Betty Lois Spray Saine

Mrs. Betty Lois Spray Saine, age 74, of Manchester,
TN, passed from this life on Sunday January 24, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Saine was born in Winchester, TN, to her late parents William “Buck”
Spray and Ovie Lois Farris Spray. She worked at Federal Moguel in clerical
work until her retirement. Mrs. Saine was a member of Beechgrove Cumberland
Presbyterian Church. She was a very loving person and loved everyone she
met. Mrs. Saine was also a very caring person, loved God, and also had a
special place in her heart for her family’s pet dogs. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hollis Saine, Jr.;
son, Tim Saine; sister, Susie Judge; and brother, Gene Spray.

Mrs. Saine is survived by a son, Joe Saine Jr.; daughter, Leann (Kendell)
Williams; brother-in-law, Ronald Judge; grandchildren, Nick and Monica
Saine, McKenzie Williams, Lexi and Paxton Howard, Ashley Beth Williams, and
Dakota and Zack Saine; great grandchildren, Kendal and Cooper Reed, Kawl
Saine, and Daxon and Kyler Howard.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 4:00pm until
8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be
conducted on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 1:00pm from the chapel of
Central Funeral Home with Bro. Chip Sekulich officiating. Burial will
follow in Beechgrove Presbyterian Cemetery.

Shirley Faye Townsend

Mrs. Shirley Faye Townsend, age 82, of Manchester,
TN passed from this life on January 24, 2021 at Unity Medical Center in
Manchester.

She was born August 23rd, 1938 in Albertville, AL to her late parents J.B.
and Katie (Baugh) Moore.  She attended elementary school in Kilpatrick, AL
and always cherished her childhood there.  She and her family moved to
Manchester, TN in 1949 where her father assisted in the construction of
Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC).  Here she graduated from
Manchester Central High School in the class of 1956 and married the late
Gordon Townsend in 1957.  She was a homemaker while raising her five
children, but later did house cleaning and care for the elderly.  She loved
to spend time with her family and friends and made a priority of reading
the bible, praying, and attending church.

Shirley is survived by sons Jeff (Tammy) Townsend, Brad (Amanda) Townsend,
Darrell (Renee) Townsend, Jarrell (Leigh Ann) Townsend, and one sister
(Peggy Brandon).  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Nikki (Will)
Jacques, Nathan (Emily) Townsend, Josh (Chelsea) Cundiff, D.J. Townsend,
Whitney Townsend, Katie (Will) Duke, Kristen Townsend, Jordan Townsend,
Jacob Townsend, and Breanna Townsend, and six great-grandchildren.  Shirley
was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Priscilla Wilder;
brothers Doyle and Kenneth Moore; and sister Lillian Bailey.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11:00am at
Asbury Cemetery in Manchester, TN. Burial will immediately follow.

Nell Ruth Cleek

Nell Ruth Cleek of Estill Springs passed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her residence at the age of 90. Services are scheduled for Monday, January 25, 2021, at 1 PM at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the church from 11AM till the service time. 

A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Cleek was the daughter of the late Austin and Mary Lou Fanning Northcutt. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and loved to read her favorite book of the Bible, Revelations. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with her dogs, watching football, and gardening. Mrs. Cleek had a talent for making chicken dumplings and homemade biscuits, which everyone loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Cleek; son, Robert Lee Cleek; sister, Inez Schmoller and her husband, John Schmoller. 

She is survived by sons, Terry Cleek (Tammie), Philip Cleek (Teri), Alan Cleek; brothers, Leland Northcutt (Delores), Dean Northcutt (Sara); sister, Lynn Perry; daughter-in-law by heart, Gina Cleek; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

JW Ferrell

Funeral services for Mr. JW Ferrell, age 93, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gnat Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Ferrell passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at NHC in Tullahoma, TN.

JW was born on September 20, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Gracie Ferrell. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. After his military career, JW worked as a Tanner for Shelbyville Tannery. He loved to fish and shoot pool, but watching his grandchildren play ball was his favorite past time. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, JW is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Modean Ferrell; one brother, Leland Ferrell; one sister, Alberta Farless. He is survived by his three sons, James Ferrell (Cindy), David Ferrell (Susan), and Larry Ferrell (Maurina); one daughter, Kathy McWhorter (Barry); eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Steven Arnold Harden

Steven Arnold Harden of Manchester passed this life on Wednesday, January
20, 2021 at Unity Medical Center at the age of 55.  Memorial Services are
scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2021 at 12 PM with burial to follow at
Wesley Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 11 -12 PM.

A native of Bakersfield, California, he was the son of Arnold Harden and
Brenda Pankey, both of Manchester.  He enjoyed fishing and playing the
World Warcraft video game.

Mr. Harden was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Rene Harden.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by significant other, Kim
McCormick of Manchester; son, Colton Harden of Manchester and sister, Joyce
Harden of Manchester.

Maggie Sue Martin

Maggie Sue Martin of Tullahoma passed this life on Thursday, January 21,
2021 at the age of 58.  Private family services are scheduled.

A native of Tullahoma, she was the daughter of the late John David and Emma
Jewel Turner Lowe. She attended the Blessed Hope Ministries Church in
Tullahoma.  Family was very important to her and she loved spending time
with her granddaughter and attending family reunions. She also enjoyed
shopping for purses.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Howard,
Randy and David Lowe and sister, Billie Jo Winton.

Mrs. Martin is survived by husband, Robert L. Martin of Tullahoma;
daughter, Stacey Lowe of Tullahoma; son, Robert Martin II of Tullahoma;
Granddaughter, Pazlee Lowe; sisters-in-law, Roxanna Franklin (Fred) of
Nashville and Connie Brunner Lowe of Tullahoma; special nephew, Latrell
Winton of Tullahoma and several nieces and nephews.
