Karrol June Basham

Mrs. Karrol June Basham, age 81, of Manchester, TN,
passed from this life on Friday, April 29, 2022, in Manchester, TN.

Mrs. Basham was born in McMinnville, TN, to her late parents Alton A.
Hendrixson and Lucille Bess Hendrixson. She was a homemaker all her life.
Mrs. Basham loved gardening and taking care of her animals. When she was
younger, she had an artistic side in painting, photography, creative
writing, and playing guitar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a sister, Jo Anne Bishop.

Mrs. Basham is survived by a son, Brent (Ladonne) Basham; daughter, Lia
(Brent) Parsley; brother, Douglas Hendrixson; grandchildren, Matthew and
Brad Basham, Ryan Jennings; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 12noon
until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services
will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 2:00pm in the
chapel of Central Funeral Home with Paul Parsley officiating. Burial will
follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

Sammy Michael Parham

Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Michael Parham, age 74 of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow in Forest Mill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the funeral home.  Mr. Parham passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Manchester.

Sammy was born in Crossville, TN on June 23, 1947, the son of the late Claude and Mary Jane Parham.  He was a heavy equipment operator for many years.  Sammy enjoyed hunting in his spare time.  Whether it was squirrels, deer, rabbits, or raccoons, you could always find Sammy outside hunting.  He was also a very good dog trainer, but most importantly, family was the number one thing in Sammy’s life.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Sammy is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Parham; brother, Joe Parham; sister, Carolyn Bush.  He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Hyde (Ronnie); son, Michael Phillips; brothers, Sidney, Donnie, Gary, and Terry Parham; sister, Reta Parham; grandchildren, Chris Duke, Lindsey Duke, Danielle Phillips, and Heather Payne; great-grandchildren, Corbin, Landry, Spencer, Victoria, Chelsea, Rachel, and Haley; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

John William Ray

John William Ray of Estill Springs passed this life on Tuesday, April 25 at
NHC of Tullahoma at the age of 69. No services are scheduled.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Billy Hoyt and Rita
Hill Ray. He enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and going to yard sales.
He played Baseball when he was young and was an avid Braves fan.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Polly Ray of Estill Springs; daughters,
April Baker (Matthew) of Tullahoma and June Sims (Calvin) of Tullahoma;
brothers, Mike Ray (Debbie) of Cowan and Greg Ray (Beverly) of Idaho;
grandchildren, Bethany Stratton (Jeff), Taylor Ellis and Eric Latham and
great grandchildren, Landon and Emma Stratton.

Vicki Sue Taylor

Vicki Sue Taylor, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, April 25 th , 2022 at Life Care Center at the age of 64. Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Vaughn Oakley and her husband Wendell II; and one sister, Jennifer Taylor Halsey. She is survived by her father, Jim (Brenda) Taylor; special friend, Stephanie Thompson; half-sister, Jimi Dee (Josh) Clark; step-siblings, Wendell (Debra) Oakley III, Kim (Lynn) Oakley, Ryan (Elizabeth) Yantz, and Laryssa (Scott) King. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 29 th , 2022 at 1:00pm at Powell Cemetery in the Raus Community in Bedford County.

William Eugene Smith

William Eugene Smith of Tullahoma, TN passed away on Monday, April 25,
2022, at the age of 82 surrounded by his family.

He was born to parents William Elbert and Marie Smith, on December 21,
1939, in Salem, IL. He served his country honorably in the Marines.  Bill
worked as an engineer on Union Pacific for 30 years.

Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Marie Smith.  He is
survived by his wife Phyllis of 40 years, son Rodger (Chasidy) Smith,
daughters Rebecca (Kenny) Zinser, Robin (Roland) Bruyns as well as his
grandsons, Alex, Derek, Colin, and Owen.

Bill was known for his love of fishing and golf, easy laugh, and generous
spirit. He lived a full life filled with joy and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 2:00 – 3:00 with
services to follow immediately after. Services will be at the First United
Methodist Church, 65 Mechanic Street North, Lynchburg, TN 37352.

