9/18/17 — Charles Raymond Skender

Charles Raymond Skender, age 61, from Cleveland, Ohio and resident in Manchester, TN for 11 years passed away September 15, 2017. Mr. Skender leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Linda Blythe Skender, brother, George Skender of Colorado and sisters, Loraine Redmon and Lisa Doss of Tullahoma, Anita Cooke and Carol Skender both from Cleveland, Ohio and a wonderful, loving mom Dorothy Enos of Tullahoma, two beautiful daughters, Heather Skender Newton of Cookeville, TN and Christina Whitford of Ohio, four grandchildren; Katelynn, Kylee, Barrett, and Hadley, and numerous nieces and nephews he adored.

9/17/17 — JoAnn Rowe Bryan

JoAnn Rowe Bryan, age 79, passed away at her residence with her family at
her bedside on September 14, 2017. JoAnn was born in Hampton, TN to her
parents, the late James Bowers and Ada May Glover Bowers. JoAnn was also
preceded in death by her husband Tommy Rowe.

JoAnn is survived by three children; Kevin G. Rowe and his wife Marie of
Manchester, Basil T. Rowe of Manchester, and Khristi R. Peterson and her
husband Scotty of Manchester, six grandchildren; Joshua Peterson, Dale
Peterson, Clayton Rowe, Keaton Rowe, Makenna Rowe, and Curtis Rowe all of
Manchester, two great-grandchildren; Cole Fowler and Gracie Fowler both of
Manchester, a lot of cousins and extended family.

VISITATION: Saturday, September 16, 6 until 8:00 P.M., at the Central
Funeral Home, 2812 Hillsboro Highway, Manchester

9/19/17 — Ross Simmons

Funeral services for Mr. Ross Simmons, age 70 of Prairie Plains, will be
held at 11 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Billy Robison officiating and Sheriff Steve Graves conducting
an Honor Guard ceremony. Burial will follow in the Prairie Plains Church
of Christ Cemetery. Visitation with the Simmons family will be Monday,
September 18 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary
Brown, Jerry Brown, Aaron Brown, David Brown, Chris Lee, Scottie
Peterson, Jesus Vasquez, and Neil Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be
Devin DeFord, Butch Stewart, Tim Brown, Shaw Jared, Wilma Thomas, Donnie
Thomas, Jon Holland, Jimmy Teal, Gene Taylor, Danny Taylor, Ronnie
Crosslin, Jeffrey Burnett, Mark Messick, Jerry Crites, Bob Bellamy, Betty
Superstein, Alberto Garza, Dustin Foster, Gene Holmes, Buster Bush, and
Dawn Hafer. Mr. Simmons passed away Saturday, September 16 at St. Thomas
Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Ross was born on April 10, 1947, to the late Mance and Dora Boyd Simmons
in Coffee County. He proudly served his country in the United States Army
during the Vietnam War. Later, he received a Bachelor’s degree in law
enforcement from the University of New York. Ross has been a faithful
member of the American Legion and the local Veterans of Foreign War. He
was also a member of the Prairie Plains Church of Christ. Some of his
hobbies were working on and building cars and he was a diehard Tennessee
Titans and University of TN Vols fan. Ross retired in 2012 as the Police
Chief of the Manchester City Police Department.

In addition to his parents, Ross is preceded in death by three brothers,
Howard, Walter and Valice Simmons and one sister, Frances Brown. He is
survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sue Bartlett Simmons; one son,
Kevin Simmons of Manchester; one daughter, Tracey (Richard) Adams of
Manchester; one beloved grandson, Zachary Adams of Manchester; two
brothers, Waymon Simmons and J.D. (Faye) Simmons, all of Manchester;
several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the
Multi-County Cancer Support Network.

9/19/17 — Connell Doyle Frazier

Funeral services for Mr. Connell Doyle Frazier, age 74 of Manchester, will
be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home
Chapel with Bro. David Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill
Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Frazier family will begin at 1 PM
until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Frazier passed
away Saturday, September 16 at his home following an extended illness.

Mr. Connell was born on October 7, 1942, in Coffee County, to the late
Howard Glen and Clattie Bernice Duke Frazier. He was a machinist at SAS in
Tullahoma and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Connell enjoyed hunting, fishing,
caring for his goats, chickens, and dogs, and watching the Tennessee Titans
and Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Connell is preceded in death by one
brother, Arlin Gene Frazier. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years,
Joyce Lowe Frazier; one son, Kendall Frazier of Manchester; three
grandchildren, Cheyenne (Kevin) Cheney, Ashley Gault, and Matthew (Chara)
Gault; five great grandchildren, Noah and Graydon Cheney, Alyssa Watkins,
Wesley and Lily Gault; one brother, Donald (Linda) Frazier; and two
sisters, Evelyn (Harry) Shelton and Joyce (Abe) Branch.

