Leslie Dawn Brown

Manchester, Tennessee – On Saturday July 25, 2020 Leslie Dawn Brown passed
away.  Leslie was born September 3, 1975 in Manchester, Tennessee.  She was
the daughter of Sherri Wilhelm Cooper Hollis and the late Jimmy Keith
Cooper.  She is the granddaughter of the late James Price Wilhelm and Nova
Leona Wilhelm, and the late James Roger Cooper and Faye Armstrong Shaw.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lauren Ashleigh Brown Gosnell
(husband Justin Gosnell), mother, Sherri Wilhelm Hollis (husband William M.
Hollis), her uncle James Robert Wilhelm (aunt Betty Bryan Wilhelm) all of
Manchester, Tennessee.  Lots of cousins and family who loved her dearly!

Leslie had a huge love for animals, which she shared with her daughter
Lauren.  She worked at Pawfessional Grooming, Lauren’s shop, where they
shared that love on a daily basis. She enjoyed playing softball and later
enjoyed watching her daughter play softball and basketball. Her love and
huge heart were extended to home and her 2 small dogs, PeeWee and Gammy!
Leslie was a beautiful soul taken from us far to early!

Jessie Sue Rowland Rutledge

Jessie Sue Rowland Rutledge, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at her home at the age of 54. She was born in Manchester to the late Mr. & Mrs. Billy Rowland. Jessie loved the ocean and being at the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister. Jessie is survived by her husband, Joe Rutledge; daughter, Ashley Reid and her children, Isabella Eldridge and Liam Reid; son, Cameron Hevener; son, Joseph Rutledge and his children, Valerie Carlie and Cassie Rutledge; daughter, Melissa Keen and her children, Samantha Keen, Evan Miller, and Raylen Ray; daughter, Laquitta Qualls and her children, Kannon Baker, Maliah Qualls, and Makayla Qualls; daughter, Latisha Sharp and her children, Joseph Sharp and Gracie Crook; son, Joe Rutledge Jr.; and one sister, Vickie Brown and her children, Brittney and Colton Brown. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 3:00-5:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kilgore Funeral Home to help cover funeral costs.

Jacquelyn Noschese

Ms. Jacquelyn Noschese, age 77, of Manchester, passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 24, 2020, at her residence.  Jacquelyn was born on April 25, 1943, the daughter of the late Leroy and Margaretha Hartman.  She worked for First Vision Bank before her retirement.  Jacquelyn loved to knit, take care of her plants, and her dogs.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Jacquelyn is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Emil Noschese.  She is survived by her daughter, Karen Gold (Phillip); two sisters, Marlene Hartman and Margaret Peterson; two grandchildren, Brandy Gold and Hunter Gold.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Jacquelyn’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your local animal shelter.

John “Michael” Arnold

John “Michael” Arnold of Kelso passed this life on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the age of 73. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 6:00PM at Donaldson Grove Baptist Church in Elora. Brother Bob Hill will be officiating.
Mr. Arnold was the son of the late John and Jeanne Arnold. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Arnold; sister, Suki (David) Baugh; nieces, Jennifer (Jeff) White and Julie (Joe) McCullaugh; great nieces, Miles, Molly, and Grafton.

Chestine Parrish Oliver

Columbia native Chestine Parrish Oliver, 75, passed on from this life at 12:55am on July 18, 2020 at her home in Hillsboro, TN just outside Manchester.

Chestine was born June 2, 1945 in Maury County, TN, to the late Chesley and Carrie Parrish.

She will be greatly missed by all those who love her. Anyone you ask about her would say she had such a sweet and caring spirit, and a laugh you could recognize anywhere. She devoted several years after her retirement in order to care for her ailing parents. That example is one of the things that made her so special. She so loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids, whom she talked about any chance she had. She was a faithful member of the Hillsboro church of Christ in Hillsboro, TN. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach to see the sunrise, and spending time with her family. 

Chestine was a 1963 graduate of Central High School in Columbia, worked at Farm Credit for 24 years before retiring from Comdata Corp. Chestine also served with the American Diabetes Association and volunteered at Columbia Academy and Maury Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her sister Vicki Mangrum (Paul) of Hendersonville, TN; three sons, Jerry Glenn Oliver Jr. (Joseph Milillo) of Palm Springs, CA; David Parrish Oliver (Tamela) of Shady Grove, TN; Jonathan Paul Oliver (Jamie) of Manchester, TN; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Parrish.

Funeral services for Chestine was held Monday, July 20, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Burial followed in Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 4-8pm and Monday, July 20, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Eleanor R. Nation

Eleanor Rolman Nation, a native of Lynchburg, passed this life on Thursday,
July 16, 2020 in Tampa, FL at the age of 85.  Private family graveside
services are scheduled in Lynchburg.  A Memorial Service will be scheduled
in the fall.

Mrs. Nation was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie Martin.  She was
raised in Lynchburg where her parents owned the Five and Dime on the
square. She earned B.S. and M.A. degrees in music education from Middle
Tennessee State University and did summer studies at the University of
Michigan. However, she was an avid Tennessee Vols football fan.

