Charles Louis Luttrell Sr.

Charles Louis “Charlie” Luttrell Sr. , of Normandy, passed this life on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare-Harton at the age of 69. Mr. Luttrell was born in Tullahoma to the late Martin Luttrell Sr. and Irene Estella Dorsett Luttrell. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam and went on to work as a Boilermaker with Local 454. Mr. Luttrell was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church and enjoyed meeting his friends at Hardees every morning for breakfast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Martin Luttrell Jr.; and two sisters, Estella Laverne Dorsett and Ada Irene Luttrell. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Arthur Luttrell; one son, Charles Luttrell, Jr. and his wife Sherry; one daughter, Eller Hall; one sister, Eller Pauline Luttrell; five grandchildren, Tamara Hall, Brandon Hall, Shay Kinderknecht (Richard), Kateland Luttrell, and Brysen Hall; three great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Parker, Roman Kinderknecht, and Trinity Kinderknecht; and many special friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6th, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Driver officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Jack Allen Lowery Sr.

Graveside services for Mr. Jack Allen Lowery, Sr., age 97 years and 17
days, will be conducted on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 10 AM in the
Summitville Baptist Church Cemetery in Manchester with Billy Robertson
officiating. Mr. Lowery passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Horizon
Health & Rehab in Manchester after an extended illness.

Mr. Lowery was born on July 16, 1923, to the late Archibald Yale and Ruby
Harmon Lowery, in Manchester. He served his country in the United States
Army during World War II in France and Germany. He received a Bronze Star
for rescuing passengers from a plane that had crashed in an ammo dump. When
he had rescued the last member from the plane, both the plane and ammo dump
exploded. In addition to this Bronze Star medal, Jack also received the
American Theater Ribbon, the EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 Bronze Stars, the
Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal. After leaving the Army, Jack had
many different careers in his life, and finally retired from Carrier in
Morrison, TN. His only hobby in life was raising Shetland ponies.

In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian
Ruth Smartt Lowery, brother, Gadis Lowery, and sister, Jean Elrod. He is
survived by his son, Jack Lowery, Jr., grandsons, Mark and Chad Lowery,
great grandsons, Jacob and Brandon Lowery, and one great-great grandson,
Kyzer, one brother, Billy Lowery and his wife, Joellen, and three sisters,
Joy Patterson, Sandra Lockwood, and Winnie Mears.

Mildred “Bea” Taylor

Funeral services for Ms. Mildred “Bea” Taylor, age 100 years, 6 months, and
24 days, will be conducted on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 11 AM in the
Coffee County Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Vernon Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN at 1 PM.
Visitation with the family will begin at 9 AM until time of service at the
funeral home.

Ms. Bea was born on January 8, 1920, to the late Jim and Verva Lynch Taylor
in Manchester, TN. She was a homemaker and attended the Bibleway
Pentecostal Church in Manchester. Ms. Bea was a very hard worker; she loved
making quilt tops, gardening, and working in her flower beds. She was the
“family babysitter” and she loved to sing.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Bea is preceded in death by her brother,
William Bouldin Taylor and brother-in-law, Claude Tharp. She is survived by
her sister, Mary Estelle Tharp; special extended family, Terry & Treva
Arnold, Jeff & Tonya McKee and family, and Nolan & Tara Maychrzak and
family; and her special friends, Brenda Richardson, and Brian Sizemore.

William James Green

Mr. William James “Rocky Top” Green, 86, passed away Thursday July 30, 2020 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee.  He was born in Beech Grove, Tennessee to Homer Paterson Green and Mildred McDerment Green who preceded him in death along with his wife, Carole Ann Palentik Green; brother, Frank Edward “Buck” Green; sister, Coreland Donner; infant sister, Cathy Green.

He was retired from the Cummings Sign Company in Murfreesboro and was lead
singer and guitar picker withThe Rocky Tops along with his wife playing the
tamborene  and singing at the Good Ole Days, Red Apple Days, Uncle Dave
Macon Day, The Fiddlers Jamboree, Old Timers Day, WBRY Radio in Woodbury
and many other events in the Middle Tennessee area.

He is survived by his son, William T. “Dooley” (Betty) Green, Morrison;
daughters, Rebecca Nelson, Murfreesboro and Bonnie (Kevin) Mathis,
Christiana; brother, Linverd “Satch” Green, Manchester; sister, Mildred
Simmons, Alabama; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great
grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday August 2, 2020
from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the parlors of Central Funeral Home, Manchester,

Sandra P. Vaughan Pinegar

Graveside services for Ms. Sandra P. Vaughan Pinegar, age 76 years, 2
months, and 11 days, will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, August 1,
2020, at the Wesley Chapel cemetery with Kevin York officiating. Ms.
Pinegar passed away on Thursday, July 30th, after an extended illness.

Sandra was born on May 19, 1944, to the late Oley Odell and Evelyn Lorene
Frazier Vaughan in Manchester, TN. She was a homemaker and a member of the
Pocahontas Church of Christ. She was a hard worker who loved gardening. Of
those vegetables that she didn’t can or freeze, she took to the fruit
market in Manchester and surrounding counties. Sandra loved her
grandchildren and great grandchildren and all the family’s pets.

 In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husband,
Matt Lee Pinegar; two sons, Jason Merle and Jimmy Matthew, and one sister,
Dorothy Wilson. She survived by her children, Jerry Pinegar and his wife,
Cyndi, Jeff Pinegar and his wife, Emily, Janice Vanzant and her husband,
Ike; four grandchildren, Alycia Spence, Casey Pinegar, Markus Pinegar, and
Britney Pinegar; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, James Vaughan
and his wife, Becky, and Thomas Vaughan and his wife, Wanda,
daughter-in-law, Goldina Pinegar; several nieces, nephews and a host of
friends.