9/16/17 — Hazel Henley Driver

Hazel Henley Driver, age 82, left this world on September 13, 2017, for her
long awaited trip to heaven. She was born December 7, 1934 to her parents,
the late Dan and Jessie Henley. She is preceded in death by her brothers
Jerry Henley of Manchester and Charles Henley of Tullahoma. She is survived
by her brothers Ray Henley of Manchester and James Henley of Michigan and
her sister Selma Winton of Manchester. She has 3 daughters; Sylvia (Sidney)
Forester of Lookout Mountain, Sarah (David) Messenger of Conway Ark. and
Selene (Randy) Brown of Manchester. She has 5 grandchildren, 5 great
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Hazel enjoyed working at the
old Coffee Co. Hospital. She loved her children and her church. She was a
member of the Nazarene Church in Manchester and they were her church family.

Visitation: Saturday, Sept 16, at 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Central

9/20/17 — Jean M. Janesek

Jean M Janesek of Tullahoma passed this life on Friday, September 15, 2017
at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 72 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12 PM –2
PM
at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Janesek was the daughter of the late H B and Irma Lindsey Williams.
She
was born in Marlow, OK on December 5, 1944. She was an Accountant and
worked alongside her husband, Gerry, in their own Machinery business. She
and her husband lived in Orlando and then Fort Myers before relocating to
Tullahoma. She enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her
granddaughter and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy
Williams

Mrs. Janesek is survived by her husband, Gerry Janesek of Tullahoma; one
daughter, Cheryl Jensen of La Vergne; one granddaughter, Bridget Jensen of
La Vergne and many loving friends and family members.

9/18/17 — Michael Kent Rector

Mr. Michael “Mike” Kent Rector, 56, passed away Thursday September 14, 2017 at his home in Sewanee. He was born in South Pittsburg, Tennessee on November 22, 1960 to Marvin and Pauline Rector who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother Tony Rector; and grandchild, Daniel Malachi (Canada).

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Rector; children, Tracy Scott, Kristy Rector, Matthew Kilgore, and Bethany Hastings; brother, Marvin Rector; sisters, Vickie Davenport, Patsy Burrow, Nancy Rector, Donna Rector, and Lisa Swift; 8 grandchildren.

Mike was very passionate about life and deeply loved and cared for all his kids and grandbabies. He enjoyed cars and was everyone’s go to man.

Services will be held Monday, September 18, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Dennis Rollins officiating. Visitation on Saturday 5:00-9:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM-9:00 PM. Services on Monday at 2:00 PM at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee. Interment will be at Pryor Ridge Cemetery.

Percy W. Simmonds

Percy W Simmonds of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday, September 14,
2017 at Horizon Health and Rehab in Manchester at the age of 83 years. No
services are scheduled.

Mr. Simmonds was born on June 9, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a
butcher by trade. He and his late wife, Nadyne Vickery Simmonds enjoyed
traveling and going for walks in the woods together. He also enjoyed
gardening and was a Volunteer Fire Fighter.

Mr. Simmonds is survived by stepson, Dale Maxwell and his wife, Bonnie of
Tullahoma; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Danielle and Vanessa Maxwell, all
of Tullahoma and seven great grandchildren.

9/18/17–Bertha Lois Royal Townsend

passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at
her residence in Morrison, Tennessee at the age of 81.

Mrs. Townsend was born in Texas on March 5, 1936 to the late William Henry
Royal and Vena Oats Royal. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethel
Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting and embroidering.

She is survived by her husband Dwight Wesley Townsend of Morrison along
with sons Glenn Weischwill and his wife Doris of Texas; Henry Townsend of
Nashville; Clifton Townsend of McMinnville; Paul Townsend and his wife
Julie of Tullahoma; Wesley Townsend of Greer, South Carolina and John
Townsend of Lebanon.

Also surviving are daughters Lois Marino and her husband Michael of
Morrison; Sharon Anderson of Washington State; Janie Howse of Morrison;
Esther Taylor of Russellville, Kentucky and Hannah Martin and her husband
Joel of Normandy.

Surviving is one brother Thomas Royal and his wife Darlene of Texas and a
sister, Winifred Starks of Texas.

She was preceded in death by a son Amos Townsend; brothers Harvey and
Horace Royal and sisters Janie Wilson and Willavene Henson.

She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be with family members from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday,
September 17, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral. A funeral service will be
held at 1 PM on Monday, September 18, 2017 from the chapel of
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Amity Baptist
Church Cemetery in Cannon County, Tennessee. Bro. Jim Rolen will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in
her honor to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

9/16/17–Rev. Wayne Otho Cable

, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at NHC Tullahoma at the age of 91. Rev. Cable was born in Wartburg, Tennessee to the late James and Virgi Shannon Cable. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. During his life, he worked as a machinist at Shelbyville Vocational School. Rev. Cable had also been a Baptist Minister since the early 1960’s and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church in Shelbyville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jewel Ramicone. Rev. Cable is survived by his wife, Joyce Cable of Tullahoma; daughter, Cathy Cable of Tullahoma; son, Jeff Cable of Tullahoma; daughter, Sandy Payne and her husband Bob of Tullahoma; son, David Cable and his wife Lorna of Ocala, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with James Lucas Cable, Bob Payne, Jimmy Brazier, and Larry Chapman officiating. A private burial will be held at Cothran Cemetery in Rover, Tennessee.
