Douglas C. Nevill

Douglas C. Nevill of Manchester passed this life on Sunday, January 16,
2022 at the age of 78.  Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January
23, 2022 at 10 AM at Hurricane Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Neville, a native of Manchester, TN was the son of the late Garlon and
Amanda Aldridge Nevill.  He enjoyed shooting pool, gardening, coin
collecting, working with leather, fixing old cars and playing his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Connell
Nevill and Roger Son and sisters, Wilda and Helen.  He is survived by
daughters, Connie Tabor (Mike) of Jackson, KY and Linda Fenner (Troy) of
Tullahoma; brother, Bobby Nevill (Joy) of Manchester; sister, Judy Jones of
Manchester; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Betty Jo Wimley

Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Jo Wimley, age 69 of Manchester, will be conducted on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 2 PM, with Bro. Virgil Alford officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 Noon until time of service at the funeral home on Thursday. Mrs. Betty passed away on Saturday, January 15, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Betty was born on February 5, 1952, to the late J.C. and Zella West Crocker in Woodbury, TN. She was a homemaker and attended the Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma before her health declined. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Harold Wimley, and her son, Tim Wimley and his wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Jeramiah Lee Wimley, Christopher Dale Wimley, Tyler Ramsey, and Marley Wimley; several extended family members and a host of friends.

Brenda Sarah Teague Jackson

Brenda Sarah Teague Jackson, age 69, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, died Tuesday,
January 18, 2022 at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital. A celebration of life
service will be held at a later time.

She was born in Ellijay, Georgia, the daughter of the late Cecil Teague and
Lavern Sutton Teague. Her best loved job was counseling and helping others
though her job as a NAADAC Counselor at Buffalo Valley and was a member of
the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and will be
remembered as a kind and loving person by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson,
Jaden Davis and brothers, Jackie Teague and Jerald Teague. She is survived
by sons, Derek Teague (Jackson) of Tullahoma and Wade Dunn (Meredith) of
Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Leslie Davis (Tony) of Goodlettsville,
Tennessee; grandchildren, Cody Davis, Olivia Davis, Dylan Dunn, Lily Dunn
and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Kinser of Ellijay, Georgia,
Lucy Teague of Asheville, North Carolina, Janette Cathey of Lewisburg,
Tennessee, Barbara Walters of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; brother,
Phillip Teague of Lewisburg and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Jean Felts

Dorothy Jean Felts of Tullahoma passed this life peacefully on Monday,
January 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89 years.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 1 PM at
Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Felts was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Ruby; her
husband of 65 years, Doyle Felts; two sisters and two brothers. She is
survived by her children, Mark Felts (Gaye), Cathy Herald (Stephen), Mike
Felts (Lori) and Brad Felts (Lindsay); one sister, Mary Rose; ten
grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Dot, as she was lovingly called, attended Wilson Avenue Church of
Christ for many years and worked there part-time as the church secretary.
She was a homemaker most of her life but in later years worked for “Kool
Kids”. She loved being around children. She loved animals of all kinds, but
especially her cats. Dot loved the Lord and adored her family.

Peggy Neal Todd Banks

Mrs. Peggy Neal Todd Banks, age 81, of Normandy, TN,
passed from this life on Monday, January 17, 2022, at her residence with
her family by her side. Mrs. Banks was born in Rutherford Co., TN, to her
late parents Willie Jonathan Todd and Mary Elizabeth Phelps Todd. She had a
green thumb, loved everything to do with flowers, and could grow anything.
Mrs. Banks loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and
loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her siblings, Rolly Todd, Roy Todd, Wanda Nipper, and Jean Alsup. Mrs.
Banks is survived by her husband of 66 and a half years, H. Vincent Banks;
sons, Phillip Vincent (Linda) Banks and Paul Jonathan (Connie) Banks;
daughter, Rhonda Faye (Albert) Banks; brothers, Frank Todd and Charles
Todd; sister, Lois Lloyd; grandchildren, Andrea (Dustin) Prince, Ashley
(Cliff) Bowman, Megan Banks, Willie Banks, and Brittney (Jason) Sells;
great grandchildren, Noah Bowman, Jonah Bowman, Norah Bowman, Piper Prince,
Joe Sells, Luke Sells, and Caleb Sells. Visitation with the family will be
on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Central Funeral
Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be conducted immediately
following visitation at 3:00pm with Bro. Leon Williams and Bro. Jason Sells

Virgil Allen Plummer

Mr. Virgil Allen Plummer, age 66, of Manchester,
TN, passed from this life on Monday, December 13, 2021, in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Plummer was born in Corpus Christi, TX, to his late parents Jesse
Plummer and Alpha Lorene Harper Plummer. He was a construction supervisor
for most of his career building power plants across the country. Mr.
Plummer enjoyed anything to do with motorcycles and loved riding his
Harleys. He was a proud member in the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle
Club. He served our country in the Army and was stationed in Korea during
the Vietnam War. He later served in the US Navy and travelled all over the
world with his military duties. Mr. Plummer is survived by his wife of 16
years, Christine Plummer; son, Jesse Plummer; brother, Ed Collins, and
step-sons Daniel Bentz and Samuel Bentz. Visitation with the family will be
held Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12noon until 1:00pm with a Celebration
of Life service at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Central Funeral Home.

