Jena Bryant – Age 68, of Franklin, passed away October 14, 2017.
Jena was a graduate of Manchester High School and Tennessee Tech University. She devoted her life to raising her two children. Later, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren (even via Facebook), and traveling with her family. She would be the first to offer help to those in need with a smile on her face. Jena was loved deeply by her family and friends and was truly one of a kind.
Preceded in death by her father, W. B. Patterson. Survived by her loving husband of 47 ½ years, Terry Bryant; adoring children, Dana Iverson (Jared) & Edan Bryant (Holly); grandchildren, Braden Iverson, Kian Iverson & Ronan Bryant; mother, Myrtle Patterson; brother, Bill Patterson (Dru); nieces, Chloe Fleming (Billy) & Pascale Patterson.

10/18/17 — Edward W. Allen
Funeral services for Mr. Edward W. Allen, age 88 of Manchester, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Petty and Timothy Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Allen passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Unity Medical Center.
Mr. Allen was born in Lansing, Michigan to the late Lewis and Cora Allen. He was a member of Manchester Church of God. Edward was a journalist for the Manchester Times and was heavily involved in many aspects of the Manchester community. He was a member of the Toast Masters Club, Kiwanis Club, the Optimist Club, Director of the Youth for Christ, and served in many other ways to benefit others. He was known as a great photographer and had a way with words. Mr. Allen was a well-known Gospel radio personality, and worked for the Gospel Music Association in Nashville. Most all that knew him called him, “Mr. Ed.”.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ada Grace Allen; son, James D. Allen; brothers, Sherwood Allen, Truman Allen; sister, Lucille Tugan; grandchildren, Kenneth Allen, Alisa Allen, Robert Golden. Survived by his son, Wayne Allen (Sandra); daughters, Rickie Luckadoo (Gene), Lola Golden (Gary); daughter-in-law, April Allen; brother, Eldon Allen; 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Meadows passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at her home.
Ida was born on March 6, 1923 to the late Bill Frye and Marye Buchanan. In former years, she enjoyed sewing, fishing, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Meadows; son, Orville “Big Boy” Ward; daughter, Barbara Jean Holder; brother, Wendy Frye; sisters, Virginia Nelson, Dolly Pratt, Louise Nelson, “Pumpkin” Buchanan , Ruthie Frederick. Neil E Dillard, of Manchester, passed this life on Saturday, October 14,
2017 at Unity Medical Center of Manchester at the age of 42 years. Memorial
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10 AM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
A native of Shreveport, LA, he was born on November 19, 1974. Neil enjoyed
playing pool, wood carving, doing crafts and playing his guitar. He also
loved music.
Neil is survived by his father Ron Dillard of Murfreesboro; his mother,
Carylon Frantz and her husband, John of Beech Grove; children, Jeremy and
Trinity Dillard of AL and brother David Dillard of Nashville.

Ruth A Allen of Tullahoma passed this life on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at
her residence at the age of 88 years. Graveside Services are scheduled for
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2 PM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation
with the family will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Emmett P and Maggie Fay Mullins
Anderton. She was born on February 1, 1929 in Moore County, Tennessee. She
was a member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma and retired from
Tennessee Apparel after 35 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family,
working crossword puzzles and sitting on her front porch. She also enjoyed
watching game shows on TV, especially the “Wheel of Fortune” and the
“Price
is Right”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John
Matthew Allen Jr. and sisters, Dorsie Mae Milliron, Mildredge McCall,
Willma Tipps and Juanita Bates.
Mrs. Allen is survived by three sons, Randy Allen, Steve Allen and his
wife, Michelle and Brian Allen and his wife, Tonya, all of Tullahoma; one
daughter, Brenda Pendergrass and her husband, Jim of Tullahoma; sister,
Betty Lou Gault of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Jonathan Simmons and
his wife, Nickie, Amanda Allen and Samantha Allen, all of Tullahoma; two
great grandchildren, Paisley and Jordan Russell Simmons and two special
friends, Polly Culbertson of Estill Springs and Carolyn Eason of Tullahoma.

Mrs. Paula Mary Brown, age 85 of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 14, 1932 in Boyle, Mississippi to the late Angelo and Maria Gabucci. Mrs. Brown was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Manchester. She enjoyed listening to her kids play music and gardening. Paula loved her grandchildren and her dog, Bandit.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown; her brothers, Tony Gabucci, Peter Gabucci, Danny Gabucci; sisters, Lena Biondini, Tena Sabatini, Levia Galtalli. Survived by her daughter, Deborah Allen; sons, Gary (Melinda) Allen, Larry (Rita) Allen, Michael (Linda) Allen; sisters, JoAnn (Roy) Kasang, Josie (Bo) Allen; 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

10/14/17–Grady Frank Brown
Grady Frank Brown, passed away on October 11, 2017, in Smyrna, with his
loving family at his bedside. Grady was born in Manchester, to his late
parents Frank Brown and Phronie Mae Brown. Grady is also preceded in death
by a step mom, Gracie Brown, and MGM Nancy Elizabeth Williams.
Grady was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Manchester. Grady was
retired, loved his family, friends, and took care of his wife. He was a
family man and was highly respected by all who knew him.
Grady is survived by his wife Mattie Waveline Vaughn Brown of Manchester,
two children; Troy A. Brown of Manchester, and Cynthia B. Cox and John Cox
of Manchester, and four grandchildren; Joshua T. Cox of Manchester, Landon
A. Cox of Manchester, Jordan A. Brown of Boaz, Alabama, and Hannah M. Brown
of Boaz, Alabama.

10/14/17 — James Wesley Barbour, Sr.
Barbour Sr., James Wesley, passed this life on Thursday, October
5th, 2017 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin at the age of 91. Mr.
Barbour was born in Trenton, North Carolina to the late Carol L. and Lela
Mae Haddock Barbour. He served his country in World War II in the United
States Navy and went on the become an Instrument Technician with the
Naval Weapons Station until his retirement. In addition to his parents,
Mr. Barbour was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Frances Barbour;
three brothers, Milton, Joseph and Bob Barbour; and one sister, Ty
Skinner. He is survived by his son, Steve Austell and his wife B of
Spring Hill, Tennessee; granddaughter, Lauren Banks and her husband
Derrick; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Nathaniel; and four
children from a previous marriage, James Barbour Jr., Douglas Glen
Barbour, Janice Russell, and Cheryl Fay Adams. Visitation for Mr. Barbour
will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at Kilgore Funeral Home from
11:00am-2:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 2:00pm with Rev.
Grover Jewell and Minister B Austell officiating. Burial will follow at

Mary Jo was born in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of the late Cecil and Ruby McGough. She was a homemaker, and loved to cook. Her family meant everything to her, and she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Thurman McGough. She is survived by the love of her life for 60 years, Ray Hunter; one son, David (Lisa) Hunter; two brothers, Allen McGough and William McGough; two sisters, Christine Jackson and Carol Payne; and two grandchildren, Heather Hunter and Cody Hunter.

Jake was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Parker Haley. He was a machine operator and loved fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Jake was also preceded in death by one brother, Danny Haley. He is survived by two sons, Jason (Debra) Haley of Ft. Worth, TX and Chad (Janine Bartell) Haley of Decherd, TN; one brother, Ricky Haley; five sisters, Anna Sue Haley, Lila Crabtree, Sheila Gowan, Carol Frazier, and Tina Farrar; grandchildren, Peyton Haley, Alex Haley, Savanna Haley, and Grace Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
