10/25/17 — Gerald Hice, Sr.

GERALD HICE, SR., age 75, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at STRHS in Winchester. Mr. Hice was born on August 4, 1942, in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Robert Hice, Jr. and Lorene Holt Hice. Mr. Hice was employed for over 30 years at the former Eaton Corporation in Shelbyville, Tenn. as a machinist where he retired from. His hobbies were Fishing and Nascar. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, brother and grandfather.

He is survived by his sons; Rev. Gerald Hice and wife, Benita of Tullahoma, Greg Hice of Tampa, Florida, Sister, Joyce Edwards and husband Mike of Winchester. 3-grandchildren – Aaron Hice and wife, Ashley of Tullahoma, Josh Hice and Seth Hice both of Winchester, 1-Great-grandson – Nolan Hice of Tullahoma and a Special Friend – Regina Haney of Winchester.

Visitation for Mr. Hice will be held from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday evening, Oct. 24, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester with family serving as pallbearers.

10/23/17 — Howell Bryan Rust

Visitation services for Howell Rust, age 57, of Manchester, Tennessee
will be conducted on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at
Central Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately afterwards
with Pastor Jane Herring officiating. Mr. Rust passed away Saturday,
October 21, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
Howell was born on May 30, 1960 in Manchester, Tennessee. He was the
owner/operator of Northside Clocks for 22 years enjoying his craft and
being with the public. To relax after hours of tedious work he enjoyed
the fresh air of the outdoors.
Preceded in death by his father Henry Rust. Survived by his loving
mother, Barbara Maze Rust; children, Derek Rust (Nicole), Erika Holt
(Jason); sisters, Brenda Hitt (Brent), Ruthie Frassrand (David);
grandchildren, Derek Braxton and Amelia Kate Rust; special friends,
Marcos Moore and wife Barbie, Glenn Cox and Cynthia Duke.

10/23/17 — Martha Jane Boyd

Mrs. Martha Jane Boyd, age 50, of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away on October 20, 2017 at St. Thomas-West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Martha was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee on March 30, 1967 to Mary Prince Smith and the late Charles Wayne Smith. She was a member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church, loved to play the game Candy Crush, watch Law & Order and cook. Martha’s favorite thing was being a mother and taking care of her two girls.
In addition to her father, Martha was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda Boyd and two brothers, Clifford and Darrell Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Boyd; two daughters, Kristina (T.J.) Reno of Estill Springs, Tennessee and Jessica Boyd of Tullahoma. Along with her mother Mary, one sister Anita (Timothy) Vines survive.
Visitation with family members will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Bro. Scott Byrom will officiate a funeral service in the funeral home’s chapel following visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Bomar Cemetery.

Funeral services for Marilyn Diane Allen, age 76 of Bradyville will be on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester with Pastor Rick Clouse officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Church of Christ cemetery in Bradyville.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.

Marilyn Diane Allen. age 76 entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on Friday, June 20, 1941 in Lola, Kentucky to the late Charles Everette Clark and Gracie Alda Suits Clark. She was married to Jesse Adams for 18 years and they had 4 children together. He preceded her in death in 1996.

She later married William Eugene Allen and he also preceded her in death.

She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her children: Tina Adams Mitchell (Wendell) of Bradyville and Jessie Dwayne Adams (Denise) of Fort Myers, Florida. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Rebecca Lynn Adams in 1974 and one son: James Denford Adams in 2006

10/23/17 — Margaret Louise Johnson

Mrs. Johnson passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Thomas
Rutherford Hospital. Visitation for Mrs. Margaret Louise (Hotaling)
Johnson, age 83, will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 at Central Funeral
Home. Graveside service will follow at Fredonia Cemetery with Pastor
Nutter officiating.
Margaret was born April 29, 1934 in Dawson County, Nebraska to the late
Floyd C. and Alice Hotaling. In November 1953 she married Delaine
Johnson. To this union two children were born, Darlene Wilson of Clayton,
North Carolina and Darrel Johnson of Manchester, Tennessee. She worked
many years for the Kearney Hub newspaper, retiring in 1996. In that year
she moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, then in 1997 she moved to Manchester,
Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was also preceded in
death by two brothers; Clifford and Donald Johnson; and a sister, Dorothy
Robbins. She is survived by two children; Darrell Johnson (Kelli) and
Darlene Johnson Wilson (Gerald), four grandchildren; Brandon and Preston
Wilson; Justin Davis and Josh Davis, three brothers; Bernard, Roy and
Eldon Johnson; along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation services for Mr. William Forrest Parker Jr., age 83 of Tullahoma, will be conducted on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. for friends. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 immediately following the visitation at the Chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. Mr. Parker passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Harton.
Mr. Parker was born in Hillsboro, Tennessee to the late William Forrest Sr. and Delia Warren Parker. Before retiring he worked at Wilson Sporting Goods in the shipping department. He was a member of Bethal Baptist Church. He also cherished 30 years with his best friend and wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Cleo Shipley, Gertude Parker, brothers; J.W. Parker, Brian Lee Parker, son; Jimmy Parker.

