8/19/17–Ollie Lee Gill

Ollie Lee Gill of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at
his residence at the age of 53 years. Memorial Services are scheduled for
Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 1-2 PM.

Mr. Gill, the son of the late Freddie and Elsie Gill was born in Elkton,
Maryland on September 14, 1963. He was a carpenter and loved building
projects. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing,
playing with his dogs and working in his yard. His favorite times were
spent with his family.

Mr. Gill is survived by his wife, Judy Gill of Tullahoma; six sons, Ollie
Gill Jr of Elkton, MD, Jake Gill of Greensboro, SC, Rex Allen Gill Jr of
Elkton, MD, Shawn Gill of Elkton, MD, Billy Joe Gill of Tullahoma and Chris
Able and his wife, Jennifer of Fayetteville; three daughters, Ruby and
Jenna Gill of Elkton, MD and Crystal Jolley and her husband, Brad of Estill
Springs; two brothers, Paul Gill and his wife, Katie of Elkton, MD and
Wilson Gill and his wife, Stacy, of Elkton, MD; one sister, Terri Wyre and
her husband, Joey of Elkton, MD and fifteen grandchildren, including
special grandson, Billy Gill Jr of Tullahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in his
honor to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

8/7/17–Jennifer Beth Foster

Foster, Jennifer Beth;of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday,
August 5th, 2017 at her home at the age of 45. Ms. Foster was born in
Tullahoma to the late J.B. Foster and Mary Louise West. She was a former
employee of Ascend Federal Credit Union and was a member of Grace Baptist
Church. Ms. Foster is survived by her brother, Jerry May and his wife
Sherri of Murfreesboro; her sister, Paulette Ortner and her husband
Darnell of Tullahoma; nieces, Sherree Powers, Shannon George, Abby May,
Alicia Villines, Martha Brooke Powers, and Tori Dodd; and nephews, Jason
May, James George, A.J. Dodd, and Skylar Villines. Visitation will be
held on Monday, August 7th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017
at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim McGehee
officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Paul Edward Keller, Sr. — 8/9/2017

Mr. Paul Edward Keller, Sr. passed away on August 4, 2017 at Tennova Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He was born in Washington, Indiana on June 15, 1936. Paul was the son of the late Anna Bernadine (Bordenet) Keller and the late Harold Alvin Keller, Sr. Paul was the second of eight children. He is preceded in death by brothers Joseph Elbert Keller and Harold Alvin Keller, Jr. Paul is survived by three brothers, David Leo (Emma Jean) Keller of Winchester, William Albert (Isabell) Keller of Sewanee, Bernard John Keller of Decherd, two sisters, Mary Louise (Robert) Lybecker of San Antonio, Texas and Patricia Ann Keller of Antioch, Tennessee. Paul was a 1954 graduate of Franklin County High School.
Paul was an entrepreneur his entire life and had a gift to gab and an intrepid spirit that served him well. One of his first jobs in high school was as a soda jerk at the Dairy Maid in Winchester, Tennessee. Along the way, Paul also sold insurance, operated a gas station, owned a retail store, and owned and operated the Keller Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge Dealership in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Paul also served as the Executive Vice-President of the US Slo-Pitch Softball Association (USSSA). Paul was the lead plaintiff in an antitrust suit filed by late Senator Fred Thompson on behalf of the USSSA which broke a national monopoly by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA). As he moved into retirement, Paul’s final work was at the Dry Creek Beach facility – where he loved to meet people and ensure they had a good time on the beach.
As much as he was a businessman, Paul’s true passion was sports. In high school he played basketball and baseball at Franklin County High School. He went on to also briefly play baseball at Tennessee Tech. He coached Winchester Academy Basketball. Later in life Paul took up playing, coaching, promoting and organizing amateur softball. Paul used the “Tennessee Thumper” bat produced locally by Worth Manufacturing to promote the sport. For USSSA, Paul was very proud of organizing and overseeing all sizes of tournaments locally, regionally and nationally, including helping to found The Herald Chronicle Softball Tournament over 38 years ago – an annual benefit tournament which continues to this day. He took both his women’s and men’s teams, the Keller Roadrunners, to many state, regional and world championships. Paul made it a point to meet the best, like Joe Namath, Al Hrabosky, Lou Brock, Brett Favre, Archie Manning, Sandy Koufax, coaches Paul “Bear” Bryant, Marshall “Stick” Taylor, Johnnie Majors and Phil Fulmer among others. A charismatic man – Paul “never” paid any admission charges to any sporting event, including several Orange Bowls, Sugar Bowls, Peach Bowls, etc.
Paul is survived by two sons, Paul E. Keller, Jr. of Winchester and Christopher M. Keller of Greenville, North Carolina; three daughters, Marie B. (Bill) Bowman of Estill Springs, Tennessee, Mary C. “Peanut” (Burke) Hare of Brownsboro, Alabama and Meghan D. Leonard of Melbourne, Florida; six grandchildren, Blake Bowman, Autumn Bowman, Alexandra Hare, Catherine Hare, Axel Keller and Lilly Keller; two great grandchildren, Skyla Bowman and Evin Bowman.
Visitation with family members will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Decherd, Tennessee on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the James and Sue Douglas Memorial Scholarship Fund at Franklin County High School, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.

