10/10/17 — Marjorie Ann Wilson Freeze

Marjorie Ann Wilson Freeze, age 77, passed away October 1, 2017, in
Nashville, at the Vanderbilt Medical Center, with her family at her side.
Marjorie was born in Shelbyville, May 23, 1940, to her parents, Marshall H.
Wilson and Retha Ozell Keele Wilson. Marjorie was also preceded in death by
an infant brother and her lifetime sweetheart and loving husband Ralph F.
Freeze.

Marjorie Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manchester,
Daughters of the American Revolation and United Daughters of the
Confederacy. She made a career as a teacher in the Coffee County School
System. After retiring, she enjoyed gardening, geneology, and especially
spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by two children; Felicia A. Freeze-Keele and her husband
Dennis of Beechgrove, and Ralph W. Freeze and his wife Michele of
Manchester, five grandchildren; Marjorie Taylor Keele of Beechgrove, Cody
Alexander Keele of Manchester, Christina Michele Freeze of Manchester,
Pamela Nichole Freeze of Manchester, and Elizabeth Kaye Freeze.

10/10/17 — Ralph Floyd Freeze

Ralph Floyd Freeze, age 79, passed away October 1, 2017, in Nashville, at
the Vanderbilt Medical Center, with his family at his side. Ralph was born
in Summitville, on October 13, 1937, to his parents John Rufus Freeze and
Lena Bessie Wendli. He was also preceded in death by six sisters; Jewel
Freeze Teal, Jessie Mae Freeze Taylor, Louise Freeze Vandevier, Mazelle
Freeze Vandagriff, Bobbie Christine Freeze Smith, and Billie Ernestine
Freeze Medley, six brothers; Everette Freeze, John William “Bill” Freeze,
Melvin Freeze, Henry C. “Clayton” Freeze, Fred L. “Pete” Freeze, and Marvin
“Dale” Freeze.

Ralph was a member of the Summitville Church of Christ. Ralph had a career
as a TVA Public Safety Officer, Fire Instructor, and at General Motors a
Fire and Safety Coordinator. After retiring, he enjoyed being an avid knife
and coin collector.

Ralph is survived by two children; Felicia Ann Freeze-Keele and her husband
Dennis of Beechgrove, and Ralph W. Freeze and his wife Michele of
Manchester, five grandchildren; Marjorie Taylor Keele of Manchester, Cody
Alexander Keele of Manchester, Christina Michele Freeze of Manchester,
Pamela Nichole Freeze of Manchester, and Elizabeth Kaye Freeze of
Manchester, three sister-in-law’s; Jean Nobles Freeze, Ruth Lowe Freeze, and
Sue Freeze.

10/10/17 — Billy Darrel McCain

Billy Darrel McCain, age 73, passed away October 5, 2017, in Springfield
of Greene County with his family at his side. Billy was born in
LasCauces, New Mexico to his late parents Thomas Henry McCain and Azalea
Waldrop McCain. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Doyle McCain.
Billy was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Manchester. He was
in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service stationed in New London, CT, from 1966
to 1970. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He
loved the Bible, history, nature, his garden, and fishing. He lived a
life of love and compassion and left an amazing legacy. Psalm 116:15
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
Billy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Karen Lee
McCain of Manchester, three children; Jennifer A. George and her husband
Calvin of Manchester,TN, Jeremy A. McCain and his wife Lesley of
Adairville, KY, and Jared W. McCain and his wife Amanda of Manchester,
TN, five grandchildren; Calina George of Manchester, TN, Julian George of
Manchester, TN, Calesa George of Manchester, TN, Melinda George of
Manchester, TN, and Landry McCain of Adairville, KY, and many friends and
relatives in New Mexico and Massachusetts.

10/10/17 — Danny Lee Hillis

Mr. Danny Lee Hillis passed away on October 6, 2017 at Tennova-Harton Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee at the age of 62.
Mr. Hillis was born in Anniston, Alabama on October 16, 1954 to the late Fred Lee and Ruby Treece Hillis.
He loved to watch movies, play games, sing and enjoying the company of those around him. He “loved people.” He also attended the First Church of Jesus in Tullahoma.
Mr. Hillis is survived by his wife Alisa Elliott Hillis along with children Jennifer Chandler and her husband Jeff of Tullahoma; Jarrod Hillis and Alice Sumrall of Yuba City, California and Amber Renee March of Oil City, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his sister Brenda Glover and her husband Thomas of Grant, Alabama and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many of his special friends.
Visitation with family members will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the First Church of Jesus Christ. A funeral service officiated by Bro. James Taylor will begin at 2 p.m. at the church located on 1100 East Lincoln St., Tullahoma, Tennessee. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

10/9/17 — Donald D. Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Donald D. Smith, age 75, of the Fountain Grove
Community, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 2017 at
Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Rev. Louis Johnson and Rev. Chuck
Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Visitation
with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday evening at
Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Mr. Smith passed away on Friday, October
6, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Donald was the son of the late Clayton and Myrtle Johnson Smith. He was
a faithful member of Fountain Grove United Methodist Church and loved the
Lord. He was the owner of Smith Grain and farming was his job and
passion. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great, grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his
wife, Judy Smith; and one sister, Barbara Rosson Griffin. He is survived
by two daughters, Donna (James) Harrell and Wendy (Joe) Grissom; one
brother, Paul (Faye) Smith; one sister, Etta Roach; grandchildren, Joshua
(Teresa) Harrell, Nick (Whitney) Harrell, Tiffany (Cody) Davis, Coty
(Shea) Grissom, and Taylor (Zach) Smoot; great-grandchildren, Braxton
Davis, Brooklynn Davis, Waylon Harrell, Hayes Harrell, Josie Grissom, and
Gabriel Harrell; friend, Linda Northcutt; numerous nieces and nephews;
and a host of friends.