Survived by his loving wife; Virginia Wilson Parker, children; Forrest E. Parker (Lori), Deleana Philips (Eddie), sisters; Florence Rust, Jean Wood, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

10/20/17–Coy A. Noblitt

Visitation services for Mr. Coy A. Noblitt, age 88 of Manchester, will be conducted on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. for friends. Funeral services will start at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Central Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Manchester City Cemetery. Mr. Noblitt passed away Thursday, October 17, 2017 at Unity Medical Center.
Mr. Noblitt was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Coy and Louise Cobb Noblitt. He enjoyed working as a Security guard at Arnold Air Force Base. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. Mr. Noblitt dedicated his life serving his community. He was a member of the Manchester Lions Club, Manchester Rotary, Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Army National Guard, Tullahoma Masonic Lodge (262), 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrinners. In addition, he served two terms as the Mayor of Manchester and one term as Alderman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, June Noblitt Petty and son, James Paul Noblitt. Survived by his loving wife Jewell Cooper Noblitt; son, Gary A. Trail (Sharon); granddaughter,Tonya R. Trail; special friends, Doug and Linda Bryan, Carl and Carol Russell, Lonnie Norman, and Amie, Layla, Lynlie Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations go to Manchester Lions Club or Diabetic Awareness.

10/21/17 — Joseph C. Johnson

Joseph C Johnson of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2017
at Tennova Healthcare – Harton at the age of 94 years. Funeral services are
scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1 PM at Daves-Culbertson
Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12 PM – 1
PM
at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was the son of the late Cornelius and Hattie Valentine Johnson.
He was born in Hollandale, Mississippi on December 22, 1922. Joseph
attended Simmons High School in Hollandale and then joined the U S Army and
served in WW II from 1943-1945. He then was employed by the Chicago Transit
Authority for over 30 years before retiring and relocating to Tullahoma. He
enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Joseph confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and later joined Mount
Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Tullahoma. He later attended West End
Baptist Church in Tullahoma.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine
Johnson; son, Bernard Williamson; brothers, Sylvester and Otha Charles
Johnson and sisters, Beatrice, Marie and Ruby Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by one son, Gary Jackson and his wife, Elsie of
Tullahoma; two daughters, Gaynell Jackson-Burnside and her husband, Willie
of Tullahoma and Jacquline Welton and her husband, Philander of Las Vegas,
NV; brother, James Johnson of Joliet, IL; sister, Marthella Johnson of
Chicago; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; six great great
grandchildren, special friends, Mary Childress and Irvin Lane of Tullahoma
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

10/19/17 — Betty Marie Roberts

Betty Marie Roberts of Tullahoma passed this life on Monday, October 16,
2017 at her residence at the age of 88 years. Funeral Services are
scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 AM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with
the family will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5 – 7 PM at
Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roberts, a native of Newport, TN was the daughter of the late James
and Anna Mae Clevenger Fine. She was a member of Vine Street Church of God
in Tullahoma. She was a loving mother and enjoyed flower arranging,
decorating, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed playing the piano
and singing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt.
Garliss L Roberts; son, Steve Roberts; brothers, Jimmy, Billy and Jack Fine
and sisters, Jennie Staton and Carolyn Maxwell.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son, Bobby Roberts of Tullahoma; one
daughter, Maria Bass and her husband, James of Estill Springs; brother,
Rev. Donnie Fine and his wife, Candy of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren;
fourteen great grandchildren and special friend, Edith Kimsey of Tullahoma.
