9/16/17 — Daniel O. Colyar

Daniel O. Colyar of Tullahoma passed this life on Wednesday, September 13,
2017 at his residence at the age of 53 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Ervin officiating. Burial will follow at
Bethany Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 11 AM –
12 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mr. Colyar was the son of the late Howard Colyar and Nina Jones Colyar of
Tullahoma. He was born on December 7, 1963 in Bristol, TN. He was a truck
driver and attended the Ministries of Hope Church in Tullahoma. He enjoyed
working on his old cars and loved all his pets.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his birth mother,
Shirley Cardwell.

Mr. Colyar is survived by his mother, Nina Colyar of Tullahoma; wife, Lynn
Bryson Colyar of Tullahoma; three sons, Brian, Bryson and Briley Colyar,
all of Tullahoma; sisters, Connie Estep of Tullahoma, Sherry Daugherty of
Ohio, Marty Daugherty of Bristol, TN and Ginger Rutledge of Bristol, TN and
one grandchild, Lyric Colyar.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
his name to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

9/15/17 — Dollie Hartsfield

Mrs. Dollie Hartsfield 87, of Cowan, TN passed peacefully at her residence on Sunday, September 10, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jinks Hartsfield, Jr and daughter, Cornelia J. Holman and beloved adopted daughter, Alvis Rowe.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Four daughters- Evelyn H. Wall of Cowan, TN, Sylvia J.( Dr.Gary- deceased) Hill of Orlando, Florida; Sonya H. ( Curtis) Ballentine of Atlanta, GA; Randi C. Hartsfield of Birmingham, AL;

Two sons,- Jinks (Priscilla) Hartsfield III of Manchester, TN and Loren F. Hartsfield of Murfreesboro, TN;

Sister- Lillie Ruth (Willie L. Sr- deceased) Bonner of Winchester, TN;

Brother- George O. (Alva Jean) Taylor of St. George, Utah

Son in law- Gregory Holman Sr of Maylene, Alabama,

16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, relatives loved ones and friends.

Visitation Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Mt. Sinai M.B Church . Funeral Services Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at Elk River Tabernacle with Min Willie L. Bonner Jr officiating and Pastor John Patton as Eulogist .

9/11/17–Glenn Douglas Norfleet

Glenn Douglas Norfleet born January 8, 1936 in Woodlawn, Tennessee died September 8, 2017 at home in Manchester, Tennessee of cancer. He was the son of Byron Douglas Norfleet and Cynthia Ann Tomlinson Norfleet.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 104 Church St., Manchester on Monday, September 11, 2017. Visitation 11am – 2pm and services beginning at 2pm.
Glenn started his education in a one-room school in Woodlawn. His quick and curious mind led him to an Engineering degree from Vanderbilt and Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering from Princeton.
He had a more than three-decade career working for Sverdrup Technology. During his career, he received numerous recognitions including the HH Arnold Award and later became an AEDC Fellow.
In 1958, Glenn married his first and forever love Carolyn Belle Combs. They raised three children – Byron (Donna), Robert (Louise), and Laurie (Johnny). Glenn was an enthusiastic grandfather to their six grandchildren – Phillip, Douglas, Olivia, Georgia, Ethan, and Connor.
As a thoughtful and skillful debater, Glenn was always up for a challenge. He was a compassionate leader and a valued member of the community. He was elected as Alderman in Manchester, served on the Duck River Electric Board of Directors and the Coffee County Industrial Board.
Glenn was a life-long active member of the Methodist church and his passion for his faith led him to serve in many capacities.

Funeral services for April Dawn Crouch, age 44, of Manchester, TN will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the Crouch family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, at the funeral home. Mrs. Crouch passed away Friday, September 08, 2017, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN.

Mrs. Crouch was born in Tullahoma, TN, the daughter of Jerry and Mavis Davis. She was a homemaker, loved taking care of her two dogs, Tippy and Midnight, and loved the TV show I Love Lucy.

In addition to her parents, April is survived by her loving husband, Keith; sister, Cynthia (Scott) Cherry; mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Frieda Crouch; sister-in-law, Kelle Dyer; three nieces, Erin (Daniel) Castillo, Morgan and Jayme Dyer; and two nephews, Zachary and Adam Cherry.

Vivian A Dorsett of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday, September 7,
2017 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester at the age of 56
years. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2017 at
2:00 PM at the Tullahoma Church of God, 103 S Vine Street, Tullahoma, TN

with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the
family will be Saturday from 12 PM – 2 PM at the church.

Vivian was the daughter of the late Johnny and Velma Allmon Cartwright. She
was a member of the Tullahoma Church of God and enjoyed painting,
crocheting and taking care of children.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Federspiel of Tullahoma; aunts, Patsy
Baker and her husband, Bob of Tullahoma and Dorothy Smith of Myrtle Beach,
SC; grandchildren, Malinda Dorsett of Tullahoma, Courtney Dorsett and
Tiffany Brown, both Shelbyville and great grandchildren, Charlie and Maggie
Dorsett.

