3/25/17–Dorothy Dean Lightfoot

Dorothy Dean Lightfoot was born March 20, 1933, in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Connell Jack and Maggie Lou Byrom Grubbs. Mrs. Lightfoot was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, dancing, writing music, drawing, and working in the yard watching her birds. Mrs. Lightfoot was a very talented, creative lady. Preceded in death by three sons; Arthur Lightfoot Jr., Steven Lightfoot, and Chris Lightfoot, two sisters; Wilma Jean Damron and Doris Hasty McGowen, and two brothers; Curtis Grubbs and Don Grubbs. Survived by one daughter; Vonette C. (Donald) Holloway of Winchester, TN, three sons; Quinn (Shelia) Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, Stacy Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, and Tracy (Helen) Lightfoot of Estill Springs, TN, five grandchildren; Maggie Huggin of Winchester, TN, David Hastings of Spencer, TN, Dottie, Gina, and Quincy Lightfoot, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five sisters; Macon Hunt, Linda Cowan, Diane Alford, Rita Wright, and Delilah Grubbs, one brother; Curtis Grubbs, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marion Elizabeth Elam, was born September 13, 1930, in Morrison, Tennessee, to the late Harvey Albert and Beulah Marie Toliver Elam. Marion was known throughout the county to be an outstanding homemaker. She excelled in everything she attempted. She sewed, cooked, baked, but her main joy was in her love for flowers. She grew flowers that others only could dream about. Her flowers were so pretty they looked as if they were painted in the yard. When the flowers were brought indoors the aroma would make a whole room smell wonderful. Ms. Marion was extremely generous sharing her gorgeous roses in all colors, sizes, and varieties. She would place tightly as many rose stems possible in buckets for the sick and people in the community for all kinds of occasions through out the years. Marion was a member of the Pocahontas Church of Christ. Preceded in death by three brothers; Gordon K. Elam, Glenis E. Elam, and James Donald Elam, and one nephew; Stanley D. Davis. Survived by two sisters; June Elam Davis and Doris Elam Hamann, and two brothers; Jerry Thomas Elam and Ralph Albert Elam.

3/24/17 — Wyona “Kippy” Benedict

Funeral services for Mrs. Wyona “Kippy” Benedict, age 78, of Manchester,
TN, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on
Thursday evening at the funeral home. Kippy passed away on Tuesday,
March 21, 2017 at Bailey Manor in Manchester, TN.

Wyona was born in Warren, OH, the daughter of the late Harold R. and
Elizabeth Berry Jones. She was a 1956 graduate of Manchester Central
High School, graduated from MTSU and was a self-employed music teacher,
after having taught music for the elementary schools in the Coffee County
School system, as well as playing the piano and organ for many churches.
She was a member of St. Mathews Episcopal Church in McMinnville, TN.
Kippy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Order of the Eastern Star, American
Guild of Organist, and Duck River Players Theatrical Group. She was on
the Board of Directors for Arrowhead to Aerospace Museum, a longtime
secretary of the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce, and an Avon
representative, earning the David H. McConnell Award.

In addition to her parents, Kippy was also preceded in death by her
husband, James Benedict. She is survived by one son, Rusty (Christy)
Tensfield of Manchester, TN; one daughter, Robin Tensfield Bell of
Daytona Beach Shores, FL; one brother, Rodger (Wanda) Jones; six
grandchildren, Lance Tensfield, Beth Reece, Jacquie Bennett, Rebeka Bell,
Rachel Bell, and Lena Marie Bell; and five great grandchildren, Torey
Johnson, TyLer Bennett, Jada Adams, Jacob Reece, and Maddox Parker.

Richard Hill

Richard Hill passed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Waters of
Winchester at the age of 73 years. No services are scheduled.

A native of Franklin County, TN, he was the son of the late Epherim and
Martha O’Dear Hill. He enjoyed fishing and watching his game shows on TV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita
Hill; son, Allen Hill; three brothers, Epherim Hill Jr., Joe Frank Hill and
James Robert Hill and three sisters, Hilda Brinkley, Norma Jean Hill and
Annester Hill.

Richard is survived by three sisters, Rosa Haddon of Tullahoma, Mary
Francess Stevens of Manchester and Hilda Brinkley of Hillsboro.

3/23/17 — Eda Darlene Fatherree

Eda Darlene Fatherree passed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her
residence at the age of 78 years old. Graveside services will be held
Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10 AM at Welker Cemetery.

