7/3/17–Betty Jo Chisam Kirkland

*Betty Jo Chisam Kirkland age 87 of Tullahoma passed away Thursday June 29,
2017. A native of White County, she was the daughter of the late Newt and
Mary Elizabeth Sparkman Chisam. She is also preceded in death by her
husband; Charles D. Kirkland, four brothers; Charles Chisam, Lloyd “Buck”
Chisam, Tommy Chisam, James Chisam, five sisters; Bonnie Glazier, Mildred
Vann, Lenora Hobbs, Eva Mae Conry, and Mamyie Ruth Chisam. She is survived
by numerous nieces and nephews.*

*Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Monday July 3, 2017 with visitation
one hour prior to service at Manchester Funeral Home with Brother Ralph
Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. *

7/7/17–Barbara Jean Holder

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Holder, age 75, of Beechgrove, TN, will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Virgil Alford officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Barbara passed away on June 28, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Harton in Tullahoma, TN, following a motor vehicle accident.

Barbara was born in Tullahoma, TN, the daughter of the late Freeman Cartner and Ida Mae Frye Meadows, who survives. She was active with the senior citizens in the community. Barbara had a caring spirit and loved her family.

In addition to her father, Barbara was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Holder; one grandchild, Dustin Holder; and one brother, Orville Ward. She is survived by her mother, Ida Mae Frye Meadows; two sons, Joe and David Holder; one brother, Wayne Ward; grandchildren, Jay Holder, Jennifer Frye, Bobbie Holder, David Holder, Jr., Mitchell Holder, Shane Holder, Jeremy and Jenna Bailey; and several great grandchildren.

6/30/17–Naola Shelton

Naola Shelton age 86 of Manchester passed away Thursday June 29, 2017 at
Manchester Health Care Center. Visitation with the Shelton family will be
Friday June 30, 2017 from 2:00PM until time of Funeral service at 4:00PM at
Manchester Funeral Home with Minister Jerry Whilhoit officiating. Burial
will follow in Fredonia Cemetery family and friends serving as pallbearers.*

*Mrs. Shelton was a native of Coffee County, she was the daughter of the
late Almond and Annie Mae Spry Perry. She is also preceded in death by her
husband John W. Shelton, Jr., and 12 brothers and sisters.*

*She is survived by her sons; Don (JoAnne) Shelton of Manchester, Richard
(Paige) Shelton of Franklin County, Stacy (Stacey) Shelton of Lenoir City,
daughter; Elaine (David) Connor of Hillsboro. She is also survived by her
grandchildren; Jennifer Shelton, Dale Shelton, Josh Shelton, Jeremy Banks,
Stephanie Cornelison, LaKeisha James Shelton Cody James Shelton and 6
great-grandchildren.*

*Mrs. Shelton was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ. She loved to
collect dolls and angels.*

6/30/17 — Rickey Dale Ferrell

Funeral services for Mr. Rickey Dale Ferrell, age 58, of Normandy, TN,
will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dewey Smith officiating. Visitation with the
family will be from 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral
home. Mr. Ferrell passed away at his residence on June 26, 2017.

Rickey was born in Bedford County, TN to the late J. D. and Virginia
Harpole Ferrell. He was employed at Worth Bat Factory for many years.
Rickey enjoyed fishing and playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Rickey was also preceded in death by one
sister, Joyce Mixon; and two brothers, James Leroy Ferrell and Mike
Ferrell. He is survived by his spouse/partner of 26 years, Tammy
Ferrell; two daughters, Krystle Faith Brinkley and husband, Shannon, and
Julie Ruth Jernigan and spouse, Michael Holloman; seven grandchildren,
Cole, Taylor, SJ, Sadie, Malaki, Myles, and Mason; and six siblings,
Donnie Ray (Jannie) Ferrell, Robert (Barb) Ferrell, Ronald Franklin
Ferrell, Linda Ferrell Crowley, Sandi (Keith) Conn, and J.D. (Sally)
Ferrell, Jr.

7/1/17–Kenny Ray Walden

Kenny Ray Walden age 57 of Smyrna passed away Monday June 26, 2017. Visitation will be 11:00am until time of service at 1:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Walden is preceded in death by his mother Gayle Walden. He is survived by his father; Elbert “Cotton” Walden of Smyrna, sister; Kathy Runge and her husband Brad of LaVergne, brother; David Walden, Sr. and his wife Paula of Knoxville, nephews; David Walden, Jr., Brett Runge and great-nephew; David Walden III.

