5/20/17 — Dortha “Dot” Rigsby McMahan

Funeral services for Ms. Dortha “Dot” Rigsby McMahan will be conducted on
Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11 AM at Manchester Funeral Home with Elder Keith
Sims officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 19, from 5-8 PM at the
funeral home. Ms. McMahan passed away Thursday, May 18 at Manchester
Healthcare Center in Manchester.

Ms. Dortha was born on August 26, 1931, to the late S.L. and Hersie Barnes
Elam, in Warren County, TN. She was a housewife who loved sewing, quilting,
cooking, watching sports (especially the Braves and UT) on TV, and singing
with the family gospel group, The Rigsby Family. Ms. Dot was a member of
the Shady Grove Baptist Church and a long-time member of the Shady Grove
Home Demonstration and Community Clubs.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Dot was preceded in death by her first
husband of 38 years, Bill Rigsby, her second husband of 19 years, Walter
Leighton McMahan, and one sister, Jimmie Sue Elam Vaughn. She is survived
by her daughters, Debbie Winton of Manchester, and Dianne (Lynn) Anderson
of the Shady Grove Community; five grandchildren, Chad (Lora) Winton,
Justin (Tara) Winton, Vicki Anderson, Jimmy (Nikki) Anderson, and Joseph
(Jessica) Anderson; and five great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Jacob, Lily, and
Hannah Anderson, and Max Winton.

Elizabeth Reeves of Manchester, passed this life on Thursday, May 18, 2017
at Manchester Healthcare at the age of 92 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with
the family will be Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson

A native of Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late J W and Gertrude
Clark Randall. Mrs. Reeves was the manager at Snow White and Rymers
Cleaners in Manchester. She was a member of First United Methodist Church
of Manchester. She enjoyed fishing, doing crossword puzzles and spending
time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed
riding motorcycles and went with her son on a motorcycle trip to Florida at
the age of 79. She also enjoyed going on car rides with her grandson,
Hogan when he was too young to drive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charlie Reeves.

Mrs. Reeves is survived by one son, Ronald Reeves of Manchester; two
grandchildren, Jamie Raney and her husband, Kevin of Manchester and Rhonda
Murray and her husband, Scott of Jackson and four great grandchildren,
Hogan and Lilee Scott and Olivia and Emma Murray.

Joseph Todd Leftwich

Joseph Todd Leftwich of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, May 18,
2017 at his residence at the age of 55 years. Memorial Services will be
held at a later date.

A native of Gadsden, AL, he was the son of Joseph Andrew Leftwich and
Gloria Jane Billingsley Leftwich. He was a U S Air Force veteran and had
worked at AEDC. He was a musician and enjoyed playing golf and softball.
He
also enjoyed photography.

In addition to his parents, Joseph Leftwich and his wife, Peggy of
Sylacauga and Gloria Jane Leftwich of Tullahoma, he is survived by one
daughter, Jordan Marie Leftwich of Fond Du Lac, WI; one sister, Wendy
Gilliam and her husband, David of McLean, VA; one grandchild, Jameson
Joseph Hendrickson and several nieces and nephews.

5/21/17 — Thomas William Barker

Thomas “Tommy” William Barker, age 66, departed this life on May 16, 2017, at the Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville surrounded by his loving wife and children. Tommy was born December 21, 1950 to the late Russell Thomas Barker and Mary Francis Dedrick Barker in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Virginia where he worked as a K-9 officer for Tri State Canine, and there while working met his wife, Charlotte Lillian Gray Barker of 42 years. Tommy was always actively supporting several organizations such as Pop Warner Football and Girls Basketball. He has been an active member of the North Coffee Volunteer Fire Dept. since 1992, and a Constable for Districts 10, 11, and 12 since 2010. Tommy was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of Bell Springs United Methodist Church. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Mary Hicks, and an aunt; Betty Hockins.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lillian Barker of Manchester, four children; Jimmy Landson of Lithia, FL, Dixie Branch (Phillip) of Manchester, TN, Thomas Barker (Tamera) of Manchester, TN, and George Barker (Emily) of West Palm, FL, nine grandchildren; Cage, Shelby, L.J., Andrew, Nathan, Jarred, Jaxson, Teagan, and Gracyn, two great-grandchildren; Kaiden and Millie, a sister; Nancy Hutcherson (Ricky) of WhiteHouse, TN, and two brothers; George Barker (Carol) of Junctor City, KS, and Robert Barker of Millersville, TN, several nieces, nephews and friends.

