Life Choices Pregnancy Support Center in Winchester TN has been open now for 3 1/2 years. They believe they are an alternative to abortion by supporting young girls and women with the necessities for their babies. They offer free pregnancy tests anytime and free ultrasounds between weeks 7-13. Life Choices has a baby boutique and the moms and dads can take parenting classes and earn baby bucks and then shop in the boutique. They also offer abstinence education through youth groups and schools in Franklin County which helps kids to understand the consequences of their action when choosing to not to be abstinent. Their Post-Abortive Counselors are here to help anyone work through the healing process after an abortion whether the abortion was recent or decades ago. Life Choices is a lot more than just a pregnancy test center!
In 2016 at the Winchester center, 549 clients visited the center and 264 of them were new clients! Over 5,200 items were earned in the Baby Boutique. They performed 15 Sonograms and 17 Pregnancy Tests. Life Choices is bringing the same services and outreach to Manchester.
Life Choices is having a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting in Manchester on February 15th at Noon. They will be located at 300A W Fort Street.

2/3/17—H&R Block Student of the Week Jayden Fellers
Congratulations to Student of the Week -Jayden Fellers!!! Jayden, the son of Tim and Tara Fellers, is a fifth grader at North Coffee Elementary School. Jayden was chosen to be honored because “he is polite, respectful and always does what is right, all the time. He gets straight “A’s” and is a joy to have in class ”, says Principal of North Coffee School, Adam Clark. Jayden likes to hunt and fish. He plans to go college and become a professional baseball player. Rosalyn Partin, owner of the Manchester H&R Block, has been inspired to recognize great kids in our community all through hockey season. What does hockey season have to do with our local students? Well, H&R Block gives each Student of the Week a set of Nashville Predators Hockey tickets, a commemorative plaque, as well as a special letter of recognition. Three People Arrested after missing Kentucky rental car found traveling on I-24 in Coffee County
The trio were traveling in a 2017 Nissan Altima that was reported stolen out of Kentucky where a fake credit card was allegedly used to rent the vehicle. Estimated value of the vehicle was approximately $22,500.
Galbreath and Andrews were charged with theft of property and bond was set at $100,000 each and Lamons was charged with theft of property and driving on revoked/suspended license. His bond was set at $101,500. All three will appear in Coffee County court on March 28, 2017.
Oak Ridge Man Facing Multiple Charges in Coffee County
Upon having the subject exit the vehicle the officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found two digital scales and a fully loaded Glock 9mm pistol under the passenger’s seat. The subject is a convicted felon and may not be in possession of a weapon.
Dotson was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities and illegal possession of a weapon. Bond was set at $13,000 and he’ll appear in court Feb 27, 2017.
Warren County Student Shot and Killed
A Warren County teenager was shot and killed early Tuesday during an apparent altercation with a person in Cannon County.
Local authorities say 17 year old Scott Sullivan died after being shot by a man who had reportedly tried to intervene in an altercation between Sullivan and a homeowner on Spurlock Road, just over the county line.
The incident is being investigated by the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department.
Sullivan was a student at Warren County High School.
Shelbyville Police Searching for Suspect
The suspect, Josh N. Brown of Shelbyville, led officers on pursuit on Belmont Avenue and eventually fled on foot off 130W just south of Riverbend Country Club.
Officers spent hours searching a heavily wooded area, but the search was called off.

2/2/17—Westwood Middle School Students Learn CPR
Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. About 40 people each hour have a cardiac arrest while not in a hospital, and just over nine out of 10 do not survive, according to American Heart Association statistics. Each year, more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. Manchester City School staff are required to be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
After re-certifying Westwood Middle School Staff in the American Heart Association’s (CPR), school Nurse, Joyce Crites, RN, BSN, was inspired to instruct the students at Westwood Middle School in the “Hands Only” CPR Program.
Once completed, Nurse Crites will have demonstrated this program to over 250 Westwood Middle School students. Find out more about the “Hands Only” CPR program at the American Heart Association website wwww.heart.org
Dynamic Message Sign Contest going on Now
Tennessee motorists can try their hand at coming up with a winning safety message for the overhead message signs on the state interstate highways.
The state Department of Transportation says it’s holding a contest again this year for a catchy safety message.
The agency is taking entries for the 2017 Dynamic Message Sign Contest in five categories: seat belt usage, impaired driving, distracted driving, speeding and aggressive driving.
To enter the contest, visit the agency’s website at http://www.tn.gov/tdot/article/dms-contest . The contest runs through Feb. 10, and the public will vote through the same website.
Counterfeit Money Passed at Two Tullahoma Businesses
Tullahoma Police are investigating the passing of counterfeit money at the Goodwill store located on North Jackson Street on Jan. 27.
An employee of the store reported to Officer Jacob Smith that a woman entered the store and paid for a purchase with a $100 bill. The bill was checked with a counterfeit marking pen and passed, however when the money was presented to Ascend Credit Union they learned that the bill was counterfeit.
Detective Tyler Hatfield is investigating the incident.
Police are investigating the passing of a second $100 bill. On Jan. 26 the manager of Mapco reported to Tullahoma Police Officer George Dodson that a white female entered the store and paid for a purchase with the bill. When a marking pen was used it passed, however, when management made a deposit at their bank they learned that it was counterfeit.
Detective Johnny Gore is investigating the incident.
Tullahoma Police Investigating Possible Theft
The owner of Express Lube and Car Wash, Lisa Ford, located on North Jackson Street reported to Tullahoma Police Officer Carl Pyrdom that one of the managers of the business had allegedly taken a deposit bag and cash from the register on five separate occasions totaling $921. The report states that the man, who was not identified as he has not been arrested, placed paper and rags over the security cameras in the office and blocked off the camera feed. Ford also alleged that the manager also took a case of oil and four oil filters.
A Tennessee Highway Patrolman advised Officer Pyrdom that the former manager was involved in a traffic accident in Bedford County and that the oil and filters were recovered.
Warrants have been obtained by Detective Johnny Gore for the man but police have not been able to locate him.
