Vaughn. 

Visitation will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4-8PM. 

Funeral Services will be held, at the funeral home, on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 12PM with Bro. Eddie Duke officiating.  

Interment to immediately follow at Fredonia Cemetery in Manchester, Tennessee.

David Dean Atteberry

David Dean Atteberry, age 77, of Manchester went to be with his heavenly
father Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born May 9, 1944 in Fairfield,
Illinois to the late Leonard and Hattie (Sneed) Atteberry. In addition to
his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dallas Lewis; and
brothers, Carrol and Robert Atteberry. The family will receive friends from
5-8 p.m. Friday, January 14th at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Funeral
service will be held at a later date in Mattoon, Illinois. David will be
interred in Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois. David was a member
and usher of First Baptist Church of Tullahoma. He had a passion for riding
his Goldwing with his wife and was a member of the Tullahoma motorcycle
group. David is survived by his wife, Joyce Atteberry; sons, Matt Atteberry
(Dawn) and Bruce Atteberry; daughters, Dianne Moore (Tony), Debbie Beeson
(Vince), Carla Forster (Mike) and Kelly Lewis; brother, Keith Atteberry
(Pam); sisters, Dianne Dickey (Joe) and Kathy Heath (Mike); eleven
grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren

Daniel Chad Brazier

Mr. Daniel Chad Brazier, age 46, of Clarks
Hill, SC, formerly of Manchester, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday,
January 11, 2022, in Augusta, GA. Mr. Brazier was born in Tullahoma, TN, to
his late father Danny Lee Brazier and surviving mother Peggy Clay Darden.
He worked as a production director for Beasley Broadcasting in Augusta
where he wrote & produced commercials as well as entertaining music lovers
on the radio. He had many personal interests including music, sports
(especially the Dallas Cowboys), riding his motorcycle, driving his Jeep, &
joking around with friends. Chad is survived by his mother, Peggy Clay
Darden and brother Derrick Brazier. Visitation with the family will be held
on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Central Funeral
Home in Manchester, TN. Memorial services will be conducted immediately
following visitation at 4:00pm with Rev. Jeff Bailey officiating. Central

Mitchell Lee Essary

Mr. Mitchell Lee Essary, age 58, passed from this
life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Manchester, TN.

Mr. Essary was born in Memphis, TN, to his late parents Lester Leon Essay
and Bennie Sue Warren. He worked for St. Thomas West in Nashville as a
critical care nurse. Mr. Essary was a very smart person who loved learning
about his profession in healthcare. In his free time, he loved playing
music for fun on his guitar. Mr. Essary was a great husband and the best
father anyone could ask for. He was very funny, sweet and loving and made
sure his family was well taken care of and was always there for them.

Mr. Essary is survived by his wife of 5 years, Julie Essary; son, Jacob
(Stephanie) Essary; daughters, Cassey Essary, Rebecca Essary, Amber Essary,
Angie Essary, and Amanda Essary; brother, Steve Essary; sister, Sherrie
Essary; grandchild, Anayva Snipes.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to be determined.

Gloria Ann Talalmantes

Mrs. Gloria Ann Talalmantes, age 69 of Bradyville, TN, was born on February 11, 1952, in Wooster, Ohio. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents William and Laura Sue Cartwright Sullivan; son, Robert “Bobby” Patterson. She is survived by her loving husband of 30+ years, Juan Jose’ Talamantes; children, Frank Camacho, Jr. (Tina Marquez), April Osife (Dezon Johnson), Angel Talamantes, Jaclyn Talamantes (William Massaquoi), Paulie Talamantes, Caleb Stoneham (Katt Cervantes), Sarah Stoneham; grandchildren, Aneesa and Jaxon Johnson, Angelina and Jonathon Camacho, William and Malcolm Massaquoi, and Riley Stoneham; special nieces, Mikki and Angie Fowler; nephew, Billy Joe Fowler; brother, Tim Sullivan; sisters, Marilee Burris, Sue Sullivan, Phyllis Fowler, and Patty Marcum; several extended family members and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Mrs. Gloria on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 4 – 6 PM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel.

John Dayton Thomas

John Dayton Thomas passed this life on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the
Legacy Health & Rehab in Manchester at the age of 86. Graveside Services
are scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Hurricane
Grove Cemetery in Manchester.*

*John Dayton Thomas, 86, of Manchester Tennessee, passed on January 09,
2022 after a extended illness. He was born to John Clay and Alline Morton
Thomas in Nashville, Tennessee on April 12, 1935.*

*He married Essie Pearl (Bobbie) Burks in 1956 and they lived together in
Manchester, Tennessee. Together they were blessed with 5 daughters ( one
lost in infancy) and raised one of their grandchildren as a daughter, Viva
Mansfield (Tim), Karen Mansfield (Johnny ), Harriet Ann Thomas , Janet Lea
Mcgee (Butch ), Mendy Thomas Swain (Al ), Yvonne Harris Waggoner (Paul ).
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren { Amanda Wright (Jimmy), Sarah
Mansfield, Erica Cosminsky Edwards (David), Dustin Mansfield, John
Cosminsky, Bryan McGee, Caden Harris, Delaney Harris and Reagan Harris} and
5 great grandchildren. John made it his personal mission to step up and be
a role model for those needing a father figure; giving advice, guidance and
support when it was needed. In addition, he assisted many homeless with a
place to live, jobs and financial means to better their situation. Many of
these became like extended family.*

*The family would like to thank Rickey & Bubba Brandon and the many
caregivers who helped provide care to John and Bobbie during the illness. *

*John worked as a Truck Driver and in later years ran a fruit market in
Tullahoma and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in
people.*

Walter Ray Hunter

Mr. Walter Ray Hunter, age 84, of Manchester passed
from this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Life Care Center of
Tullahoma. He was born November 10, 1937 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to the
late James Allen and Myrtle Worley Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired as a security
guard at George Dickel Distillery and was also the plant maintenance
supervisor at Wilson Sporting Goods for many years. Mr. Hunter was an
active member of the Shriner’s for over 50 years. On December 17, 1970, he
was raised to a Master Mason and received his 50 year certification on
January 1, 2020. He loved working in his garden every year and maintaining
the crops that he planted. He was a master wood-worker, cabinet maker and
built many homes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by
his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo McGough Hunter; brother, Thomas Jefferson
Hunter; sisters, Edna Faye Cooper and Alma Louise South. Mr. Hunter is
survived by his son, David Ray (Lisa) Hunter; two grandchildren, Heather
Hunter and Cody Hunter; sister, Shirley Ann Conner; brothers, James Allen
Hunter, Jr, Marvin Eugene Hunter, David Wayne Hunter and Charles Edward
Hunter. Graveside service for Mr. Hunter will be held Thursday, January 13,
2022 at 11:00am at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery with Brother Danny Anderson