5/20/17 — Harriet Jane Moore

Harriet Jane Moore, age 92, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away into
rest on May 17, 2017 at NHC Trace, Nashville, Tennessee. She was born May
26, 1924 to parents Anthony and Louise Bescript in Philadelphia
Pennsylvania where she was schooled in academics and dance. As a young
woman, Harriet served her country during World War II as a government
inspector and subsequently met her husband Ernest Francis Moore, a career
officer United States Air Force. Their love endured for over 67 years and
continues through their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harriet will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother who embraced the
challenges of a military spouse, traveling the world with her children in
tow. She was an artist, a business woman and a green thumb gardener. For
many years she bred and raised exotic birds and was a huge fan of the
Irish sweepstakes. She always carried with her a sense of adventure and
optimism, believed in the power of prayer and loved being called
grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Francis Moore
and is survived by her three sons, Ernest F. Moore, Jr. and his wife
Angie of Franklin, TN, Kevin B. Moore and his wife Carole of Nashville,
TN and Timothy C. Moore of Washington,D.C.; Ellen Moore of Denver,
Colorado, and three daughters, Marilyn L. Sears and her late husband
Steve of Spokane, WA, Melody M. Schafer and her husband Klaus of McLean,
VA and Maria L. Barnwell and her husband Ed of Dallas, TX; eleven
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives
and friends.

5/20/17 — Mattie Sue Gibbs

Mrs. Mattie Sue Gibbs, age 77, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her Tullahoma residence on May 15, 2017.
She was born on August 20, 1939 to the late James Brown and Elizabeth Porter Riner in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
A Church of Christ by faith, she loved to crochet, quilt, read and cook for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Richard Gibbs of Tullahoma and daughters Esther Hamilton and her husband Mark of Tullahoma and Deborah Akers of Pueblo, Colorado. Surviving also are sisters Jane Forcier a resident of California, Peggy Nelson and her husband J.T. of Shelbyville, Tennessee and Jena Bryan and her husband James of Hillsboro, Tennessee. One brother Jim Riner and his wife Ricki, residence of Colorado also survive along with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be on May 19, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20 from the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma. Bill Cantrell will officiate.

5/18/17 — Cherry Gail Mason Russ

Funeral services for Mrs. Cherry Gail Mason Russ, age 75, of Manchester,
TN, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Barron officiating. Burial will
follow in Hurricane Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be
from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Cherry passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford
Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, surrounded by her loving family.

Cherry was born in Coffee County, TN the daughter of the late James
Stanley Mason, Sr. and Bessie Powers Mason. She was a secretary at
Hickerson Elementary School and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian
Church. Cherry enjoyed bookkeeping, reading and cooking, but most of
all, she loved spending time with her grandson, Nathaniel.

In addition to her parents, Cherry was also preceded in death by her
husband, Watt Russ; one daughter, Robin Russ; one brother, James Stanley
Mason, Jr.; and one sister, Phyllis Ann Swan. She is survived by one
son, Mason (Misti) Russ; one daughter, Shannon (Donnie) Frazier; one
brother, Joe (Sandi) Mason; one brother-in-law, Bobby Swan; three
grandchildren, Nathaniel Russ, Cole Frazier and Grant Frazier; and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Mary Carolyn Clay, age 81 of Manchester, passed away Friday evening,

5/30/17 — Charles Eugene Bray

Charles Eugene Bray of Mulberry, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 12,
2017 at the age of 78 years. Services are scheduled for 12:00 (noon) on
Tuesday, May 30, 2017; at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church,
Fayetteville, Tennessee. A reception and lunch will be held immediately
after the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the
charity of your choice.

Mr. Bray was the son of the late Vernon Charles Bray and Nellie Mae Phenix
Bray. He was born in Roger Mills, Oklahoma on February 27, 1939. He
served in the U. S. Navy for several years. And he later owned and
operated an appliance sales and service business in Espanola, New Mexico,
for many years. He met and married Sandra Bray in New Mexico; and they
moved to Tennessee, in 2000.

Mr. Bray, having started construction work with his father as a child,
enjoyed and continued construction work much of his life. His greatest
loves were fishing and being in the mountains of New Mexico. He had a
brilliant mind, engaged well with people, and had many talents including
working with computers.

Mr. Bray was preceded

In death by two sisters (Mary Elizabeth Robertson and Verna Ann Hankins)
and one brother (Fred Bray). He is survived by Sandra Bray of
Fayetteville, Tennessee; sister-in-law Candy Richard of Mulberry,
Tennessee; two brothers-in-law (Bill Richard, of Moore County, Tennessee,
and Graddy Richard, of Huntsville, Alabama); and (nephew) Jerry and Beth
Harris, of Amarillo, Texas.

5/15/17–Ted “Mark” Cornelison

Funeral services for Mr. Ted “Mark” Cornelison, age 54 of Manchester,
will
be held Monday, May 15, 2017 at 1PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will
follow in Ragsdale Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at
11AM until
1PM service time. Mr. Cornelison passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 10,
2017, at Tennova/Harton Hospital in Tullahoma.

Mark was born on December 8, 1962, in Coffee County, to the late Horace and
Iona Baltimore Cornelison. He was a mechanic at Hadden Motors in
Manchester. Mark loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and just being outside.

Mark is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Laura Martin Cornelison;
children, Elizabeth (Dustin) Padgett, Sarah (Jeff) Ferrell, Amy Coker,
Marcie (Eric) Phillips, Shawn and Clay Gassett; three brothers, Buddy Leon
(Glenda) Cornelison, Alexander Cornelison, and Kenneth (Barbara)
Cornelison; two sisters, Elma Jane Watters, and Dorothy Iona (Melvin) Ott;
nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