Eda was the daughter of the late Chester and Eda Curnett Moore. She was
born on December 24, 1938 in Marion, Indiana. She was a nurse and worked
in nursing homes. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and devoted many hours each
month to the ministry. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping,
gardening and riding horses. She also enjoyed reading and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
William Herrell Fatherree; half-brother, Tommy Wilson and sister, Donna
Jean Thompson.

Eda is survived by two sons, Larry Gene Fatherree of Manchester and Danny
Wayne Fatherree and his wife, Rebecca Kim of Bell Buckle; daughter, Eda
Annette Short and her husband, Olan of Manchester; one brother, Garrett E.
Moore and his wife, Maxine of Indiana; nine grandchildren; five great
grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

3/23/17–Larry Richard Brooks

Mr. Larry Richard Brooks

Larry Richard Brooks, age 60 of Manchester, was born to the late Mr. Joe and Sylvia Potter Brooks on October 8, 1944 in Arkansas. He served in United States Army and the Secret Service. Larry earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and at his retirement he was an insurance salesman.

Mr. Brooks passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 19, 2017.
As per his request, Mr. Brooks will be cremated and there will be no services held.

Robert Austin Jernigan, Jr.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Austin Jernigan, Jr., age 60, of Wartrace, Tennessee, are not completed at this time. Mr. Jernigan passed away at his home on March 18, 2017.

Robert Jernigan, Jr. was born in Manchester, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert A. Jernigan, Sr. and Mary E. Lusk. He served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. Robert worked as a self-employed construction worker. He will always be remembered for his love for his family.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his step-dad, William “Bill” Miller; brothers, Bobby & Danny Jernigan; sisters, Faye Luke, Carol Ann Jernigan, Charolette Elaine Jernigan. He is survived by his brother, Timothy Jernigan of Ohio; son, Brandon Lee Jernigan from Texas; daughters, Amy Elaine Carter (James) of Tullahoma, Kijia “Lynn” Carter (Lonnie) of Tullahoma, and Amanda Nicole Wolford (Matt) of Mount Juliet; seven grandsons; one great-grandson.

3/23/17 — James H. Kelnhofer

James H. Kelnhofer of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday, March 18 at his
residence at the age of 66 years. Funeral Services are scheduled for
Thursday, March 23 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. Ray
Cathey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation
with the family will be Thursday from 12 PM until the service time.

Mr. Kelnhofer, a native of Coffee County, was the son of the late Harold R
and Mildred Amos Kelnhofer. He was a U S Army veteran and a Ford Master
Tech. He was a member of the Christian Friendship Church of Tullahoma,
where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school and participating in many other
church activities. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children
and grandchildren. His hobbies included collecting guns and cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Anna
Elise Kelnhofer.

Mr. Kelnhofer is survived by two sons, Joshua Kelnhofer and David Scott
Kelnhofer, both of Tullahoma; two daughters, Jenny Kelnhofer Lyle of Smyrna
and Stacie Goodnight of Star City, AR; three brothers, Gary Kelnhofer of
Tullahoma, Joe Kelnhofer and his wife, Diane of Pine Bluff, AR and Phillip
Kelnhofer of Estill Springs; one sister, Mary Joyce Cyree and her husband,
Jimmy of Decherd; eleven grandchildren, Casanova Robertson, Xavier Lyle,
Jayden, MaKayla, Breanne and Colby Kelnhofer, Summer, Autumn, Shelby and
Alysia Goodnight and Virgil Goodnight Jr; nieces, Denise Soloman and her
husband, Stacy of Winchester and Dianne Cyree Garrison of Winchester and
good friend, Rebecca Prince of Tullahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his name to the Christian Friendship Church, c/o Vickie Cathey, 363 Grosch
Road, Manchester, TN 37355.

Anita Marie Williams of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday, March 18 at
Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 56 years. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Friday, March 24 at 4 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home. Visitation
with the family will be Friday from 2 PM until the service time.

Anita was the daughter of the late Wayne Williams and the late Peggy
Hopkins Williams Thomas. She was born in Harvey, IL on January 5, 1961.
Anita
was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She
also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers,
Terry Williams and Farrell Williams.

She is survived by two daughters, Mitzy Dillon and her husband, Kevin of
Tullahoma and Jennifer Hartline and her husband, Kyle of Hixson;
step-father, Doug Thomas of Tullahoma; brothers, Jamie Thomas and his wife,
Nikki of Tullahoma, Wesley Williams of Winchester and Jeff Thomas of
Tullahoma; one sister, Pamela Thomas of Manchester and six grandchildren,
Hillary Miles, Olivia Clem, Katy Clark, Connor Cash, Zoe Hartline and
Harrison Hartline.
