6/9/17—William Harold Winstead

Graveside services for Mr. William Harold Winstead, age 91 of Manchester, will be conducted on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Winstead passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at his home.

William Harold Winstead was born on March 28, 1926. He was a 1943 graduate of Coffee County Central High School. He was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran serving in WWII. Mr. Winstead was retired from AEDC, a member of the DAV and a member of the SCV.

Survived by his loving wife, Mary Winstead; sons, Steven Winstead, Scott Winstead and Curtis Winstead; brother, Lloyd Winstead; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

6/6/17-Bascom Eugene Clabough

Bascom Eugene ; Clabough, age
84, entered into rest June 4, 2017, at the St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital
in Murfreesboro with his loving family at his bedside. Gene was born in
Maryville, Tennessee to the late Bascom H. Clabough and Melinda S. Keller
Clabough. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher
Phillip Lunsford.
Gene was married to his loving and devoted wife Carolyn Christopher
Clabough. He loved his family and was a great husband, father, and
grandfather, a faithful christian and an active member of the Forest Mill
Methodist Church. He was a very hard worker and provided very well for
his family. He was a Honorary Board Member of the Coffee County Fair, a
Certified Dental Technician for 52 years and the owner of Tullahoma
Dental Lab for 56 years. He was a gentle soul and will be missed by all
that knew and loved him.
Gene is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Christopher Clabough,
five children; Chris Clabough and his wife Janet of Hendersonville,
Carolyn Frame and her husband Flint of Manchester, Caren Lunsford and her
husband Phillip of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Cathy Socha and her husband Dale
of Manchester, Lisa Parks and her husband Steve of Manchester, 24
grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren
and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Forest
Mill Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Memory of : Bascom

6/5/17 — William Harold Ferrell

Funeral services for Mr. William Harold Ferrell, age 86 of Manchester,
will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 2 PM at Manchester Funeral Home with
Brother Ralph Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Gilley Hill Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin at NOON until time of service at the
funeral home. Mr. Ferrell passed away on Sunday, June 04, 2017, at
Manchester Health Care Center.

Harold was born on November 2, 1930, to the late Willie Thomas and
Octavia Evans Ferrell, in Coffee County. He was proud to have served his
country in the United States Army in Korea and was a retired employee of
Carrier, Inc. He attended the Red Hill Church of Christ in Manchester.
Harold loved working in the garden.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife of
52 years, Jennie Thelma Cawthorn Ferrell, two sons, Randy and Danny
Ferrell, and two sisters, Henrietta Cole and Harley Britton. He is survived
by his daughter, Kathy (Clay) Carney of Manchester; grandchildren, Joshua
(Nicole) Carney, Rachel Carney (Joshua) Wells, and Blake Ferrell; four
great grandchildren, Sydney and Micah Wells, and Daxton and Fletcher
Carney; two sisters, Hazel Nance and Helen Quinn, and a host of friends.

Dianna Marie Hedgepeth

Dianna Marie Hedgepeth of Winchester, passed this life on Saturday, June 3,
2017 at her residence at the age of 57 years. No local services are
scheduled.

A native of Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late
Ronald Farley and Mary Maynard Dials of Columbus, Ohio. She was a member
of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. She enjoyed
crocheting, working word puzzles, cooking, reading her Bible and checking
in on her Facebook page. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roger
Keith Kirk.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Dials of Columbus, OH; husband,
Christopher Hedgepeth of Winchester; one son, Dustin Hedgepeth of
Murfreesboro; one daughter, Aftin Hedgepeth of Murfreesboro, step daughter,
Christine Hedgepeth and her husband, Brian Stephens of West Virginia;
brothers, Michael Farley and his wife, Samantha Henson of Columbus, OH,
David Dials and his wife, Jackie of Columbus, OH and Adam Farley of OH;
sisters, Tammy Hanson of Columbus, OH, Connie Parsons and her husband,
Keith of Darbydale, OH, Eugenia Barney and her husband, David of
Winchester; Della and Kathy Farley of Ohio; four grandchildren, Madison,
Izabella and Aubrie Bennington and Callie Stephens and many loving nieces
and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Jernigan Burks age 94 of the Gossburg
community of Coffee County, TN will be held Monday, June 05, 2017 at
3:00pm at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in James K.
Polk Robinson Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 1:00PM until time of service on Monday
at the funeral home. Mrs. Burks passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at
St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Burks was the daughter of the late Luke and Mary Robinson Jernigan.
She is also preceded by her husband; Willie Ray Burks, brothers; Bart
Jernigan, Burl Jernigan, Luke Jernigan, Jr., Eugene Jernigan and sisters;
Jewel Jernigan, Vera Stafford and Ruby Thompson. She is survived by
daughters; Beverly Parker and Ann Parker, both of Manchester, and Nina
McKnight and her husband Jameson of Beechgrove. She is also survived by
grandchildren; Nicky Lowe, Yvonne Norton, Yvette McQuiston, 3
great-grandchildren; Nichole Baldwin, John Montgomery, Hannah David and 7
Great-Great- Grandchildren.

