9/1/17-Juanita Elizabeth Shelton

Funeral services of Juanita Elizabeth Shelton, age 91, of Manchester, TN,
will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Manchester
Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Davenport and Bro. John Daniel
officiating. Burial
will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will
be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the funeral
home. Ms. Shelton passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her home in
Manchester, TN.

Juanita was born in Normandy, TN, the daughter of the late James and Maude
Harper. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was also preceded in death by husband,
Wiley Shelton; one son, Richard Shelton; and one son-in-law, Charlie
Tinsley. She is survived by her two daughters, Carole Tinsley and Sheila
(Dennis) Ham; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and 1
great-great grandchild.

8/30/17 — Robert Kenneth Stacy

Funeral services for Mr. Robert “Bob” Kenneth Stacy, age 77, of
Manchester
will be conducted on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1 PM at Manchester
Funeral Home with Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill
Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at 11 AM on
Wednesday until time of service. Mr. Stacy passed away on Monday, August 28
at Manchester Health Care Center.

Bob was born on April 27, 1940, to the late Mr. Robert Lee and Virginia
Fults Stacy in Coffee County. He served in the Army with the 101st Airborne
Division. He was a retired maintenance technician at Nissan North America,
a follower of the Tennessee Titans, and loved working in his workshop while
listening to gospel music.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Vaughn Stacy; two sons,
Kenneth Mark (Jane) Stacy from Manchester, and Robert Michael Stacy of
Franklin; two grandchildren, Jacob and Courtney; one great grandchild,
Kadance; one brother, Gale (Charlotte) Stacy of Beechgrove; two sisters,
Irene Jernigan (M.B.) of Bradyville, and Myrna Toungette (Tommy) of
Nashville; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

8/30/17 — Eddie Scott

Mr. Thomas Edward “Eddie” Scott passed away at his residence in Tullahoma, Tennessee on August 27, 2017.
Known as Eddie to his family and friends, he was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee on May 25, 1940 to the late Thomas “Puncher” and Muriel Tosh Scott.
A Veteran of the United States Army, in the 1960’s Eddie was employed as a fireman for the City of Tullahoma and later joined Wilson Sporting where he retired after a 37 year career. For several years following his retirement he worked as an associate of O’Reilly Auto Parts.
He attended Harmony Baptist Church in Tullahoma and loved to work on old cars and trucks.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Faye Scott along with children Butch Scott and his wife Rhonda of Tullahoma, Tennessee; Stacy Scott and his wife Linda of Morrison, Tennessee; Stephen Scott and his wife Kara of Estill Springs, Tennessee and Carol McKelvey and her husband Brad of Tullahoma, Tennessee.
One brother, Leland Scott of Tullahoma survives along with grandchildren Jay Scott of Louisville, Kentucky; Taylor Scott and Charlie Scott of Tullahoma; Amyah and Maycee McKelvey of Tullahoma and Emily and Ashley Scott of Tullahoma, Tennessee. One great grandchild, Anna Reynolds of Tullahoma, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with family members will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the funeral home’s chapel. David Walls and Charlie Guinn will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors at Bethany Cemetery.

William G. McClanahan

Mr. William G. McClanahan, 69, a resident of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on August 26, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was born on February 12, 1948 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A veteran of the United States military service, he was a school teacher, band director and minister that very much enjoyed ministering and helping others know their Lord better. He attended the Light House Christian Church in Tullahoma.
He is survived by his wife Shirley McClanahan of Winchester.

8/30/2017–William Julius Goldston

William Julius Goldston
(September 17, 1927 – August 22, 2017)

William J “Bill” Goldston passed away peacefully Tue morning 22 Aug 2017 while a resident of Bailey Manor assisted living facility. He is preceded in death by his wife Colleen Goldston, sisters Mable, Nina, Beulah, Mary, and brothers John and Ralph. He is survived by son William Huel Goldston, daughter in law Nancy Goldston, granddaughter Sarah Caitlin Goldston, and Grandsons William Matthew and James Reagan Goldston.
Born in Burlington, NC he has been a 50 plus year resident of Manchester. He was a WWII Navy veteran, as well as serving in the Army Air Corps and the then later U.S. Air Force. He retired after 30 plus years from Arnold Engineering Development Center’s PWT as a Test Facilities Technician. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, as well as a volunteer for the Rescue Squad and Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid hiker, outdoorsman, locomotive and cartography enthusiast. A conversationalist who worked diligently to help preserve Tennessee’s natural beauty and wild life through projects such as the establishment of the Savage Gulf State Park in the early 1970’s. He is eternally loved by his family and will be greatly missed, yet we take comfort in knowing that he rests in the company of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jackie Meadows

A graveside service for Mr. Jackie Meadows, age 81, of Manchester, TN,
will be conducted privately with the family with Dr. Chris Haynes
officiating. Mr. Meadows passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at
Tennova Healthcare Harton in Tullahoma, TN.

