Mary Elizabeth Baker
(April 18, 1925 – May 30, 2017)

Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Baker, age 92, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 12 till 2:00 for visitation and immediately following the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Mary was born in Altamont, TN the daughter of the late Raymond Brady and Stella Glenn Brady. Her husband, N.E. Baker along with sisters; Betty Sue Myers, Jessi Baker, Idamea Perry, Brothers; J.B. Brady and Sam Brady, a daughter Barbara Sue Craven, grandchildren; Roxie Nunley and Jason Baker proceded her in death. She is survived by her children Danny Baker of Manchester, TN, Carolyn Ann Gault of Manchester, TN, and Raymond Robert Baker and his wife Ruby of Manchester, TN, Eleven Grandchildren; Dusty Rollins, April Baker, Betty Jo Baker, Amanda Baker, Kelly Baker, Johnny Willoughby, Travis Willoughby, Stacey DeeAnn Baker, Stephanie DeeAnna Baker, Kevin Rollins and Tina Ibarra.

Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed her snuff and working vines. She also enjoyed going to family picnics because she could catch up on her family’s lives. If you asked her family, they would let you know she was a wonderful cook, hard worker, and a pretty good dancer when given the chance and liked setting around talking about the “good ole days”. Mary truly cherished life to its fullest and her wonderful family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made toward burial expenses.

LEIGHTON SIMMONS 
(September 7, 1921 - May 29, 2017) 



Leighton Simmons age 95, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away at his
residence with his loving family at his side on May 29, 2017. Leighton
was born in Manchester, to the late Sylvester and Theresia Vandergriff
Simmons. Leighton was also preceded in death by his loving wife Myrtle
Simmons.
Leighton was a self-employed contractor and was known for his perfection
in the work that he did. He is survived by two sons; Richard L. Simmons
and his wife Glenda of Manchester, D. Michael Simmons and his wife Martha
of Tullahoma, five grandchildren; Megan Gail Simmons Bryan of Manchester,
TN, Marcus David Simmons of Manchester, TN, Ryan Leighton Simmons, of
Willard, MO, Shannon Hope Simmons Charles of Nolensville, TN, and Shawna
Lynne Simmons Streeter of Franklin, TN, seven great-grandchildren;
William Tucker Bryan, Levi Simmons Bryan, Everett Decker Simmons, Braden
Charles Streeter, Dylan Ryan Streeter, Carleigh Lynne Charles, and
Leighton Mae Simmons and two brothers; Jennings Simmons of Huntsville, AL
and Marvin Simmons of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Mrs. Rosia L. Berry 84, of Tullahoma passed Saturday, May 28, 2017 at Life Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. John Berry and son, Larry Berry.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Tonia) Berry of Manchester, TN and Anthony Berry of Tullahoma, TN;

Two daughters, Delicia (Anthony) Wigfall of Tullahoma, TN and Chatina Berry of South Carolina.

Two brothers in law- Curtis (Peggy) Berry of Manchester, TN and Melvin (Suzanne) Berry of Jacksonville, Florida

A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

5/31/17—Wanda Faye Allen Bailey

WANDA FAYE ALLEN BAILEY
(October 26, 1941 – May 29, 2017)

Wanda Faye Allen Bailey, age 78, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away
into rest on May 29, 2017 at her home with her loving family at her
bedside. She was born October 26, 1941, to the late Everette Ralston and
Maude Louise Scruggs Allen of Summitville. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Howard Glenn Bailey, a grandson;Jay Christopher Lynn Bell, a
great-grandson; Brayden Marshall Jones, and a brother; Donnie Allen.
Before retirement, Wanda worked for 28 years at Carrier Manufacturing and
was a member of the Red Hill Church of Christ. After retirement, she
stayed very active being a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club, bowling,
coaching softball, and clogging with the Tennessee Rhythm Cloggers. Wanda
never met a stranger and she was loved by everyone who knew her. In the
words of her great-granddaughter, "The woman that was nothing less
than a fantastic role model and grandmother to everyone." Wanda will
be remembered as a kind hearted and bright spirited woman with a
beautiful smile.
Wanda is survived by two daughters; Debbie L. Vaughn of Manchester, TN,
Vhonda K. Jernigan and her husband Steve of Manchester, TN, five
grandchildren; Teshina Vaughn Church of Tullahoma, TN, Rhett Vaughn of
Manchester, TN, Cody Vaughn of Manchester, TN, Jasmine Jones of
Manchester, TN, and Harley Bennett of Manchester, TN, six
great-grandchildren; Christopher Collins, Kyla Nash, Layne Vaughn, Ella
Vaughn Gabriella Jones, and Jett Jones, four sisters; Vivian M. Benson,

Funeral Services for Mrs. Melanie Joyce Crosslin age 58 of Manchester
will be held 10:00AM Wednesday at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Benny
Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with
family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the Crosslin
family will be held Tuesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Crosslin passed away Sunday May 28, 2017 at her
residence.

