Mark Edwin Petty
On June 1st, 2021, the Lord called home Mark Edwin Petty as he was surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born on March 11, 1961 in Manchester, Tennessee and retired from Batesville Casket Company on January 1st, 2019 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed time with his family and friends. He loved Nascar racing, hunting and fishing. He also took great pride in caring for his lawn and garden. Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Chuck” Petty; grandparents, Dewey and Willie Mae Petty & Dave and Pauline Harris. Mark is survived by, loved and adored by his wife of 41 1/2 years, Kava Petty. Mark and Kava also raised two sons, Phillip (Ivy) Petty and Christopher Petty. Mark was the most admired Pa to his grandchildren, Bradley (Taylor) Tobitt, Joshua Tobitt, Blythe (Brandon Presley) Petty, Adam Petty and Brynlee Petty. He was also a proud great grandfather to Carson and Gage Presley. Mark was raised by remarkable parents, Steve and Joyce Knight. He is also survived by his loving mother-in-law, Rebecca Harryman. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Visitation will also be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 11:00am until 2:00pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm from the

Ruth Pardue Craddock
Craddock, Ruth Pardue , of Tullahoma, passed this life on Thursday, June 3 rd , 2021 at her home at the age of 95. Mrs. Craddock was born in Joelton, TN to the late Richard L. Pardue Sr. and Minnie Edmundson Pardue. During her life she worked as a bookkeeper at ERPUD and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Tullahoma where she was a member of the Kinozelian Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Craddock was preceded in death by her husband of 60, Robert Cordell Craddock, who died in 2002; one brother, R.L. Pardue Jr.; and four sisters, Anna Mary Maddox, Aline Barnes, Virginia Phillips, and Dorothea Anderson. She is survived by two sons, Richard (Janie) Craddock of Summitville, and Andy (Jayne) Craddock of Tullahoma; one brother, Murray (Nancy) Pardue of Orlando; grandchildren, Brian Craddock, Timothy Craddock, Christian Craddock, Bobbi Marshall, Vanessa Craddock, and Andrew Craddock II; and great-grandchildren, Melinda, Emily, Matthew, Christopher, Ephraim, Olivia, Michael, Noah, Lily, Emily Elizabeth, Gabriel, Liam, Brianna, Kelly, Rebecca, Emily Faith, and D.J. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 6 th , 2021 at 2:00pm at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to 5 Loaves 4 Kids, P.O. Box 597, Tullahoma, Tennessee 37388.

Youth football registration underway in Manchester
For those with youth ages 5-12 who wish to play youth football this fall – registration is now underway.
You can register by clicking here.
You can also register your child in person and participate in sizings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5 at Carden-Jarrell Field on the visitor’s side. In person registration will continue Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, June 26 from 9 am. to 1 p.m. both days.
For those who have already registered, those athletes will still need to attend one day for sizing and bring a copy of birth certificate.
Titans make roster additions
he Titans added a pair of veteran defensive linemen on Thursday, while parting ways with two others.
Added to the team: Trevon Coley and Abry Jones.
To make room on the 90-man roster, the Titans waived Daylon Mack and Jullian Taylor.
Coley (6-1, 311) has appeared in 44 games, including 31 starts, in four seasons with the Browns (2016-18), Colts (2019) and Cardinals (2020). He’s recorded 95 tackles and 3.5 sacks for his career. Coley initially signed with the Ravens after going undrafted out of Florida Atlantic in 2016, and he’s also spent time with the Washington Football Team and the New York Jets.
Jones (6-4, 318) has played in 105 games, with 52 starts, over the past eight seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s tallied 186 tackles and 9.5 sacks in his career, along with three fumble recoveries. Jones signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jaguars following the 2013 NFL Draft after playing in college at Georgia.

Swanson smacks career hit no. 500; Braves drop Nationals Thursday
Dansby Swanson continued to lead the charge on offense, and thanks to a couple of milestones, Atlanta’s offense came alive to secure a 5-1 victory over Washington in the series finale at Truist Park on Thursday afternoon.
With Austin Riley on second in the bottom of the sixth after an RBI double, Swanson stepped into the box looking to capitalize with another runner in scoring position. Swanson responded with a 440-foot home run over the left-field wall to push the Braves’ lead to four. This gave Swanson 10 homers on the year and was his 500th career hit. The monstrous jack also marked the longest of his career.

Coffee Middle to hold softball tryouts next week
Players wanting to be a part of the Coffee County Middle School softball team – tryouts are soon.
CMS will have tryouts for upcoming 6th and 7th grade from 4-5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 7. Tryouts for 6th and 8th grade will have tryouts from 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8.

ALL tryouts will be held at Coffee County Middle School.
-Every student MUST have a physical dated on or after April 15, 2020 to participate in tryouts. If he/she makes a team, he/she will need a physical dated on or after April 15, 2021 prior to the beginning of the 21-22 school year.
-Every student must have a completed Parent Consent, Cardiac Arrest & Concussion Form prior to tryouts. (The Parent Consent is part of the Physical form.)-All forms can be found on the CCMS Website. http://ccms.coffeecountyschools.com/ They are located on the left side of the home page. (Sports > Sports Forms).
-Beginning 21-22 school year, Homeschool students ARE now allowed to try out prior to completing their paperwork for the year. If he/she makes a team then the paperwork must be turned into the Central Office prior to August 1. However, they still must possess all the forms noted above (Physical, Parent Consent, etc….)

TBI issues silver alert for Tullahoma man
The Tullahoma Police Department needs your assistance in locating Mr. Charles Martin.
Mr. Martin was last seen on May 27th, 2021 at his home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Martin is described as 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 142 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He is believed to have left the home sometime that day or the day after in a white 2014 Ford Escape.
Mr. Martin suffers from dementia and may be very confused about where he is or may be heading.
Please contact the Tullahoma Police Department at 931-455-0530 or your local authorities if you have any information concerning his whereabouts.
COVID-19 vaccination sites
If you wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccine, you have an opportunity on Friday.
The Coffee County Health Department will be at Rec Center on Friday June 4th from 5:00pm-7:30pm to give free COVID vaccination to ages 12 and up. Pools and gym will be open to those who come for free.
Marcoms Pharmacy also holds vaccination clinics every Monday and Friday.
