6/18/17 — Marvin Curtis Stepp

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Curtis Stepp, age 89, of the Noah
Community, TN, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at
Bell Springs United Methodist Church in Noah with Pastor Roger Brown
officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Sunday at the
church. Mr. Stepp passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. Thomas
West Hospital in Nashville, TN and entered into his eternal life.

Marvin was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Ewin and Ethel
Bailey Stepp. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a
mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Marvin was a member of Bell
Springs United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School for 64
years. In earlier years, Marvin continued the legacy of the W.O. Stepp
General Store in Noah, where he worked hard to provide for his family.
The way he lived his life reflected his love for the Lord Jesus Christ
and his family.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by two sisters,
Elaine Stepp Parchment and Annelle Story Barley. He is survived by his
loving wife of 55 years, Elna Robinson Stepp; one daughter, Lynette
(Cameron) Bennett of Nashville; one son, Curtis G. Stepp of Nashville;
grandchildren, Charity Lynette Bennett and Charles Phillip Bennett;
nieces and nephews, Don, Marisa and Craig Story, Ralph and Steven
Parchment; and a host of friends and family.

6/19/17–Doris J Christenson

Doris J Christenson of Tullahoma passed this life on Wednesday, June 14,
2017 at her residence at the age of 80 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with
the family will be Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home.

A native of East Moline, IL, she was the daughter of the late Russell and
Alice Irene Decapp Gromm. Doris was special to everyone that met her and
was lovingly called “Memaw” by many. She loved children and always had a
houseful. As her children were growing up she was very involved with their
activities, being the “Mom” who was always willing to help out. She
enjoyed traveling, doing ceramics and sewing. She often sewed for others,
making cheerleading outfits, pageant dresses and wedding attire. She also
exhibited her love for children by making cloth books and blankets for St.
Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rich
Gromm.

Mrs. Christenson is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard
Christenson of Tullahoma; two sons, Stephen Richard Christenson and his
wife, Carla of Estill Springs and Michael John Christenson of Tullahoma;
five daughters, Debra Jean Johnson and her husband, Gary of Tullahoma,
Denise Ann Winton Christenson of Tullahoma, Sherry Lynn Cates and her
husband, Bobby of Tullahoma, Rhonda Lee Christenson and her husband, David
of Tullahoma and Dana Marie LeGuene and her husband, Jonathon of Tullahoma;
brother, Wayne Gromm and his wife, Phyllis of Moline, IL; thirteen
grandchildren, Daisy, Brandy, Katrina, Joshua, Jeremy, Stacey, Joy,
Timothy, Jordan, Alex, AshLee, Tyler and Dylan and eight great
grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to
St, Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 256 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN

6/16/17 — Donna Joy Willis

Funeral services for Donna Joy Willis, age 57 of Manchester, will be conducted on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Jon Bell and Brother Chris Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Friday, June 16, 2017 from 11:30 A.M. until service time at 12:30 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home. Ms. Willis passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hospital.
Donna was a very loving and devoted mother, sister and Nonnie. She was a very hard worker with a bubbly personality. Donna was a friend to all that she ran across; she never met a stranger. Her life was filled with her beloved son Jared, family, friends and her precious beloved dog, Abby. Being outside and at the farm gave her the happiest moments in her life.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Elizabeth Willis; grandparents John and Maggie Willis and Gilliam and Annie Carr. She is survived by her son Jared Willis; sisters Linda Crosslin (Richard), Sharon Eaves, Debbie Hensley (Greg); brothers David Willis (Sue) and Dale Willis (Dawn); 26 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews; many close friends, extended family and all who called her “Momma Donna”.

Christopher A McLaughlin of Manchester passed this life on Tuesday, June
13, 2017 at his residence at the age of 31 years. Memorial services are
scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 5 – 7
PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Cobb County, GA he was born on June 19, 1985. He was a U S
Army veteran. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed playing video
games. He was a hard working family man and enjoyed spending time with his
children.

Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his wife, Sarah McLaughlin; mother, Kimberly
Luna Sanchez; step father, Armando Camoncho; daughters, Ashlynn Domdera,
Madison Chapin and Stormy Rae McLaughlin; mother-in-law, Hazel Stacey and
her husband, Rickey; father-in-law, Thomas McLaughlin and his wife, Joan;
brothers, Oscar and Hector Sanchez; sister, Shannon Sanchez; aunt, Maggie
Mary Bayne; good friends, Crystal and Jason Buckner and many aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

6/15/17 — Charles Stanley Pierce

Charles Stanley “Stan” Pierce, age 84, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at his home with his loving family at his bedside. Stan was born to the late Lawrence Leland Pierce and Amy Polland Pierce. He was also preceded in death by a sister; Norma Jean Pierce Matlock.

Charles Stanley “Stan” is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jean Tolliver Pierce. Stan retired as Tech Sergeant after 23 years in the Air Force. He then spent over 20 years with the Manchester Police Department. He also worked for the Cowan Police Dept. after several more years. After retirement, his hobbies included woodworking, copper smithing, reading westerns, working crossword and sudoku puzzles. His most recent accomplishment was being awarded a Korean War Veteran Honorary Diploma December, 2013. Stan is also survived by a daughter; Valerie A. Maples and her husband Mike of Tullahoma, TN, three grandchildren; Joshua Painter and his wife Paty of South Florida, Lindsey Becker and her husband Wes of Franklin, TN, and Jonathan Painter of Manchester, TN, one great-granddaughter, and a sister; Betty Nell Pierce.