Jackie was born in Haley, TN, the son of the late Norris and Lettie
Meadows. He was a Craft Supervisor at AEDC. Jackie was also a member of
the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, and was in enlisted in the
U.S. Navy from 1955-1959 on the U.S.S. Intrepid.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by one
brother, Shofner Meadows; three sisters, Glyndon Aaron, Muriel Phillips,
and Cassie Morrow. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Meadows; one
brother, Melvin Meadows; one sister, Nancy Willis; a nephew, Kenny
Phillips, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

9/10/17 — Evelyn Rebecca Carlee Davis

Evelyn Rebecca Carlee Davis, a resident of Autumn Oaks in Manchester, Tennessee passed this life on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the age of 90 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
She was born in Bessemer, Alabama on December 10, 1926 to the late Beadie and Mary Alice Walls Carlee. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Chesley L. Davis. Along with her husband, passing before her was a son Terry Davis and sisters Mildred Parsons and Pauline Mason.
A Baptist by faith, she will always be remembered as a big jokester, a lady that loved to dance and cook. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. For many years she was employed as a welder in the automotive industry.
She is survived by daughters Sandra Caruso of Woodstock, Alabama; Pam Douglas of Taylor, Michigan; and Pat Hall of Brownstown, Michigan. Also surviving is her brother Walter Carlee of Bessemer, Alabama and grandchildren David Hagerman, Jeffery Hall, April Hall, Tommy Hall, Natalie Shinavier, Lisa Parrish and John Sons along with six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at Autumn Oaks, 1621 McMinnville Hwy., Manchester, Tennessee on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Albert Watters will officiate.

8/24/17–Donald H. Vance

Donald H. Vance
(October 28, 1953 – August 21, 2017)

Visitation for Donald H. Vance, age 63, of Manchester, Tennessee will be
held from 4-9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 23rd at the Grace Baptist
Church, 1520 McArthur Street in Manchester. Funeral Services will be at
1:00 P.M. at the Grace Baptist Church, on Thursday, August 24th with
burial following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro. Mr. Vance
passed away at his residence on August 21, 2017. Donald was born in
Murfreesboro to his birth father James Ray Jennings and the late birth
mother Roberta Davis Jennings Harris and adopted by his loving late
parents Jesse Lee Vance and Sarah Inez Vance. He was also proceeded in
death by a twin brother Ronald Vance, brother Carl Medlock and a sister
Mary Medlock Underwood.
He is survived by his loving wife Shelliah Ann Parker Vance of
Manchester, Tennessee; His birth father James Ray Jennings of
Murfreesboro, Tennessee; A son Matthew M. Vance and wife Mary of Elkton,
Kentucky; sister, Virginia Cook; four brothers, Robert E. Francis, Kevin
Jennings, Jamie Jennings and Russell Jennings. Donald was also expecting
his first grandchild due in April. Don was a faithful servant of God who
loved serving others whether at home, at church ( Grace Baptist ) or at
work ( Coffee County Sheriff Department ). His favorite Bible verse was
Proverbs 3:5 & 6. He loved spending his down time spoiling his dog
Charlie. They were the best of friends. Don will be deeply missed
throughout the community because of the influence he had.

Funeral services for Ms. Shirley “Susie” Jessing, age 80, of Manchester,
TN, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Burial will
follow in Caney Branch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from
5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the funeral home.
Ms. Jessing passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at her home in
Manchester, TN.

Shirley was born in Grundy Co., TN, the daughter of the late Gordon and
Eugenia Teeters. She was a caregiver. She was a member of First Baptist
Church of Manchester. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister
to many.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by one
son, Rickey Page; two brothers, Johnny and Quinten Teeters; and four
sisters, Willie Etta Teeters, Julie Wade, Betty King, and Molly Teeters.
She is survived by her daughter, Edna Murray; son, Audie Page; three
grandchildren, Magan Morris, LeeAnn Trail, and Greg Wiser; five
great-grandchildren, Amanda Wiser, Triston Wiser, Dillon Wiser, Tyler
Trail, and Madilynn Tate; 1 great-great-grandson, Nova Thompson.