9/10/17 — Harold “Eugene” Smith

Harold “Eugene” Smith of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday,
September
7, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 85 years. Graveside
services are scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Rose
Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1 PM
– 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was the son of the late Clayton and Altie Lee Blackburn Smith. He
was a farmer and loved feeding his cattle and cutting hay. He also enjoyed
working in his garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Paul
Leslie Smith and brother-in-law, Norman Litchford.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Joyce Smith of Tullahoma; daughter,
Kathy Smith of Tullahoma; nephew, Robert Smith and his wife, Cindy of
Tullahoma and brother-in-law, Bobby Litchford of Tullahoma.

9/9/17–Jackie Ray Thomas

Jackie Ray Thomas of Hillsboro, passed this life on Sunday, September 3,
2017 at his residence at the age of 63 years. Funeral Services will be
held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Bean’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the
family will be from 11 AM– 1 PM.

A native of Manchester, he was the son of the late Charles and Betty June
Brown Thomas. He enjoyed playing pool, swimming, fishing and riding
motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don
and Dale Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is survived by one brother, Jerry Thomas and his wife, Brenda of
Manchester and three sisters, Helen Hazel and her husband, Charles of
Murfreesboro, Barbara Sanders and her husband, Earl of Tracy City and Becky
Privett of Manchester.

9/6/17 — Aubry Dean McGhee

Funeral services for Mr. Aubry Dean McGhee, age 82, of Manchester, TN,
will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Coffee
County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at
the funeral home. Mr. McGhee passed away on September 3, 2017 at Unity
Medical Center in Manchester, TN.

Aubry was born in Campbell County, TN, the son of the late Caleb and
Bessie Byrge McGhee. He was a self-employed mechanic. In earlier years,
he owned several grocery stores and worked in the coal mining business as
coal miner, coal truck owner, and mechanic. He was a member of the
Masonry Lodge of Campbell County. Aubry enjoyed keeping up with current
events, watching old classic movies, collecting coins, and loved being
outside under the shade tree. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist
Church in Campbell County.

In addition to his parents, Aubry was also preceded in death by two
sisters, Gerene Cross and Sue McGhee; one son-in-law, Mike Phillips; one
grandson, Benjamin Cox; one granddaughter, Holly Jernigan; one great
granddaughter, Emmalynn Jernigan; and one great, great granddaughter, Mia
Elam. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorenia McGhee of Manchester;
four daughters, Kathy Phillips, Gloria Cox, Bonnie (Steve) Scullin, and
Debbie Housley; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great,
great grandchildren.

9/7/17 — Talmadge Lee Davis

Funeral services of Talmadge Lee Davis, age 84, of Manchester, TN, will be
conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Manchester Funeral
Home with Bro. Paul Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Jernigan
Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM until the
service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed away on Tuesday,
September 5, 2017, at NHC in Tullahoma, TN.

Talmadge was born in Cookeville, TN, the son of the late Robert and Maggie
Davis. He was a truck driver for Batesville Casket Company. Mr. Davis was
very spiritual, a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in McMinnville,
TN, and loved animals. He was a talented carpenter and mechanic. Talmadge
loved his church family, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were
his pride and joy. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to
many.

In addition to his parents, Talmadge was also preceded in death by his
childhood sweetheart and wife, Lenora; and one daughter, Vickie Davis. He
is survived by his son, Jim (Kim) Davis; brother, Bobby C. Davis; three
grandchildren, Justin (Jenna) Davis, Lindsey Anderson, and Lee (Ashley)
Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Olan and Amelia Davis.

9/7/17 — Brian Dale Womack

Brian Dale Womack, of Tullahoma, better known throughout the community as
“Dr. Wham” of Tullahoma’s 93.9 The Duck, passed this life on Saturday,
September 2, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 64 years. A
memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 7 at Faith Lutheran
Church of Tullahoma at 6 PM with Rev. Marty Nutter officiating. The family
will receive friends beginning at 4:30 PM.

Brian was born October 18, 1952 in Coffee County to the late Homer Bernard
Womack and the late Rhule Beatrice Sanders Womack. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Lee Womack; step
mother, Mildred Womack and step sister, Barbara Burch.

Mr. Womack was a 1970 graduate of Tullahoma High School and attended the
University of Kentucky. He was a U S Air Force veteran and a member of
Faith Lutheran Church. He wrote poetry and enjoyed music and playing golf.
He had written a poem titled “The Wall” in honor of Vietnam War Veterans
and read it during a Memorial Day service at the Vietnam Veterans Wall in
Washington, DC.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Dillard Womack of Murfreesboro; dear
friend, Sharon Bell of Tullahoma, nephews, Joshua Womack, Zachary Womack
and Tory Womack, all of Cookeville.
