Sarah Ann White, age 75 of Hillsboro, TN, died at her home on Sunday
morning, September 12, 2021, surrounded by her immediate family. She was
born Sarah Ann Woods on March 5, 1946, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late
Annie Jo Wood and the late William George Woods. She was preceded in death
by her mother and father-in-law, Willie Jean Creek (Bill White) and Raymond
I. White, of Hillsboro, TN. Ann graduated from Chattooga Central High
School, Summerville, GA, in 1964, then attended Shorter College, where she
obtained a bachelor of science degree in medical laboratory technology in
1968. She worked as a laboratory technologist at Floyd Hospital, Redmond
Park Hospital, and before retirement, Southeastern Pathology. She served
the medical community for more than 30 years in Floyd County, GA. Ann had a
passion and love for crafting and giving. Despite suffering from the
debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis, she continued to crochet for
the decades since her initial diagnosis, using the craft as a therapy for
her mind, hands, and a way of giving to others. She made countless afghans
she has left to her daughter, grandchildren, and friends as baby blankets
(and puppy blankets) throughout the years. Ann was an accomplished musician
whose music brought comfort to others as she played hymns and gospel music
on piano and organ for funerals as a young woman in Summerville, GA. She
loved to bake cookies for her grandsons and, until she was no longer able,
cook large meals for family gatherings. Ann is survived by her husband,
Billy White, of Hillsboro, a daughter and son-in-law, Dana White (Lance),
of Hillsboro; two grandsons, Will Davis, in Winchester; Ben Davis, of
Tuscaloosa, AL; a sister, Brenda Hayes, of Manchester; two nieces, and a
host of friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Manchester Funeral Home
from 11 AM until 1 PM with services to immediately in the funeral home
chapel. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Presbyterian Cemetery,
Hillsboro, TN.

Mrs. Francis Alfredia Pruitt Keele passed from this
life Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded by family. Fredia was born in
Newport, TN on August 24, 1946, to Lawrence and Reba Pruitt and was the
oldest of two children.  She was a Christian and a member of White Oak
Grove Church of God.  Fredia enjoyed cooking, spending time with her
friends and family, trips to Florida, and playing the piano.  Fredia owned
and operated the Chatterbox Cafe in the early 70’s.   Later she was known
by many as the “Tupperware lady” where she was a Tupperware unit manager
for many years.  For the past twenty years, she had been a caregiver for
the many handicapped friends she had the pleasure of caring for.  She was
loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Fredia is preceded in death by both parents, Lawrence and Reba Pruitt of
Newport.

Fredia is survived by one sister, Brenda (Tommy) Strange of Newport; sons,
Dennis (Kathy) York of Hillsboro and Keith (Jan) York of Manchester;
grandchildren, Tasha, Maggie, Tyler, and Kinsey; four step sons, Dujuan
Keele, Dale Keele, Dennis Keele, and Chris Keele; step grandchildren Kandi,
Robin, Rachel, Taylor, Cody, Patrick, Susan, and Mindy; many step
great-grandchildren; and special friend Truman Bush.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021,
from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted following visitation at 2:00pm with
Chris Keele officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mill Cemetery in
Manchester, TN.

William Terence (“Terry”) McMahan, age 76, died Sunday morning, September 12, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana, after a brief illness. Born July 31, 1945, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Joseph Oriel McMahan and Cornelia (Harrison) McMahan. Terry graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1963. He earned a BS degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in 1967, an MBA from Tulane University in 1973, and passed all parts of the CPA licensure exam in 1994. Terry faithfully served his country as a U.S. Army officer for 25 years. An Airborne Ranger and Army Aviator, some of his military assignments included Infantry-Aviation with the 82nd Airborne Division, Platoon Leader and Company Commander with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, Joint Casualty Resolution Center Aviator in Thailand, Exchange Army Officer at the United States Air Force Academy, and Professor of Military Science at Carson-Newman University. After his Army retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1992, Terry began a second career in higher education, working as an Assistant Professor of Business at Carson-Newman, VP of Business Affairs at Hiwassee College, Financial Director at Centre College, Senior Policy and Budget Analyst at the University of Louisville, and Business Manager at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Known for his love of God, country, and others, Terry would drop everything to help his family, friends, and even perfect strangers. A mentor to many college students and young adults throughout the years, he earned the name “Daddy Mac,” which he far preferred over any military rank or title. His favorite name, however, was undoubtedly “Grandad.” An attentive and loving father and grandfather, he could most often be found catching bandits, building forts, having tea parties, teaching budget or finance skills, telling bedtime stories, having random dance parties, enjoying sushi dates, and attending the games, concerts, and events of his grandkids. Above all else, Terry wanted Jesus Christ to be glorified in both his life and death, so that others would know the peace he experienced to his final breath. He demonstrated an unwavering faith and willingness to share it with all who would listen. Those who mourn his death include his wife of 54 years, Julia; daughter, Kimber Graves (Scott); son, Michael McMahan (Ellen); sister, Pamela Riddle (Bud); along with grandchildren, Ethan Graves (Nicole), Anna and Emma Graves, Libby, Chloe, Lincoln, and Vanessa McMahan, and great-grandson, Marcus Graves. He also leaves behind nieces Allison (Eric) Beachboard, Amy (Kent) Ayer, Melanie (Jim) Turley, and nephews Brad (Katy) Riddle, Robert (Peggy) Yarbrough, and Billy (Deanie) Yarbrough. Visitation will be held at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, 786 McMinville Highway, Manchester, Tennessee, on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee, with Pastor Ethan Graves officiating.