Mrs. Crosslin is preceded in death by her parents; John Malcom and Alma
Viola Smartt Collins. She is also preceded by two brothers and one
sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years; Ronald
Crosslin, her son; Bradley Crosslin and his wife Ashley of Murfreesboro,
two grandchildren; Kennedi Crosslin and Connor Crosslin. She is also
survived by two special friends; Darla Rogers of Franklin County and
Sandi Sadler Craigue of Manchester.

Mrs. Crosslin was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

6/3/17 — Carl J. Buckner, Jr.

Carl J Buckner Jr. of Hillsboro, passed this life on Saturday, May 27, 2017
at Unity Medical Center at the age of 84 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Bonny Oak Cemetery in Coalmont. Visitation
with the family will be Saturday, June 3 from 11 AM till 1 PM.

A native of Decherd, he was the son of the late Carl and Lora Mae Lewis
Bucker. He attended the House of Truth Church in Manchester. Mr. Buckner
always had to stay busy and he enjoyed gardening and tinkering with things.
He also loved to watch car races. His favorite activity was traveling to
the Smoky Mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty May
Sweeton Buckner.

Mr. Buckner is survived by two daughters, Angela Hill and her husband,
Billy of Hillsboro and Tonya Lynn and her husband, Carl of Decherd;
brother, William Buckner and his wife Faye of Tullahoma; six grandchildren
and six great grandchildren.

Angela “Angie” Keasling Smith, age 48, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away into rest on May 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Winchester April 4, 1969 to parents Robert Anderson and Shirley Mae Condra Keasling.

Angie will be remembered as a housewife and homemaker that embraced life. She loved her children, her family, being spontaneous, being the life of the party, and most importantly the girl with a big heart.

Tamatha R Isbell of Manchester, passed this life on Friday, May 26, 2017 at
Tennova Healthcare – Shelbyville at the age of 48 years. No local services
are scheduled.

A native of Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Donald Eugene
“Bobby” Isbell and Betty Bagley Madison of Manchester. She enjoyed
coloring, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed being with
her friends and family.

Tamatha is survived by her mother and stepfather, Betty and Calvin Madison
of Manchester; step mother, Darlene Isbell of Vandiver, AL; husband, Mark
Hodges; sons, Jay Isbell of Ragland, AL, Chase Hodges of Murfreesboro,
Dakota Hodges of Murfreesboro and Tripp Hodges of Nashville; daughter,
Brittany Hodges and her husband, Lane of Gallatin; step brother, Brandon
Madison of Manchester; half-sister, Michelle Isabell of Manchester; step

Dorothy L. Schlagheck (95) passed away in her sleep Saturday morning, May
27, 2017. Dorothy was born in Toledo, OH and lived in Miami, FL and
Huntsville, AL. For the past 5 years, she lived near her son and his wife
in the Winchester, TN area. Dorothy loved traveling, playing cards, and
butterflies. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Albert and
grandson Troy. She is survived by her son Ron (Cecelia) and daughter Gay
Jean (Steve,) eight grandchildren, Paul (Debra,) Dawn (Bryan,) Robyn
(Brandie,) Tara (Adam,) James, Tiffany, Jennifer (X,) & Jeff, nine great
grandchildren, Lizanne, Joseph, Julia, Megan, Allison, Ryan, Seth, Croix,
Caneel, and Zoe, one great great granddaughter, Isabel, and many other

Jackie Vernon Shelton age 73, passed away May 24, 2017, at his home with
his loving family as his bedside. Jackie was born January 8, 1944 in
Beechgrove, to the late Clarence Shelton and Irene Majors Shelton. Jackie
was also preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Shelton.
Jackie Vernon being the true "Gardener" that he was opened and
operated along with his wife Evelyn a produce business that was known for
their fresh fruit and vegetables in Manchester for years.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his devoted wife Evelyn E. Shelton of