6/16/17 — Joseph M. Johnson

Joseph M Johnson of Manchester passed this life on Monday, June 12, 2017 at
his residence at the age of 74 years. Funeral services are scheduled for
Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial
to follow at Gum Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday,
June 16, 2017 from 11 AM – 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Grundy County, he was the son of the late Claude and Goldie
Payne Johnson. He was a mechanic and loved working on any kind of
engine. He
was a member of the Common Salvation Church in Manchester. He enjoyed
gardening, farming and fishing. He had a special love for animals and his
favorite times were spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie
Mae McMahan Johnson; daughter, Lydia Johnson; brothers, James, Clinton,
Anthony, Lewis and Richard Johnson and sisters, Ruth Kilgore and Brenda
Moon.

Mr. Johnson is survived by sons, Daniel “D J” Johnson and his wife,
Danielle of Manchester and Joey Johnson and his wife, Becky of Tullahoma;
daughters, Kimberly Johnson and her husband, Eric Ensey of Manchester,
Sarah Johnson of Morrison and Trish Herrin and her husband, Kenneth of
Tullahoma; brother, Gerald Johnson of Shelbyville; sisters, Katie Judge and
her husband, Kenneth of Manchester and Janie Crouch and her husband, Roy of
Tullahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Skylar Grace, Destiny Faith and Addyson
Breann Johnson, Aubrey Ensey, Lakishia Bryant, Tiffany Johnson, A J and
Heather Herrin, Heather Hodges, Chrystal Rigsby and Matthew, Morgan and
Brenda Johnson and thirteen great grandchildren.

6/17/17 — J.I. Daniel

J.I. Daniel, age 87, passed away at the
Harton Regional Medical Center on June 6, 2017. J.I. was born on April
19, 1930, in Readyville, Tennessee to the late Jim Ike and Kate Jane
Vaught Daniel. J.I. was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Daniel.
He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Senior Citizens Civic
Center, and the Asbury Methodist Church.
J.I. is survived by three children; John M. Daniel and his wife Cindy,
Jim P. Daniel and his wife Kim, and Linzy W. Daniel and his wife Terri,
six grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

6/14/17 — Thurmon A. Vann

A Catholic funeral mass for Mr. Thurmon A. Vann, age 85 of Manchester, will be conducted on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with Father Klassik officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Vann passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Manchester Healthcare Center.

Thurman A. Vann was born on December 13, 1931 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Ira and Nannie Decker Vann. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church where he served on many committees. He was a retired United States Army and Marine veteran. He was a commander of the VFW, Post 5031 and he also drove a transportation van for the local disabled veterans. In former years, Mr. Vann was affiliated with the Jaycee’s of Manchester. Mr. Vann had a love for woodworking and fishing. He was known by many as “T.A. Vann the Handyman”.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Sally Mary McLaughlin Vann; brothers, Talmage Vann, Ira Vann, Jr., Louis Hendrix; sisters, Ella Pearl Newlin, Mary Corneilson, Willa Dean Adams, son, Patrick Vann; daughter, Ingrid Vann. Survived by his sons, Mark Vann (Christy) of Manchester, Kevin Vann of Manchester; daughter, Michelle Darr (Tim) of Hillsboro, Eileen Watson (Jimmy) of Manchester, Stephanie Moore (Mike) of Manchester, Renee Pierce (Tim) of Alpheritta, GA; sisters, Fay Galligan, Carylon Jones, Evangeline Floyd; grandchildren, Patricia Neal, David Grant, Brittany Moore-C’debaca, Kayla Aaron, Sarah and Lauren Pierce; great-grandchildren, Karly and Kirsten Neal, Neyland and Norah Grant.

Peggy A Jacocks of Tullahoma passed this life on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at
NHC of Tullahoma at the age of 78 years. Funeral services are scheduled for
Friday, June 9, 2017 at 3 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial
to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be
Friday, June 9, 2017 from 1-3 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

A native of Gadsden, AL, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Verda
Weems. She was an accountant and enjoyed shopping, traveling and watching
old movies. She also loved to decorate and especially loved Christmas time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James
Jacocks and sister, Betty Grogan.

Mrs. Jacocks is survived by two sons, John Jacocks and his wife, Sherri of
Tullahoma and Steve Jacocks of Manchester and two grandchildren, Kelsey and
Allison Jacocks.

6/9/17—Patrick Lane Russell

Patrick Lane Russell of Tullahoma, beloved husband and father, passed from
this life into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Thomas
Midtown Hospital in Nashville, after a short illness. No services are
scheduled.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Hugh and Oca Mae
Norris Russell. He was an auto mechanic who loved collecting and working
on cars. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers,
Richard and Joe Russell and his sister, Marilyn Russell Brazier.

Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Nannie Stricklin Russell; two sons,
Greg Russell and his wife, Renee and Christian Russell; two brothers, Jim
Russell and his wife, Joy and Hugh “Stuffy” Russell and his wife, Shirley
and numerous nieces and nephews.