She retired after 30 years as a choral music educator in the Huntsville
City Schools.  She taught at Davis Hills Junior High and Johnson High
School during her career and directed mixed, Ladies’ and Men’s choruses, as
well as numerous ensembles.  All were recognized for their performance of
quality choral literature and consistently earned many awards. In addition,
Mrs. Nation served as the youth choir director at First Presbyterian and
Lakewood United Methodist churches and then became the adult choir director
at Holmes United Methodist Church in Huntsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Karen
Rolman Lee.

She is survived by son, Michael Rolman and his wife, Kim of Lutz, FL;
grandson, Mason Rolman; daughter, Vickie Rolman Chapman and her husband,
Kevin of Frederick, MD and sister, Phyllis Martin Davis and her husband,
Mack of Jackson, GA.

Darletta Baltimore

Funeral services for Ms. Darletta Baltimore, age 67, of Manchester, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Manchester Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the funeral home. Ms. Baltimore passed from this life surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at her residence in Manchester, TN.

Darletta was born on September 21, 1952, in Muncie, IN, the daughter of the late Imogene Lance. She worked for Crane Industries in Woodbury before her retirement. Darletta loved to dance, tie-dye, and spoil her grandchildren. She was known as the “Tie-Dye Lady”. Darletta was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

Darletta is survived by her three sons, James Baltimore Jr. (Sandy), Timothy Baltimore, and Jeffery Baltimore; two daughters, Tina Baltimore and Rebecca Morrison (Andy); one brother, Ronnie Lance; three sisters, Judy Henson, Debbie Bryan, and Phyllis Bowden; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Marcia Yevonne Killian Barnes

Marcia Yevonne Killian Barnes, age 70, passed away on July 21, 2020 at
Raintree Manor in McMinnville after an extended illness.  She was born on
November 12, 1949 to parents, Jim Houston Killian and Lyda Kate Christian
Killian who preceded her in death.  A nurse for 25 years, she cared for
many while working at Warren County Hospital, Warren Regional Hospital ,and
Stones River Hospital in Woodbury.  She was a member of Mt. Leo Church of
Christ.

Marcia loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and welcoming
people into her home.
Known for her great smile, inviting spirit, and giving heart, she leaves
behind many who will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, David Ralph Barnes of
McMinnville,  son, John Barnes, of McMinnville, daughter, Stephanie Barnes
Hobbs (Troy) of Morrison, Grandchildren, Hunter Hobbs of Morrison and Alex
Hobbs of Chattanooga, brother, Jeff Killian(Shannon) of McMinnville,
nieces, Amber McClure(Jimmy)of McMinnville, Finnley Killian of
McMinnville,and Taneah Lay(Rick) of Murfreesboro,nephews, Travis
Barnes(Crystal) of McMinnville, and Colby Killian(Caitlin) of Kansas.
Special Aunts, great nieces and  nephews and many cousins also survive.
She also leaves behind beloved, long-time friend, Vicky White of Doyle, Tn.

In honor of her wishes, there will be no service.   A gathering of family
and friends will be held later to remember and honor her.  Memorial
donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research hospital in
Memphis.  She was a long-time supporter of this cause.

Fannie “Mae” Higgins

Fannie “Mae” Higgins of Fayetteville passed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at her residence at the age of 78. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
Mrs. Higgins, a native of Lincoln county, served her community as a nurse for many years. She had a heart for people and cared deeply for every patient she had contact with throughout her career. Mrs. Higgins is not only remembered as being a wonderful nurse, she is also remembered for her creativity. She enjoyed spending time painting and crafting.
She is survived by her sons, David Higgins and Chris (Jessica) Higgins; brother, William “Buddy” Grammer; sisters, Gail Dempsey, Annie Bailey, Marlene Price; grandchildren, Casey Higgins and LeAnn Higgins; and six great grandchildren.

James Roy McKee

James Roy McKee of Tullahoma passed this life on Monday, July 20, 2020 at
the Lynchburg Nursing Center at the age of 88 years. Memorial Services are
scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral
Home.  The family will receive friends and relatives from 1 – 2 PM.

James, a native of Rutherford County, was the son of the late Spencer J.
and Maggie Lucille Paterson McKee. He was a very active senior citizen and
enjoyed going to the gym and working out.  He also enjoyed playing bridge
at the senior citizen center.  James was also a very dedicated AA sponsor
for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Concetta
“Tina” McKee; brother, Harry Eugene McKee and sister, Evelyn Roberta
Dunaway.

He is survived by sons, Anthony Kapalczynski (Jennifer) of Memphis and
Louis Kapalczynski (Brenda) of Meridian, Idaho; daughter, Jennifer Gilbert
(James) of Parker, CO; sister, Maybell Basham of Murfreesboro and four
grandchildren, James Gilbert and Brandon, Ryan and Kaylee Kapalczynski.