Evelyn R. Bragg 8/8/2017

Mrs. Evelyn R. Bragg passed this life surrounded by her loving daughters on August 5, 2017 at the residence of her daughter in Talking Rock, Georgia. A resident of Tullahoma, Tennessee, she was 90 years old. She was a devout Christian, beloved mama, grandmama and great grandmama.
Mrs. Bragg was born to the late W.C. and Earlie Blythe Neeley on May 31, 1927 in Lascassas, Tennessee. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Bragg and brother Cecil Neely.
She was a member of the Grundy Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Bragg was a homemaker and actively involved with the Church of Christ including Sunday School teaching and working the Joy Bus Ministry. She loved to cook, sew, quilt, do needle point and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed the television show Wheel of Fortune.
She is survived by her son Ronnie Bragg and his wife Constance of Rowlett, Texas and daughters Brenda Miller and her husband Ron of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Connie Moore and her husband Randy of Talking Rock, Georgia. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation with family members will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Family members will again receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Grandson Justin Moore will officiate. A private family burial will be conducted later at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Grundy Street Church of Christ.

Margaret Dolorese Rigsby 8/6/2017

Margaret Dolorese Rigsby passed away in Florida on August 3, 2017, with
her daughter, Tina Kay Phillips Winton at her side. Margaret was born on
August 29, 1938, to her parents, the late Harry Brown Phillips and Willie
Irene Wooten Phillips in Hillsboro, TN. She was also preceded in death by
her ex-husband, Burl Killian Rigsby.
Ms. Margaret was a 35 year member of the Coffee County Rescue Squad. She
worked as an EMA Assistant Director in Coffee County. After retirement,
she enjoyed sewing, reading, fishing, having a Diet Sun-Drop, she loved
her cat, Snuggles ;and most of all her grandchildren. Margaret
moved to Florida last August to live with her daughter Tina Winton until
her death.
Margaret is survived by a brother, Windell Leroy ;Pete ; Phillips,
daughter; Tina Kay Phillips Winton, adopted daughter, Connie Lou Bristol,
three grandchildren; Margaret Hope; Maggie; George of Starke, FL,
Josie Marese Taylor of Manchester, TN, Allie Nicole Taylor of Manchester,
TN, and Linda Forrester, a special friend.

8/12/17 — Norma Jane Moretti

Graveside services for Norma Jane Moretti, age 88 of Manchester, will be
held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Manchester City Cemetery at 6:15 PM
with Doug Hankins officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to
6 PM at Manchester Funeral Home. There will be a chance for family and
friends to share some of their memories of Norma at 5:30.

Norma was born on November 25, 1928, in Tampa, FL, to the late Earl and
Marie Cheney Riga. She was a military wife of 57 years to the late William
G. Moretti. Norma loved her country, the American Flag and the country’s
history. She was a self-employed conservationist, a sportswoman, gardener,
faithful and loyal follower of the Tennessee Titans, Predators, and the TV
show “Nashville”. She was a consistent blue-ribbon winner at the county
fair and published several articles on horticulture over the years. She
enjoyed the Manchester Recreation Center and the “Silver Sneakers”. Norma
always believed in giving people the benefit of the doubt and was always
willing to give second chances.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Norma is preceded in death by
her twin sons, Billy and Greg Moretti. She is survived by her daughter,
Marilyn Moretti (Clark) Knutson of Tullahoma; three granddaughters, Rachel
Knutson of NY, Natalie Knutson of IL, and Chelsea Knutson of TN; her
92-year-old sister, Rosemarie Williams of FL; two lifelong friends, Elma
Sierra and Marie Brickhouse; and several nieces and nephews and a host of
friends.

