Earnest Lee McCormick — 4/17/2017

Funeral service for Ernest Lee McCormick, age 65 of Morrison, TN, will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 2 PM at Manchester Funeral Home with Sister Betty McCormick officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, April 16th from 5-9 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mr. McCormick passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN

Ernest was born on February 19, 1952 in McMinnville, TN to the late Ernest William and Rita Myers McCormick. He was a self-employed farmer and logger; he loved gardening, working on his cars and trucks, fooling with his dogs.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Wayne McCormick. He is survived by one brother, James (Betty) McCormick of Manchester; two sisters, Vonda (Robert) Hogan of Kendallville, IN, and Linda (Zach) Malpass of Centertown, TN; special friend of 20 years, Jackie Taylor of Morrison, and several nieces and nephews.

4/17/17 — Allen Freytag

Allen Byron Freytag, age 72, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017, with his family at his side. Allen was born September 2, 1944, in Harriman to AB Freytag and Naomi Beatrice Thomas Freytag. Allen married his loving wife of 52 years Paula Lynn Waldrop Freytag. Allen graduated from college with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and was employed by Jacobs Engineering before retiring. After retirement, he enjoyed watching football, family outings, and traveling with his wife Paula. Allen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hillsboro.

Allen is survived by his wife Paula, his parents, AB and Naomi Freytag, three children; Angela G. and (Lynn) Bunch of Wartburg, TN, Kimberley D. and (Alan) Keller of Manchester, TN, and Keith A. and (Cynthia) of Hillsboro, TN, four grandchildren; Heather and (Doyle) Hudson of Knoxville, TN, Wade Keller of Manchester, TN, Kristin and (Justin) Throneberry of Wartbury, TN, and Jared Freytag of Hillsboro, TN, two great-grandchildren; Kailynn Throneberry of Wartburg, TN, and Amaiya Hudson of Knoxville, TN, a brother; Glen L. and (Ann) Freytag of Wartburg, TN, and a host of special friends and family. 4/16/17—Travis Andre’ Nunley

TRAVIS ANDRE’ NUNLEY
(May 21, 1980 – April 12, 2017)

Travis Andre’ Nunley, age 36, was born in Winchester to James Allan Nunley and Sandie Gail King. Travis passed away on April 12, 2017 in Woodbury. Before moving to Woodbury, Travis worked as a Painter in the Auto Body Industry in Manchester.

Travis is survived by his father James Allan Nunley and step-mother Marilou Nunley of Deleware, his mother Sandie Gail King of Morrison, Tennessee, daughter, Mariah A. Nunley of Manchester, Tennessee, sister, Natalie S. Nunley, and 3 brothers, Eric A. Nunley, Joshua D. King, and Alex S. Nunley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made toward the expenses of the arrangements that were provided at the funeral home for Travis. 4/15/17 — Jesse Wesley Lewis

A Celebration of Life for Jesse Wesley Lewis will be conducted at 6:00 PM
on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Visitation
with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Lewis passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his residence,
surrounded by his loving family.

Jesse was born in Manchester, TN, the son of the late Jesse Wesley Lewis,
Sr. and Louise Jernigan Lewis. He served his country in the United
States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an electronics technician for
various companies, having retired from Nissan in Smyrna, TN. He was a
member of the Ham Radio Club, having served as president and was an extra
class ham operator (KR4OJ), holding a DXCC #1 honor roll certification.
Jesse was also past president of the Coffee County Historical Society and
the Coffee County Historian. He was a passionate Master Geocacher with
the Over The Hill Gang and a published author of Tombstone Records of
Cannon County, Tennessee.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Joanna Ewell Lewis; six children,
James (Mary Lou) Harvill, Michael (Shawna) Lewis, Nicholas (Vicki) Lewis,
Tracey (Tony) Suzzi, Stephanie (Jeff) Hayes, and Stephen Lewis; two
brothers, Gary (Martha K. Otwell) Lewis and Mark (Debbie) Lewis; and
seven grandchildren.

4/15/17 — Leonard Noon

Mr. Leonard Noon 79, of Tullahoma passed Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at The Waters of Smyrna in Smyrna, TN.

He was the son of the late William Noon, Sr. and Susie Noon Holman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William Noon, Jr, Charles Noon, Elroy Noon, Margaret Noon-Carr, and infant Mary Frances Noon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lisa Renee Noon.

Two daughters, Jan R. (the late Larry) Perkins and Gin Noon (Larry) Spaulding.

Son, Robert Allgood, Sr (Princella)

Brother, Jewel (Margarite) Noon

Sister and brother- in- laws, Hattie and Henry Wood

Six grandchildren, Tony Devaughn, Chenae Perkins, Robert Allgood, Jr, Killian Allgood, Jessica Thraser, and Maleah Spaulding.

4/15/17–Linda Mae Nippers

Linda Mae Nippers, age 67, died at home on April 10, 2017 after battling a terminal illness of lung and brain cancer.

She was born in Manchester, TN to Elvin and Beatrice Darnell. She graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1968. On October 7, 1977 she married her best friend and the love of her life, Jimmy Carl Nippers.