Mrs. Burks was a member of Bradyville Church of Christ. She was a former
Chairman of the Board at Coffee County Medical Board, Coffee County
Commissioner, Tennessee Health Facilities Commission, and Who’s Who of
American Women.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to
World Outreach Church Media Center.

6/4/17 — Dwight Lee Brown

Mr. Dwight Lee Brown, age 72 of Manchester, passed away at his home.
Services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Wesley Chapel at 2PM with
Brad McAfee officiating.

Dwight was born on January 30, 1945, to the late Buford Blanton Brown, Sr.
and Ann Cunningham Brown in Coffee County, TN. He was a retired factory
worker of Warnaco Corporation in Murfreesboro and a member of the
Summitville Baptist Church.

Dwight is survived by his two sons, Gary Brown of Manchester and Terry
(Laurie) Brown of Rockwood, TN; two brothers, Buford Brown, Jr. and David
(Gloria) Brown, both of Manchester; three sisters, Greta (Sam) Dajani of
Manchester, Karen Daniel of North Carolina, and Cindy (Sammy) Anderson of
Manchester; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Mary Ellen Johnson of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, May 31,
2017 at her residence at the age of 53 years. Memorial services are
scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 7 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 6, from 5 PM until
the service time.

A native of Marietta, GA, she was the daughter of the late James and Ellen
Hubbard New. She enjoyed drawing, working jigsaw puzzles and writing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter,
Lydia Mae Johnson and two brothers, Dennis and Bobby New.

She is survived by her boyfriend, Anthony Delvalle of Tullahoma; one son,
Daniel “DJ” Johnson and his wife, Danielle of Manchester; one daughter,
Kimberly Johnson and her husband, Eric Ensey of Manchester; one sister,
Linda Hollingsworth and her husband, Mike of North Carolina and four
grandchildren, Skylar Grace, Destiny Faith and Addyson Breann Johnson and
Aubrey Ensey.

6/3/17—Terry Allen Foote

Mr. Terry Allen Foote, age 55 years 4 months and 27 days, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Unity Medical Center. There are no services scheduled at this time, but a “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
Terry was the son of Mr. Billy Joe and the late Sarah Medlin Foote. He was born on January 4, 1962, in Ripley, MS.
In addition to his father, Billy Joe, Terry is survived by his wife of three and a half years, Robin McNeil Foote of Manchester; one son, Jeffrey (Heather) Foote of Cullman, AL; three daughters, Kristin (Theo) Munger and Terrah Foote of Cullman, AL, and Kaitlin Dolfi of Bloomingdale, OH; one brother, Donald Foote of West Virginia; and three grandsons and three granddaughters.

Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Lynn Jackson, age 94, of Tullahoma, TN,
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Rose Hill
Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors. Visitation with the
family will be from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Saturday at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel. Mr. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at TN
State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mr. Jackson was born in Sturgis, MS, the son of the late Paul Green and
Edna Elizabeth Pugh Jackson. He was retired from military service as a
Chief Master Sergeant and was an electronic engineer for NASA.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was also preceded in death by his
first wife, Elizabeth Jackson; a brother, Eugene Jackson; and two
sisters, Lurleen Ward and Wynell McGinnis. He is survived by his wife,
Frieda Jackson; one son, Paul (Kendra) Jackson; one daughter, Elizabeth
“Joy” (Bob) Tooley; grandchildren, Alyssa Grew, Levi Jackson, Serena
Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson, Matyse Jackson, Matthew (Tiffany) Shufelt and
Stephen Shufelt; and three great grandchildren, Amelia, Matthew, and
Jackson Shufelt.