8/5/17-Dudley Aaron King

King, Dudley Aaron;age 66, went home to be with the Lord on
Wednesday, August 2, 2017, after a valiant battle with a long-term
illness. His devotion to his family and faith in God supported him in his
struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Dudley attended North Carolina
State University and later The University of Tennessee where he met his
wife, Cindy of Tullahoma. After college they moved back to Tullahoma
where he began working at Harton Mental Health Center. He later worked at
the Tennessee Girls Vocational School until he took a job with UTC
Aerospace Systems where he worked for over 30 years. Dudley was a proud
member of the United Steel Workers Union and Wesley Heights United
Methodist Church. Dudley was born to the late Raymond and Bess King of
Bristol, Virginia on May 16, 1951. He was preceded in death by his
nephew, Todd Heath of Bristol, and his parents-in-law, J.D. and Nell Coop
of Tullahoma. Dudley is survived by his wife, Cindy; his daughter, Dr.
Erin and son-in-law Ben Murray of Tullahoma; and five grandchildren, Mary
James, Callie Bess, Lily Mae, Jude, and Annabeth Erin; his brother, Eddie
and sister-in-law, Renette King of Bristol, Virginia; his sister Paula
and her husband Terry Heath of Zellwood, Florida; and his step-mother,
Mary King of Elizabethton, Tennessee. Dudley loved his family and adored
his grandchildren. He loved watching and attending UT, and later, Auburn
football games with friends, and traveling with his wife and family to
the mountains and the beach. He was known for his witty sense of humor,
reverence for puns, vast stockpile of corny jokes, and making a long
story longer. Dudley had an immense propensity for employing a
substantial vocabulary in his dialogs with relatives and acquaintances.
He always had a twinkle in his eye and a love for the people in his life.
When he wasn’t listening to Southern Rock n’ Roll or Bluegrass, he was
discussing the history or back-story of a band or song. Dudley loved life
and he could wear the heck out of a hat. The family wants to send a
special thank you to his loving caregivers, June Jackson and Regina
Johnson and love and thanks to his doctor, Marc Lee. Visitation will be
held on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 from 12:00-2:00pm at Wesley Heights
United Methodist Church, 2101 East Lincoln Street, Tullahoma, TN with
funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Jim Fields
officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Randy, Andrew, and Jaylen Amacher, Terry Heath, Marc
Lee, Ben Murray, Larry Burton. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Heath,
David King, Scott Harrison and Randy Cox. For those who wish, the family
asks that donations be made in Dudley’s memory to Alive Hospice
(www.alivehospice.com) or Wesley Heights, United Methodist Church.

Phil “Hawk” Dewayne Blackburn

Phil “Hawk” Dewayne Blackburn of Moore County passed this life on Sunday,
July 30, 2017 at NHC of Tullahoma the age of 76 years. No services are
scheduled.

Mr. Blackburn, a native of Franklin County, was the son of the late James
Robert and Annie B Finney Blackburn. He loved riding motorcycles,
especially his Harley’s. He also loved animals and raised horses for many
years. He also enjoyed raising and rescuing wolves. He was also a great
story teller.

He is survived by his wife, Candy Blackburn of Moore County; one son,
Ashton Blackburn and his wife, Courtney of Huntsville; three daughters,
Fallon Johnson and her husband, Chris of Shelbyville, Deseray Collins and
her husband, Tim of Redding, CA and Lolita Jones and her husband, Carl of
Winchester; eight grandchildren, Mariah and SunSaray Johnson, Laila and
Alexus Horton, Randy Cravens, Matthew McCubbin and Brooke and Austin Jones
and two great grandchildren, Colten Cravens and Farrah McCubbin.

Graveside services for Mr. Clyde W. Smith, Sr., age 84 of Manchester, will be conducted on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Brother Mike Owens officiating.
Mr. Smith was born on December 26, 1932 in Plant City, Florida to the late Golus and Ira Smith. Survived by his loving wife, Joy Lee Fussell Smith; son, Clyde W. Smith, Jr.; daughter, Susan Diane Burch and husband Kevin; grandson, Joshua Burch.