She lived in Manchester, TN for most of her life and worked at PCA and Medical Home Health for many years, until she became a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending lots of time with her family and dog, Rosie. She had the kindest heart and so much wisdom, and anyone who knew her always felt a special connection to her. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was also a very spiritual person, who found peace and comfort in her relationship with God.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Nippers who resides in Manchester, TN; her daughter Kristie Briggs (Farris) – Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Laura Nippers – Walls, MS; and step-son, Jimboe Nippers (Mandy) – Murfreesboro, TN. Her surviving sisters include: Joy Broadrick (Mike) – Manchester, TN; Patsy Motes (Terry) – Ball Ground, GA; and Juanita Lawler (Casey) – Cumming, GA. Her surviving brothers include: Billy Darnell (Kim) – Manchester, TN and Ricky Darnell – Emerson, Georgia. Her surviving grandchildren include: Quentin, Maegan and Alex Carnley; Lynsey and Madison Nippers; Roger and Justin Pruitt. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Darnell; her father, Elvin Darnell; sisters, Faye Selvage and Nancy Coe; and brother, Jesse Melton.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Linda Nippers to the American Cancer Society.

4/14/17 — Kelly Denise Edwards Owens

Kelly Denise Edwards Owens, age 29, of Estill Springs, Tenn. departed this life on Monday, April 10, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on September 6, 1987, in Salinas, California to Ralph Edwards, Jr. and Marty Mabry Edwards. She was employed as Office Manager at Al White Ford in Manchester. Mrs. Owens was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her eight month old twin girls. She enjoyed watching Disney movies with her girls. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Tullahoma.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfathers, Jim Mabry and Billy Kimbrough and Paternal Grandfather, Ralph Edwards, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Jon Owens of Estill Springs, twin daughters; Samantha and Madison Owens, parents; Marty and Ralph Edwards, Jr. of Decherd, Maternal Grandmother, Lois Kimbrough of Winchester, Paternal Grandmother, Betty Edwards of Belvidere, Sister, Jennifer Edwards of Tullahoma, Aunt, Melinda “MeMe” Partin of Decherd, Uncle, John Edwards of Winchester and several other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 14, at the First Assembly of God in Tullahoma with Pastor Ron Forrester and Pastor Joel Burroughs, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 on Friday.

Mary Imogene Victor, age 81, passed away at her residence with her family at her side in Manchester on April 7, 2017. Mrs. Victor was born in Wellsville, New York on June 10, 1935, to the late Burton Mead Mull and Evelyn Fleming Mull. Mrs. Victor was married to Stanley F. Victor October 12, 1957 in Grand Island, New York. Mrs. Victor was a registered nurse before retiring at the Edward J. Meyer Hospital in California. She was in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Genealogical Society.

Mrs. Victor is preceded in death by a brother, John Leslie Mull, and two sisters, (Ebby) Evelyn Alamead Michael and Catherine Elizabeth Weilbacher.

She is survived by her husband Stanley Victor, three daughters, Audrey Joan Arnold, Kimberly Sue Leonard, and Jacqueline Renee Fortune, and one sister, Marjorie M. Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the St. Jude’s Foundation or the Animal Shelter of Coffee County.

4/9/17 — Steven Lewis Jordan

A celebration of life gathering for Steven Lewis Jordan, age 26 of Manchester, will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Steven passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Steven was born on February 7, 1991 in Manchester, TN. He had a love for music, fishing and playing video games. He enjoyed driving his truck and going sight-seeing.

He is survived by his parents, Lewis Jordan and Linda Winchell; fiancé, Rachel Humphrey; brothers, Robert Winchell and Gary Jordan.

4/9/17 — Agnes Marie Nunley Medford

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Marie Nunley Medford, age 87, of
Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at
Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Benny Benjamin officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation
with the family will be from 1:00 PM until time of service on Sunday at
the funeral home. Mrs. Medford passed away peacefully at her residence
on Friday, April 7, 2017.

Agnes was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Orian Baker
and Quixie Mae Carrick Nunley. She fell into her father’s footsteps by
beginning her 34-year teaching career in a one room schoolhouse in the
Mud Creek Community of Coffee County. It was in this setting that Agnes
found her love for teaching small children. She taught in Germany,
England, Warren County Headstart and retired as a kindergarten teacher in
the Manchester City School system. Agnes loved flowers and loved her
family. One said “no mother was ever loved so much by her sons.”

In addition to her parents, Agnes was also preceded in death by her
husband, Carl Medford, who passed in 2008 and one brother, Roy Max
Nunley. She is survived by two sons, Michael Carl (Louise) Medford and
Mark Nunley Medford; grandchildren, Josh Medford, Greg Medford, Jessica
Medford and husband Joe Laurenzi, Michelle (Jason) Ferrell, James
(Shelly) Conn; great grandchildren, Hudson Medford, Glenn and Catherine
Laurenzi, Morgan and Macy Ferrell, Sarah, J.C. and Isaac Conn; one
sister, Mary Alice Booker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