10/8/17–Terry Lynn Bunn

A memorial service for Mr. Terry Lynn Bunn, age 48, will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Manchester, TN with Brother Brandon Stults officiating. Mr. Bunn passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

Terry was born in Marshall Co., TN, the son of the late Walter Bunn. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed working on the farm for Bennie and Joyce Roberts, whom he considered as his parents and thought the world of. Terry was nicknamed “Slick” by Bennie, and every farmer knew him by that name. His favorite thing of all was to get out and toss football and other activities with his sons and their two close friends, Michael and Mathew Sherrill, who called him Pops.

In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his sister, Jessica Bunn. He is survived by his significant other for eighteen years, Becky Perry; and two sons, Terry Bunn, Jr. and Patrick Bunn.

10/8/17–James Rodney Lowry

James Rodney Lowry, age 68, died October 4, 2017, in Nashville, at the Centennial Medical Center with his loving family at his bedside. Rodney was born November 2, 1948, in McMinnville, to his parents Roger S. Lowry and Frances J. Johnston Lowry. Rodney is also preceded in death by a brother, Waymon Sidney Lowry.
Rodney “Big Foot” was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester and worked at Carrier as a Fork Lift driver before retirement. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing, the flea market, woodworking, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Rodney is survived by two brothers; Roger Lowry and his wife Shirley, and Walter “Buddy” Lowry, an aunt, Beverly Harrison, a close friend, Ann Hazlewood, three nieces; Stephanie Simmons and her husband Jim, Michelle Culbert, and Christy Lowry, three nephews; Michael Lowry and his wife Shannon, Greg Lowry and his wife Nicole, and Steven, and several great nephews and nieces.

10/7/17 — Thomas Henry May

Thomas Henry May age 83, died at his home in Morrison, with his loving family at his
bedside on October 2, 2017. Thomas was born on June 9, 1934, in Estill
Springs to his parents John Henry May and Birdie T. May. Thomas is also
preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lee May, four sisters; Elma Beavers,
Mary Lou Kirby, Ruby Galligan, and Winnie Parks, and three brothers; Ben
May, J.B. May, and James May.
Thomas was a member of the Pentacostal Church. He enjoyed cutting wood,
roofing, fishing, but most of all spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Alta Lee May of Morrison, TN, four
children; Ronnie D. May and his wife Tina of Morrison, Jerry R. May and
his wife Connie of Morrison, Sherry R. Hulan and her husband Robert of
Morrison, and Steve R. May and his wife Deborah of Bradyville, several
grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two sisters; Joyce Bentley
and Wilma Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be given in
the memory of Thomas May to Central Funeral Home for expenses that have

Ernest F. Knight, Jr.

Ernest F Knight Jr, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, October 3,
2017 at the age of 75 years. No services are scheduled.

A native of Middleboro Plymouth, MA, he was the son of the late Ernest F.
and Edna Rita Lawrence Knight. He was a U S Air Force veteran and worked
for Foxboro Company. He enjoyed reading and watching the news on TV. He
was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed watching their games.

Mr. Knight is survived by one son, Eric Knight and his wife, Dawn of
Tullahoma; one daughter, Ellaina Knight of North Attleboro, MA; two
sisters, Sylvia Auclair and her husband, John of MA and Rita Wambaugh and
her husband, Tom of North Attleboro, MA and three grandchildren.

10/11/17 — Archie Lee Crocker

Funeral services for Mr. Archie Lee Crocker, age 86, will be at 1:00 PM
on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will
follow at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be
held from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00. Mr. Crocker passed away on
Friday, September 29, 2017, at Horizon Health and Rehab in Manchester,
TN.

Mr. Crocker was born in Coffee Co., TN, the son of the late Clinton and
Daisy Crocker. He was a mechanic for Jernigan Motors. He loved the
Atlanta Braves and was very devoted to his mother. Archie loved spending
time with his family, and he loved having cookouts, fishing, and playing
horse shoe with them.

In addition to his parents, Archie is also preceded in death by his four
brothers, Andrew, Clinton Jr., Edgar, and Henry Crocker; three sisters,
Bernettie Norris, Lucy Caroll, and Gold Marie Crocker; one
step-son-in-law, Max Ragan. He is survived by the love of his life,
Irene Crocker; one step-son, Robert (Linda) Milligan; two step-daughters,
Judy (David) Beaulieu and Deborah Ragan; three grandchildren, Andrea
(Jon) Ross, Robert (Mindy) Milligan, Jr., and Trenton Duncan; and seven
great-grandchildren.