Lucille D. Brown

Funeral services for Ms. Lucille D. Brown, age 84 of Manchester, will be conducted at 11:00AM on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Paynes Cemetery in Estill Springs, TN.  The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the funeral home.  Ms. Brown passed from the life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Elk River Health & Rehab in Fayetteville, TN. 

Lucille was born in Cullman, Alabama on September 6, 1937, the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys Dale.  Lucille was very active in her church, Temple Baptist, and often she taught Sunday School and worked on the church bus.  She was known as everyone’s “Granny,” and she would take care of anyone.  Lucille was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. 

In addition to her parents, Lucille is also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Paul Dale and John David Dale; sister, Louise Nevill; grandson, Johnny James Robert Brown.  She is survived by her sons, Robert Paul Brown (Phillis), James Albert Brown, and Johnny D. Brown (Star); daughter, Brenda J. Garner (Bruce); granddaughter that she raised, Sherrie Vassar; sisters, Eunice N. York and Lula Mae Blanton; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Janey Ruth Laney

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Janey Ruth Laney, age 67 of Hillsboro, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Manchester Funeral Home.  Mrs. Laney passed from this life on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

Janey was born in Grundy County, Tennessee on April 12, 1954, the daughter of the late William and Mary Anderson.  Janey was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gambling, fishing, taking walks, and watching the Atlanta Braves.  Her favorite past time, however, was spending time with her beloved family.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, Janey is also preceded in death by her sons, Paul Laney and Ronald Laney; brother, James Anderson; sisters, Ginger Johnson, Mylinda Cox; grandson, Derek.  She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Laney; son, Mike Laney (Ronda); daughters, Tammy Hawkins (Jason), Cathy Bennett, Cathy Mersch (Tom), and Cindy Enwright (Jim); brother, Joe Anderson; sisters, Jackie Bradford; daughter-in-law, Tracy Laney; grandchildren, Tiffany Zack, Kendra, Ally, Lanie, Ryan, Aaron, Justin, Paul, Timmy, Jarred, Jacob, and Reed; two great-grandchildren, Memphis Raines and Jordan Mears.

Leanne Rena Wiser Trail

Ms. Leanne Rena Wiser Trail, age 45, of Manchester,
TN, passed from this life on Monday, January 17, 2022, in Nashville, TN.

Ms. Trail was born in Manchester, TN, to her late father Terry Lee Wiser
and surviving mother Edna June Page Murray. She was a caregiver most
recently and loved caring for other people. Ms. Trail was a very loving and
caring person, strong-willed, and a strong fighter. She was a loving
daughter, sister, aunt, amazing mother and was willing to help anyone if
she was able. Ms. Trail was an avid music lover, loved going to the
mountains, and had a hippy soul. In addition to her father, she was
preceded in death by a sister, Darin Murray.

Ms. Trail is survived by her mother, Edna Murray; son, Larry T. Trail;
brothers, Gregory (Robin) Wiser, Brad Meadows, Mitchell Wiser, and Jesse
Foster; sister, Magan Morris and Kayla (Cody) Hill.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from
2:00pm until 4:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Memorial
services will be conducted immediately following visitation at 4:00pm in
the chapel of Central Funeral Home.

Janet Vera Keith

Funeral services for Mrs. Janet Vera Keith, age 80 of Manchester, will be conducted at 11:00AM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Mrs. Keith peacefully returned home to her Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022, at her residence in Manchester, TN. 

Janet was born in Ipswich, United Kingdom on July 30, 1941, the daughter of the late Albert “Sonny” and Vera Gladding.  Janet met the love of her life, Clay, and they were married in 1960.  While married, Janet followed Clay around the world as they travelled for his military career.  Janet enjoyed bowling, watching the Atlanta Braves, and her teatime.  She had a soft spot for children, animals, and anyone that was in need.  Janet was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, Janet is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Clay Keith; brother, Graham Gladding.  She is survived by her three sons, Dean Keith, Steven Keith, and Glen Keith (Michelle Jungers); daughter-in-law, Jackie Combs; grandchildren, Eric Keith (Abby), Renee Keith (Aaron Hawkins), Amelie Doridant, David Keith, and Hazel Keith; great-grandchildren, Thomas Keith and Annabelle Keith.
