Carolyn Diane Franklin, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed this life on Sunday, April 16th, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 59. Carolyn was born in Tullahoma to the late Ruben H. and Angie Ulmer Franklin. She worked for over 40 years as an Account Manager at Genesco and enjoyed attending the Pentecostal Church of Jesus with her Father. Carolyn loved to travel, as well as being with her friends and family. She also loved to cook and catering was her passion. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Tina Barrett of Tullahoma; nephew, James “JR” Barrett and his wife Chelsea of Estill Springs; great niece and nephew, Emma and Jacob Barrett; niece, Amanda Baker and her husband Shane of Tullahoma; great nieces, Carlie and Daisy Baker; and nephew, Mike Frizsell and his wife Gatha of Lebanon. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Gault Cemetery in Moore County. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Katherine Anderson, age 82 of Hillsboro, will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Ham officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with grandsons and a great grandson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Anderson passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Harton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Anderson was born on March 26, 1935 in Tracy City, TN to the late Lloyd and Louella Owens Sanders. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary Katherine loved to cook and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Anderson; daughters, Virginia Johnson and Mylinda Cox. Survived by her sons, James Darrell Anderson, Joe Allen Anderson of Hillsboro; daughters, Janey (Arthur) Laney of Hillsboro, Jackie Anderson Dodson of Hillsboro; brothers, Lloyd Sanders of Manchester, Glen Sanders of Tracey City, Earl Sanders of Monteagle; sisters, Sally Dove of Tracey City, Imogene Stevens of Tracey City; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Clara Clementine Wiser, age 88, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Horizon Health and Rehab with her loving family at her side. Ms. Clara was born February 14, 1929 in Brawley, California to the late John Wesley and Carrie Anthoney Throneberry. Ms. Wiser married the late Thomas Allen Wiser and resided in Manchester.
She is survived by four children; Brenda Wiser of Manchester, TN, Blanca and (Druie) Shelton of LaVergne, TN, Lynn and (Jackie) of Manchester, TN, and Sheila Sheets of Lithopolis, Ohio, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and several family friends.

4/18/17 — James Thomas Elrod
Funeral services for Mr. James Thomas Elrod, age 94 of Manchester, will be conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 1 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Mike Sellars officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors. Visitation with the Elrod family will begin at 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home, until time of service. Mr. Elrod passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at McArthur Manor in Manchester, TN.
James was born on December 8, 1922 in Silver Point, TN to the late George and Maude Kittrell Elrod. He served his country in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946. After receiving an honorable discharge, James attended Tennessee Tech as an undergraduate and was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. He furthered his education at the University of Kentucky where he graduated with his master’s degree. James was retired from AEDC in Tullahoma, TN; he was a member of the TN Walking Horse Breeders Association, which added to the love he had for horses. Along with his love for horses, he enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He was also a long-time member of the Lions Club of Manchester.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ola Faye Sides Elrod, who passed away in 2010; one brother, George Elrod; four sisters, Maude Keasling, Henry Elrod, Geraldine Elrod, and Fannie Vinson. He is survived by his son, Dr. James Thomas Elrod, Jr. (Margaret) of Old Hickory, and daughter, Karen Rutland (Neil) of New Mexico; and four grandchildren, Alan Elrod, Andy Elrod, Emily Petre (Ollie), and Amanda Rutland.
Dr. Elrod and the family would like to thank the staff at McArthur Manor for the wonderful care they extended to their loved one for the last two years.

Mrs. Brown was born on August 29, 1930 to the late Mance and Dora Boyd Simmons. She enjoyed quilting and had a love for flowers of any kind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William “Willie” Brown; brothers, Valis, Walter and Howard Simmons. Elaine A Horrisberger of Manchester, went home to be with the Lord on
Monday, April 17, 2017 at her residence at the age of 82 years. Funeral

Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Conn officiating. Burial will
follow at 2 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro. Visitation
with the family will be Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William E and
Eleanor Keith Dyer. She was a nurse and worked for Red Cross for many
years. She attended the Break Free Worship Center in Tullahoma. She
enjoyed going for rides and reading the word of God. Her favorite activity
was sending cards of encouragement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters,
Barbara Macleod and Lois Hawley.
Mrs.Horrisberger is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ted Horrisberger
of Manchester; two daughters, Diane Smith and her husband, James of San
Cristobal, Mexico and Cynthia Adcock and her husband, Key of Manchester;
three grandchildren, Josh Alford and his wife, Bridget of Morrison, Lindsey
Patel and her husband, Bobby of Manchester and Trey Adcock and his wife,
Tabitha of Manchester; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.

Brenda Denise Dean passed away at the Lynchburg Nursing Center on April 15, 2017 at the age of 57.
A Baptist by faith, she was born in Marietta, Georgia on August 15, 1959 to the late Charles and Eloise Ledford Dean. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed fishing outings with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Callie Couch and her husband Brandon of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Also surviving are her brothers, Donald Dean and his wife Denise of Woodstock, Georgia and Denvil Dean and his wife Annette of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Grandson Gannon Couch survives.
Visitation with family members will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Lynchburg Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. from the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will be in the Lois Cemetery in Moore County.

Janice Brown Hawkins, age 62, passed away at her residence in Tullahoma, Tennessee on April 15, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1954 in Coffee County, Tennessee to the late James Thomas and Iva Christine Reed.
A Nazarene by faith she loved preaching the word of God and praying. She also enjoyed working in her yard where she planted flowers, trips to Ledford Mill, riding in the country and taking care of her dog AB.
She is survived by daughters Shelia Echols and her husband David of Tullahoma, Niki Marie Brown and Stefanie McBee also of Tullahoma. Surviving sisters are Mildred Thompson of Shelbyville, Mary Bingham and her husband David Majors of Shelbyville and Sharon Isbell and her husband William of Estill Springs.
Surviving grandchildren are Keith and Bradley Echols along with great grandchildren Keith Echols Jr., Harmoney Rayne Echols and Riley Jade Echols.
She was preceded in death by sisters Mattie Frazier and Linda Endsley along with brothers David, Jimmy, Jerry Ray and William Thomas Brown. Also preceding her in death were several half sisters and brothers.
Visitation with family members will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery.

Ralph Lee Richards, a resident of Tullahoma (Moore County), TN passed away
on Friday, April 14, 2017 at his residence at the age of 85 years. Funeral
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2 PM at the
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Lambert and Bro. Bill
Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow at Estill Springs Cemetery.

Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late George William and
Della Brown Richards. He worked for many years for B F Goodrich. He was
also a minister and served several Baptist Churches in the area including
Victory Baptist Church in Tullahoma and Bethany Baptist Church in
Shelbyville. He enjoyed making bullwhips and tinkering in his carpentry
shop doing woodworking and working on small engines. He loved people and
never met a stranger. He also had a great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Eva Nell
Richards who passed away on October 2, 2016. Mr. Richards passed away on
Friday, April 14, 2017 which would have been their 66th wedding anniversary.
He was also preceded in death by twelve older brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Darrel Richards and his wife, Sherry of
Lynchburg and Doug Richards and his wife, Debra of Tullahoma; one daughter,
Durinda Hale of Tullahoma; eight grandchildren and fifteen great
grandchildren.
