Clinton Edward Nichols

Clinton Edward Nichols, age 76, of Summitville, TN, passed away at his residence on March 2, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time.

Clinton was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Edward and Alice Whitman Nichols. He was a United States Navy veteran and a retired security guard. Clinton enjoyed riding horses and was a radio broadcaster for many years on several stations.

In addition to his parents, Clinton was also preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Faye Bratcher. He is survived by his children, Christopher Clinton Nichols, Julie Ann Nichols, and Susan Carol (Curt) Gibbs; two grandchildren, William “Trey” Lee Brewer, III and Katie Caroline Gibbs; one brother, Phillip Bruce (Sandi) Nichols; nephew, Phillip Brent Nichols; and niece, Carrie Beth Elkins.

Joanne Caskie Cameron

Joanne Caskie Cameron of Tullahoma passed this life on Sunday, March 8,
2020 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, at the age of 60.  No services are
scheduled.

A native of Manchester, Joanne was the daughter of the late John Caskie and
Mary Frances Wahlig Miller.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and working in
her yard.  In addition, she enjoyed politics.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Michael Cameron of Tullahoma and sister,
Julie Dilworth and her husband, Dwight of Copper Canyon, TX.

3/11/20– Alvin Don Gravitt

Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Don Gravitt, age 75 of Manchester, will be conducted on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the funeral from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Mr. Gravitt passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Manchester Healthcare.
Don was born on September 18, 1944 in Chattanooga to the late M.C. and Mildred Bradshaw Gravitt. He retired from Carrier Corporation in Morrison, TN. He loved fishing, trading, and going to yard sales. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Leon Gravitt; sister, Peggy Gravitt Mankin. Survived by his sons, Chris Gravitt (Kennie), Chad Gravitt; daughters, Trisha Thomas, Shelley Lynn; brother, Rick Gravitt (Helga); grandchildren, Devin, Austin, Justin, Madalyn, Braxtin, Lily May, Paige Lockhart, McKenzie Sullivan, Alexandria Lynn, Tyler Curtis, Logan Simons ; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

2/29/20– Susan Jeanette Wood

Mrs. Susan Jeanette Wood, 85, passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 at the Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was born in Effingham, IL on October 30, 1934, to R. B. Walters and Harriet Michener Walters who preceded her in death along with her husband, Raymond Martin Wood. She was a member of the Manchester First Methodist Church where she taught pre-school and was a member of the hand bell choir. She was a Rotary Ann, assisting with the Manchester Rotary Club, and served on the Manchester City School Board for several years. She was also a member of P.E.O. International. She is survived by her sons, Mark W. (Tammie S. Belcher) Wood, Chattanooga, TN and Michael W. (Susannah) Wood, Portland, ME; daughter, Cathy L. (John L. Pitts) Wood, Corinth, MS; grandchildren, Liz (Jason) Behel, Florence, AL, Carolyn Myers, Madison, AL, Samuel Wood, Chattanooga, Wyatt and Harper Wood, Portland, ME; great grandchildren, Nolan, Emmett and Wesley Behel. 3/12/20 – Evelyn Jane Bryan

Mrs. Evelyn Jane Bryan, 88, passed away Saturday
March 7, 2020 at McArthur Manor in Manchester.  She was born in Manchester,
Tennessee on June 24, 1931 to John Farrar and Zora West Farrar who preceded
her in death along with her husband, Rev. Vernon Bryan; great grandson,
Grayson Bryan; sisters, Minnie (Merlin) Decker, Annie Ruth (Herb) Moyer;
brothers, Virgil (Louise) Farrar, Carl (Helen) Farrar, John Jr. (Jackie)
Farrar and Ray Farrar.

She was a member of the Hubbard’s Cove Church of God.  She was a seamstress
at Batesville Casket Company from 1970 – 1994.  After her retirement from
Batesville she worked part-time at Pizza Hut.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Stephens, Manchester; daughters, Donna
Bryan, Manchester, Kay (Bill) Hutti, Nolensville, Monica Shelton, Judy
Lewis, Ginger Baker and Cindy Bryan all of Hillsboro; sons, Dexter (Penny)

Evelyn Louise Pass, 89, passed away, Saturday
March 7, 2020 at NHC of Tullahoma. She was born in Hickman, Tennessee on
July 6, 1930 to James Roy Agee and Martha Louise Barbee Agee who preceded
her in death along with her husband, James E. Pass; sister, Carolyn Pass.

She was a member of the Manchester First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy W. (Carol) Pass, Manchester and Eddie
(Cheryl) Pass, Beach Grove; daughter, Darlene (Paul) Goodier, Orange Park,
Florida; grandchildren, Jonathon and Amy Beth Pass.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Wilson County
Memorial Park Cemetery in Lebanon, Tennessee.  Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00

3/10/20 — Elton Dwight Uselton

Mr. Elton Dwight Uselton, 61, passed away Saturday
March 7, 2020 at the home of his brother in Manchester, Tennessee.  He was
born in Woodbury, Tennessee on April 14, 1958.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Haggard Uselton and his
sister, Jerrie Denise Uselton.

He is survived by his father, Edgar W. Uselton; brother, Danny Uselton;
nephew, Tyler Uselton.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday in the Central Funeral Home
chapel with Minister Danny Anderson officiating with burial to follow in

3/8/20– Jo Nell Crawford Riddle

Jo Nell Crawford Riddle, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2020, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. She was born on December 25, 1925, to the late Frank G. and Lucille Dunn Crawford in the Stephenson Community near Hillsboro.

Those who loved her called her Mama Jo, and she was known for her sweet disposition and caring demeanor. A devoted wife and homemaker, she loved spending time with her family, nurturing beautiful flowers and plants, working intricate puzzles, and watching collegiate and professional basketball. Her favorite creature was the redbird, a symbol of beauty and warmth. In her later years, Mama Jo enjoyed car rides back to Hillsboro and visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband J.D. Riddle, son Rodney Neal (Pam) Riddle, son-in-law Mark Lundquist, and brothers Jerry Crawford and Jim (Carolyn) Crawford. She is survived by children Brenda Jo Riddle, James Douglas “Bud” (Pam) Riddle, Janice Riddle and Lee Ann Riddle Lundquist; grandchildren Tammy (Richard) Harrington, Jeff Ridner, Allison (Eric) Beachboard, Amy (Kent) Ayer, Brad (Katy) Riddle, Joshua (Ashley) Riddle; sister Edna Ruth (Doyle) Lewis, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation held from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, at Manchester Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service. Arrangements are made by Murfreesboro Funeral Home.

3/7/20– Carl Dennis Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Dennis Jones, age 70, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Manchester Funeral Home with Bro. James Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in Adam Duncan Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Jones passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN.

Dennis was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Gerald K. Jones and Gladys O. Trail Jones. He retired from IBEW Local 429 after 35 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was also preceded in death by brothers Linn, Dwight, Edsel and Stanley Jones; and one grandson, Justin Jones. He is survived by two sons, Ken Jones and wife, Kimberly Jones of Bradyville, TN, and Stephen Jones of Manchester; his loving partner, Christina Magierski and her son, Matt Magierski; brothers, Marlin (Michelle Cantrell) Jones and Benny (Dowe) Jones, both of Manchester; sisters, Brenda (Billy) Vaughn and Jan (James) Cossey, both of Manchester; sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; five grandchildren, Jordan (Jasmine) Jones, Tyler Jones, and Brianna Jones, all of Manchester, Hunter Clements and Macy Clements, both of Bradyville; three great grandchildren, Logan Jones, Laine Jones, and Alexandria Jones; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