Pearl E. Brothers

Graveside services for Mrs. Pearl E. Brothers, age 99 of Beechgrove, will be conducted at 1:45PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury, TN.  The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Manchester Funeral Home.  Mrs. Brothers passed from this life on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Manchester Center Rehab in Manchester, TN.

Pearl was born in Cannon County, TN on May 2, 1922, the daughter of the late William “Billy” and Naola Williams.  Pearl was a member of Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and she was also a member of the Beechgrove Home Demonstration Club for many years.  Pearl worked at Colonial Shirt Factory in Woodbury for over 20 years.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting in her spare time.  Pearl also enjoyed flowers and decorating cakes.  She was very family oriented, and her family meant everything to her.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Pearl is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Brothers; two sons, John and Jack Brothers; brother, William “Billy” Williams Jr.; two grandchildren, Patricia Moradain and Laura Fults.  She is survived by her son, Mark Brothers (Jenny); three daughters, Patsy Rogers (Jerry), Naola Tarpley (Carter), and Cathey Fults (Jimmy); fourteen grandchildren, Billy, Lisa, Jeff, Jerri, Jennifer, Douglas, Chris, Josh, Rachel, Stacy, Erica, Andrew, Adam, and Ashley; seventeen great-grandchildren.

Paul David Baker Jr.

Mr. Paul David Baker, Jr., age 65, of Rock Island,
TN, passed from this life on Monday, April 25, 2022, at his residence. Mr.
Baker was born in Indianapolis, IN, to his late parents Paul David Baker
Sr. and Joyce Matthews. He worked with Lowe’s as a kitchen specialist for
many years. Mr. Baker enjoyed working on anything with a motor and loved
building things. He also enjoyed camping with his family and loved doing
anything with his grandkids and great grandkids. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Paul Baker; daughter,
Jessica Rae Baker; brother, Frankie Romero Baker; sister, Deborah Sue
Baker; grandparents, Sam and Nola Matthews and George and Inez Baker. Mr.
Baker is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jenene St. John Baker; daughter,
Jennifer Jernigan (Doug Holmes); brother in law, Mike (Debbie) St. John;
sister in law, Debbie Reavis (Robert Young); grandchildren, Brooke
(Michael), Cody, Andy, Ashley; great grandchildren, Grady, Paislee, Olivia,
and Garron. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 27,
2022, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 2:00pm
from the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Manchester

Jessie Williams Voorhies

Jessie Williams Voorhies, age 79, of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, April 24 th , 2022 at his residence. He was born in Poland, Louisiana to the late Jessie H. and Ora Mary Voorhies. Jessie served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked part-time for a few years doing construction work. His most loved hobbies were playing golf and fishing. Jessie was a member of Little Hurricane Baptist Church and loved his Lord and all his church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Lee and Milburn Voorhies; one sister, Barbara Charrier. Jessie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha Voorhies of Winchester; two sisters, Henrietta Ovella (E.J.) and Lola Belt of Alexandria, Louisiana; and many loving nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27 th , 2022 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28 th , 2022 ay 11:00am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Cantrell and Bro Donald Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Little Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Kent Elliott Gabrys

Kent Elliott Gabrys, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, April 23 rd , 2022 at his home at the age of 67. Kent was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Alfred and Barbara Norwash Gabrys. He served his country in the Unites States Navy and then went on to work as an Enterprise System Architect Manager for Becket & Lee LLP. Kent was also a Ham Radio enthusiast with his call sign being KD1IJ. Together, Kent and his wife Mary raised four Yorkshire Terriers and loved them dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three of his Yorkies, Riley, Cassie and Abby. Kent is survived and will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Mary Kula Gabrys and his beloved Yorkie, Sadie, who were both at his side at the time of his death. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maureen LaRoche and Dawn Patch along with her husband Jeff. A funeral service with family and friends will take place at a later date in Connecticut. Luta Trey Hetzler

Luta Trey Hetzler passed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at
Huntsville Hospital.  Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, April
28, 2022 at 11 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Luta was the son of Jeremiah and Catherine Hetzler.  In addition to his
parents, he is survived by brothers, Julian and Meir; grandmother, Jane
Gray Bryan; grandparents, Roger and Dianna Fortner and great grandfather,
Ronald Hudson. Luta was preceded in death by grandfather, Jack Bryan.