Mr. Walden was a 1979 graduate of Smyrna High School. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan. Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

6/28/17–Nancy Ann Rhoton

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Ann Rhoton, age 59, of Manchester, TN,
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Holland Hill Cemetery. Visitation
with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening at
the funeral home. Mrs. Rhoton passed away at her residence on Sunday,
June 25, 2017.

Nancy was born in Elora, TN, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen
Hall Partin. She was a secretary for Alford’s Saw Mill. Nancy enjoyed
cooking, riding four wheelers and motorcycles, shooting turkeys, and
playing video games. She loved being a Nana to her family and was called
“Mama Nancy”.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Rex Rhoton; one son,
Richie Hathaway; two daughters, Rhonda Hathaway and Brenda Hastings; one
sister, Sherry Curry; six grandchildren Diana Curry, Tasha Jones, Brooke
Alford Smith, Richard Paul Hathaway, Carol Ann Hathaway, and Sierra
Harris; and six great grandchildren, Mia, Dallas, Allison, Candice,
Audrey, and Jackson.

6/26/17 — Donald Edwin Toler

Donald Edwin Toler, also known to many as “Mr. Pride & Joy” passed this life peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the National Health Care Center of Tullahoma after suffering a stroke on June 19, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM, Grace Baptist Church in Tullahoma with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Don was employed and retired from the Indiana Oxygen Company of Indianapolis after 25 years there.
He enjoyed doing repair jobs at home and was an avid worker of many kinds of puzzles, but his daily joy was working for a nonprofit known as The Attic Outlet. Donald was a faithful Christian and member of Grace Baptist Church of Tullahoma.
Donald is survived by his wife Joyce to whom he was a dedicated husband of 53 years, and his brother Paul V. Toler of Indianapolis, brother-in-law Charles Maddle (Nellie), niece Karla Maddle Smith (Jonathan), nephew Martin Maddle (Tommie) all of Tullahoma and foster granddaughter, Pennie Price of Indianapolis, sister-in-law Louise Maddle, niece Wanda Maddle of Rock Island, best friend and coffee buddy Jim Condra as well as several great nieces and nephews.

6/24/17 — Lucille S. Lundquist

Lucille Lundquist, age 82, passed away at
the St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro on June 21, 2017, with
her family at her side. Lucille was born to her parents, the late Adrian
Sandstrom and Emma Erickson Sandstrom, on May 31, 1935, in Jamestown, New
York. Lucille was also preceded in death by her loving husband Charles M.
Lundquist.
Before retirement, Lucille was an Executive Secretary at the Arnold
Engineering Research Organization. After retirement, Lucille enjoyed time
with her family and continued her talents. Lucille was a lifetime artist.
Her cotton fields are a southern specialty that are known throughout the
world. Lucille has been a lifetime original member of the Foothill Craft
Store and an avid supporter. She also was very supportive of the
Millennium Repertory and Manchester Art Center. She held many positions
on the board and participated in many plays.
She is survived by three sons; Mark Lundquist and his wife LeeAnn of
Manchester, Mike Lundquist and his wife Monie of Manchester, and David
Lundquist of Murfreesboro, five grandchildren; Cassie Devente and her
husband Levi, Dylan, Charlie Mae, Maya, and Caleb, three sisters; Elaine
Gregory, Helen McCarty, Virginia Chase, a brother; Ivan Sandstrom, and
several nieces, nephews, and friends.

6/25/17 — Russell G. Church

Russell G Church of Estill Springs passed this life on Wednesday, June 21,
2017 at Southern TN Regional Medical Center in Winchester at the age of 37
years. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Concord Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 5-8 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mr. Church was born on March 12, 1980 in Tullahoma, the son of Rick and
Karen Hale Church of Estill Springs. He was a member of Shady Grove Church
of the Nazarene and enjoyed drawing, reading and collecting Comic books.

He is preceded in death by grandfather, Bobby Hale and grandparents, J C
and Polly Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Shirley Hale
of Estill Springs; girlfriend, Jessica Partin of Winchester; aunts, Diana
Gilliam and her husband, Bill of Alto, Betty McGowan and her husband, Steve
of Manchester and Pam Lawson and her husband, Mike of Manchester; uncles,
Allen Hale of Murrells Inlet, SC and Chris Hale and his wife, Dana of
Estill Springs; special little friend, Laura Steele and several cousins.
